Candidate search issue in E-Recruitment

Hi,
We have upgraded recently to EHP4, & for indexing we have applied the
sap Note 1098046 ,all the search are working except candidate search
under candidate selection ,On click of start search no results are
displayed
Software Details
ECC 6.0
ERECRUIT 604 LEVEL 003
The Steps that we have followed is given below
1.Login as Recruiter
2.Click on Candidate Selection
3.Select any one requisition & click on candidate search
4.select any of the search criteria & click on add
5.click on start search

Hello Rajiv,
Please check if the job RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES job is active and further you can also check if there is any issue with the indexing of Candidate information using SKPR07. Select the relevant Document class and language and do Test-indexing.
If inconsistencies are found, try to re-index but with a caution.
Please do not re-index unless the RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES job is stopped. When re-indexing is done, if the job RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES is running, it is possible that the index will be corrupted.

Candidate registration issues with e-Recruitment

Hello,
We are trying to prototype e-Recrutiment for a simple business process.
We have ECC 6.0 with EHP4, SP level SAPK-60403INERECRUIT
We are trying to go with a single server model for the prototype.
I am getting confusing/incosistent behaviour -
I access transaction SICF.
Then I filter the services by hrrcf*.
I close the bsp folder since I am only interested in the Webdynpro.
then I click "test service" on any of the following -
hrrcf_a_candidate_profile_ext
hrrcf_a_reg_applwizard_ext
Sometimes, I get a blank page. Some times, I get a message "unfortunately the system is not available at this time".
Sometimes, I see the login screen with a button "Register Here".
Sometimes, I directly get a User profile screen on "Personal Data" tab, but none of the dropdowns are available (not even for country) and it doesnt go any further from there.
I try to click "Register Here" - then I enter all the registration information and click "Register" - nothing happens.
I am a little confused.
Please provide any clues you may have to help us move forward.

seems this is still a topic of interest. So I'd like to share some information.
First of all, if you like to work with SAP E-Recruiting 600 EhP4 upgrade to the newest SP level which is currently SP5. No matter if it is only a test / sandbox system, due to some "software quality" issues please use the newest patch / support stack. If not you will invest the time needed for patching many times when testing and evaluating e-recruiting and still not get to a valid result. With SP4 sap brought several important functions missing in the original web dynpro ui for recruiter which existed in the prior BSP solution (see business function HCM_ERC_CI_3) and SP 5 has some quite importat correctios for the application. You will save you a lot of trouble that way.
About ICF services and testing them. For running e-recruiitng with web dynpro ui you mainly need ICF services from the web dynpro folder and a folder named erecruiting but there are still bsps used. These BSPs are called hrrcf_wd*. You will find details on this in the IMG under the ui settings for candidate and recruiter. The documentation for the nodes to define e-recruiting services describe which services to activate and which need service users assigned.
Testing servies from SICF or SE80 is not a good idea for e-recruiting. Most of the services are either called from other services which pass information or need information from URL parameters. For an example you cannot test any wd application of the application wizard as they need the publication which the candidate applies to passed in the url. In many cases the system will give you the "An internal error occured, Please try again later." error as a result. A general hint, if you get this message anywhere in e-recruitng check SLG1 for information on the reason for the error.

E-Rec CANDIDATE SEARCH (debug)

I go "candidates search" (un filtered by nothing) and does not leave any results. I want to debug to find out you're looking for the system. Which program or function can i used for debug in SAP R3?

Please, how can we extract the class name and / or the name of the method to debug functionality of the portal through SAP R / 3?
Are there transactions SA R / 3 for debug functionality of the portal in the tab "Recruiter"?. For example, we know that there is a SAP R/3 transaction "pz21" to debug "Job Posting" for ESS (Table t77www_srv)
We can not get debug when adding external breakpoint in SAP R / 3 in class and / or methods:

SEARCH_ON_SES_OBJECTS
CL_HRRCF_SEARCH
CL_HRRCF_SM_ELEMENT
CL_HRRCF_CEC_CAND_TG

Objective: To debug the portal "Candidate Search" in the tab "Recruiter. "
Debug is required by the message: "No data available", but that there are candidates in the SAP R/3 (un filtered by nothing).

Internal error while clicking on Candidate search from Recruiter role-EHP4

Hi
We are getting intrnal error while clicking on candidate search or any search option from recruiter log on after upgrading to EHP4.
after doing analysis through SLG1, we found below issues.

We searched in SDN and got one threads with similar kind of errors. As mentioned in the thread, we have activated below items.
1. HCM_ERC_SES_1-activated
2. Customizing table T77RCF_SPT maintained with required information
3. Run report RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES to update table T77RCF_INT_PUB.
Still we are getting error as mentioned above. Can anybody help on this?

Dear Purnima,
You should have a look at it in client 000. This is where you can find the table entries how they are shipped with SAP. Problem is that this is the search customizing and if we have other customizing entries in our system they don't suit to your system because I found one different entry in table V77RCF_SMG_NAVI. Please can you check out all tables and compare them with your client 000? (all tables in IMG candidate search > search profile and search templates).

Assign Attachment Types to a Search Profile Type
Use
In this IMG activity, you determine for each search profile type which attachment types should be taken into account during the full text search. The full text search is only meaningful for attachment types that have already been assigned to the object type of the search profile type.
Requirements
You have defined the attachment types in which you want to perform the full text search.
You have defined search profile types and assigned them to object types.
In the IMG activity Define Use of Attachment Types, you have assigned attachment types to the object types that are assigned to the search profile types.

E-Recruiting - Internal Candidates not displayed in candidate search, job postings not visible for internal candidates in job search

Hi Friends,
We are on EREC standalone model. Initial data transfer between HR to EREC master data using PFAL is done.
All employees have got NA, CP, US, BP in HRP 1001 in EREC system.
Change pointers are also activated in HCM system, now current master data changes are also in reflecting in EREC system thro IDOC posting.
But when recruiter logs into portal and does a candidate search, no internal candidates are appearing ?
1) What needs to be done for internal candidates to visible during candidate search ?
2) Also while logged as internal candidate, released requisitions are not visible for internal candidates while they try to search for internal job postings ?
Kindly provide your inputs.

Urgent !!!!!!!! E recruiting - Candidate Search not working

Hi experts,
Candidate search of e recruiting is not working. As there are many candidates available in the system still its giving 0 search result. I am not getting why this is happening.
Is there any spro setting required??
Is TREX must for this??
Is any infoquery is required??

Hi Sameer,
which of the candidate search do you think of?
There is the candidate information (the bsp application where you put in first- and lastname and get a list of the matching candidates). This search should always work as it is implmented based on the search help of the business partner and currently does not need the TREX (this will probalbly change with EhP4 when the search is enhanced by the mail address).
The candidate search for requisition assignment or TRM (this crazy screen with the 2 tables where you can select th e different cadidate attributes, set values and move them to the right table to get applied). This search needs the TREX. It is delivered with a base configuration which usually needs only small amounts of customer dependent configuration.
To use the search you have to set up TREX properly and you have to refresh the search profiles which can be done in T-Code SPRO (once at the beginning and always after changing the configuration). After running the IMG point the periodical services have to run in the newer support package levels to get the information to the TREX as this is no longer done directly. Then the TREX needs some time for indexing.
If you use this search please always keep in mind the the result is restricted to candidates with released profile. Other candidates will never be found.

Increasing the Number of Candidate Job Search Results in E-Recruiting

Hello,
Would anyone happen to know where to go to increase the number of candidate candidate job search results in E-Recruiting? It's default value is set as only allowing 10 jobs per page. If you want to display more you have to click the down arrow. How would I allow it to show, say 25, or maybe 50 per page?
Any help you can provide would be appreciated!

I tried the following combinations in table T77RCF_UI_PARAM

None of which increased the number of hits that appeared on the page. The value still remained at 10 per page.
It would appear that somewhere in the result_list.bsp view for hrrcf_unrg_srch that this is being set. If I view the methods for class CL_HRRCF_UNRG_SRCH_HL_RESULT_V I find three that would appear to be relivent: PREPARE_HITLIST, GET_HITS_PER_PAGE and SHOW_HITLIST. However, I am having trouble tracking down where the default value of 10 hits per page is being set at.

E-recruiting - Problems with candidate search

Hi experts,
I'm trying to test some enhancements in E-recruiting and I'm facing problems with the candidate search. At firts I thought the problem was with Trex, but after run report RCF_RECREATE_SEARCH_PROFILES I've found the errors below:

Based on the reply I got for this thread I corrected an inconsistency I've found in the category of seach table, it was using a table as structure instead of an infotype. I've run report RCF_RECREATE_SEARCH_PROFILES again and the error is still the same.
As other trex searches such as advertise search is not working, I believe the problem is not only this, because this other seach uses another search profile that was not enhanced.
Does anybody has another suggestion?

E-recruiting - Weighting in Candidate search

How can we assign different weights to search criteria during a candidate search in e-recruiting. Currently, if I am using 5 criterias for candidate search, it only gives result with match as 100 % though I want to differentiate in the criterias by assigning different weights/ importance to each one.

E-Recruiting search issue

Hi All,
We are using webdynpro screens for e-Rec. The internal candidate is not able to see the job posting when we do a search. I tried all combinations possible. The search for external candidate i.e. unregistered candidate search and registered candidate search for job postings is working. The data is present in backend. Trex is working fine beacuse all other searches are working fine. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,
the easiest reason why a publication could be missing in the employee / internal candidate searches for postings would be no internal publication for the position. But i think this is the first thing you checked.
Next point to check is the posting channel configuration. Be sure that the internal posting channels are really set as internal in the customizing.
Furthermore you have to keep in mind that the standard publisher classes for internal and external channel 0001, 0002 have a hard coded check on these Ids in them. If you use other channel Ids for any reason, you have to copy the classes and replace this check.
If you use the standard internal posting channel 0001 check if the table T77RCF_INT_PUB contains the matching entry and the published flag.
The last point which comes to my mind spontaneously is table T77RCF_SRCH_ATTR. Especially i you try to use the unregistered search for employees, there are some release / patch levels which do not have this table filled properly. If there is no entry for the searches there, they won't show any hit.
The entries for the search for internal postings are:

Hello Elam,
TRM candidate search finds all candidates which have their profile released (table hrp5102, candidate status not 0). Of course it requires the TREX indexing works correctly, including the periodical services running which trigger the indexing.

Erecruitment - Candidate search

Hi,
We have a problem.
Actually, in E-Recruitment -> candidate search -> when we search with employee first name or second name , it displays the user names with personal number and the mail ids (permanent employees).
But one user , who has changed from Temp to permanent recently, when i search , it is giving me old details (temporary). What is missed. This issue is only for one employee. The records are not showing for him with the correct permanent details.

Hello Sekhar,
there are three different scenarios for transferring the data of an external candidate to the HR core for hiring.
the easiest and most commonly used is the RFC connection. When creating an activity of category data transfer the data of the candidate is transferred from eRec to HR core. There it is stored in table T752F. Then you can run transaction PA48. There you can select the candidate and run a hiring action. This is the same action like in PA40 only the system will preset the fields with the values from eRec (similar to batch input).
Instead of using the RFC solution you can transfer the data using PI (this can be activated using a switch in T77S0). To be honest none of my customers is using this. Either they had no PI server at all or they did not use it for eRec
The third was delivered with a business function HCM_HIRE_INT_CI_1. This is based on HCM processes and forms and targeted towards customers using Talent Management Core (e.g. data for education and work experience is transferred into the TM Core infotypes 740X as contrary to the hr core standard infotypes 0022 and 0023 they are structured like the eRec ones). Of course as you can do a lot of customer enhancements to HCMP&F you can replace the behavior nearly completely. One or two of my clients discussed this solution but as far as I know none is actually using it.
The simple truth is most customers seem to not use any integration at all. The first solution is easy to activate but only covers around 13 fields. Compared to a real full blow hiring action this is not even 10% of the fields which have to be entered. So the presetting this small number of fields is not a great help especially as you have to check every information anyways. Furthermore PA48 is not very nice and lacks functions to structure the incoming records which makes it difficult to handle in large distributed organizations.
The other two options require a lot of infrastructure for small functionality. What we discussed with a client was using the new hire integration to preset a full hiring form with eRec data and then send to the candidate as offline form to gather all missing information and use this for hiring. But there were to many issues on data privacy aspects when sending a form with social security data, bank account data, etc. via email. Furthermore they required actual signatures.
