Cannot able to load from PSA - Infocube

Hello All,
I did managed to do a full load from BW 3.5 to BI 7.0 system till PSA using infopackge selections and iam uanable to further load data to inthe infocube using DTP's from PSA...,Did anyone had a similar issue before ???

KJ- No it didnt work as i did tried to load using full mode only after checking the default status .....
Some strange things are happening ....,I tried to run the Infopackage load with some selections at first and it did selected 378k records which is the correct volume ,and i tried loading using delta init in infopacakge to check if it works through that way ,but this this time its running with huge volumes with out stopping ...
P.S : Mine is a datamart loads (ODS) loading from an a system to an infocube in an another system ....I dont understand why this is behaving strangely ...

Hi,
If you have already loaded data in to the InfoCube through PSA and wants to reload the same request from PSA then you need to delete that request from InfoCube first.
After that go to RSA1 -- > PSA Tab --> go to respective PSA --> go to respective Request --> Right Click --> Schedule the Update
It'll take you to InfoPackage there select the data load options like particular InfoProvider. If you delete the specific request from the InfoCube then only you'll get InfoCube to select.
Just schedule it, it'll load the cube now.

Loading from PSA with different process chains at a different time

Hi,
We currently have an issue regarding loading the same data from 2 separate Process Chains from the same datasource at a different time.
Simplified what is happening :
Process Chain 1:
Step 1a = Load 2LIS_13_VDITM into ODS "A"
Step 1b = Load 0FI_GL_4 into ODS "B"
At a later time, (PC1 is ready) =>
Process Chain 2:
Step 1 = Load ODS "A" to ODS "C"
Step 2 = Load 0FI_GL_4 (from PSA) to ODS "C"
Because of dependencies, step 2 from PC2 has to be loaded AFTER Step 1 (with activation) from PC2.
We cannot change Process Chain 1.
What i want to do is load the data from 0FI_GL_4 only to PSA in Process Chain 1 and pick it up again in Process Chain 2. This functionality is available in NW2004S, but not in our version BW 3.0B.
Does anyone have an idea how to do this ?

Thank you for your quick answer.
The problem is i cannot change PC1, but 0FI_GL_4 is loaded with the option into PSA and then immediatly to the target. So data is available in the PSA.
When I try to load data from PSA into ODS "C" in PC2, i get an error saying that the belonging infopackage (from PC1) is not available in this PC and thus cannot be loaded from PSA.

Your problem will be that AppleTV only has HDMI and optical output - no analogue out so unless say you had a B&W Zeppelin or similar that has optical in you'd need something esle to decode the audio to ananlogue.
Some have also reported AppleTV not working for audio when TV is off or in standby.
You may be better off having both!

Difference between Reconstruction and regular load from PSA

Gurus,
      What is the Difference between Reconstruction and load from PSA into datatarget.I understand that during Reconstruction we are not loaing data from R3.
      I have a cube and there are 3 requests in that.I deleted all the requests went to PSA and selected one of the requests and selected reconstruct from this.I went to cube and I can see this selected request in PSA in the reconstruction requests of cube.I submitted the reconstruction/Insert button there.
      Is this the procedure to do reconstruction.If yes then how is it different from regular load from PSA.

If look function wise both are doing samething. But there is difference in data flow, PSA is used as staging area. If we choose at first place to load only to PSA and analyze our load do manual editing if needed and then load to data target in this case ofcourse reconstruct option is not available or we could parrallely or sequencialy load to data target beside laoding into PSA. So now having already have loaded into data target if some how we needed to delete and reload we can reconstruct the request or run normal load from PSA.

Data not loading from PSA to infocube

Hi,
I'm facing a problem while extracting the data from PSA to infocube (On APO SIDE). we are using 3 infocubes and we extracting data in such a way that each infocube has only one unit of measure, so with the help of abaper, we have written a start routine in the transformation that for eg: the products with unit of measure KM should come only in the cube.But no data is coming into the cube and it is showing the following errors
From Abap Side:
It turns up with an error message. The error is generated at the start routine method. In the method abap code is added. the code is "DELETE SOURCE_PACKAGE where VRKME NE 'KM'." Following is the error displayed :
1.) Call of the method START_ROUTINE of the class LCL_TRANSFORM failed; wrong type for parameter SOURCE_PACKAGE
2.) Exception CX_RS_STEP_FAILED logged

Could you please explain it in more elaborate.
V r not passing anything to DATA_PACKAGE neither using it. In the method call v r passing <_yt_SC_1> to parameter SOURCE_PACKAGE. And inside the method v have written the delete code as "DELETE SOURCE_PACKAGE where VRKME NE 'KM'. "
Do we need to change the coding to "DELETE DATA_PACKAGE where VRKME NE 'KM'. "

Error while re-loading from PSA..!

I have deleted request from Infocube which was aggregated.
I was trying to reload the same request from PSA, i am getting the following error:
SID 163.687 is smaller than Rollup SID of Cube
0PCA_C01; No request posting
Please help me in this..

Hi Kiran,
You are trying to load a request into the cube, but the aggregates are already rolled up with a request higher/newer than this request. To solve this I think that you need to deactivate the aggregates and afterwards reactivate and roll up new data.

Failed loading from PSA into Cube

I tried to load data from flat file into a cube. I defined the processing as PSA only in Infopackage, the loading was OK, but when I loaded data from PSA to cube, it failed. I checked the PSA, the Status indicator was red, this record is the first record in flat file. The detail error message as follow:

Hi,
0DATE has to be available in internal date fomat to book into the infocube. you have the following options:
-Change the 0DATE-column in your flatfile to the format YYYYMMDD.
-In the transfer structure, choose a conversion routine to convert the external date format to internal date format.

Issue when doing Delta loads from PSA to DSO using DTP - Pls help Urgent

Hi All,
I have done 3 data loads into PSA and from PSA, iam loading the data into DSO - by splitting that load into 3 using 3 DTPs. (Split that by Fiscal Period).
2 of the DTP loads are extracting the data from 3 PSA requests.
But, one of the DTP load is filtering on ONE PSA request.
So, we are not getting the full data into DSO.
Can some one pls help me why the DTP load is beheaving like this ???
Even though i have not given any filters for Request id, still , for one load its picking up the data by filtering on One Req ID.

The difference is either some dats field are mapped to decimal, or the char 32 field is mapped to raw 16 OR Calweek, Calmonth is mapped to Calday
Both mostly all the ods field size is greater than the input source field.

Error while loading from PSA to Cube. RSM2-704 & RSAR -119

Dear Gurus,
I have to extract about 1.13 million records from set up tables to the MM cube 0IC_C03. While doing, the following two errors occured while loading from the psa to the cube:
Error ID - RSM2 & error no. 704: Data records in the PSA were marked for data package 39 . Here there were 2 errors. The system wrote information or warnings for the remaining data records.
Error ID- RSAR & No. 119: The update delivered the error code 4 .
(Data records for package 39 selected in PSA - 2 error(s). Record 5129 :No SID found for value 'EMN ' of characteristic 0BASE_UOM . Record 5132 :No SID found for value 'EMN ' of characteristic 0BASE_UOM )
I tried to change the defective records in psa by deleting the erraneous field value EMN and tried to load but failed.
Now, my questions are:
How can I resolve the issue ?
(ii) How to rectify the erraneous record ? should we only delete the erraneous field value or delete the entire record from the psa.
(iii) How to delete a record from psa.

Data records for package 39 selected in PSA - 2 error(s). Record 5129 :No SID found for value 'EMN ' of characteristic 0BASE_UOM . Record 5132 :No SID found for value 'EMN ' of characteristic 0BASE_UOM
The issue with record no. 5129 and 5132.
In PSA check errorneous records and it will display only the error records, you just edit as per the require and try reloading into cube.
Deleting single record is not possible.
Let us know if you still have any issues.

I am having load problems when trying to load to an object from a package. To overcome
I have loaded to PSA (which works fine) and then from the PSA tabstrip have scheduled a
load into the object. This works fine, is there any issues with me taking this approach?

No, it may have a practical side.
For example,
1. if you load data upto PSA, verify them there (probably, using ABAP program). After correcting errors you load data further.
2. you load transaction data upto PSA, then load master data and after that update data targets from PSA.
3. This is done almost always in case of using process chains.

Run the full load IP from PSA to ODS with selections on 0CALDAY(give one year selections)
make this full load as repair full request.In display mode of IP, in menu bar click on scheduler --> select repair full --->check the option and click ok.
now execute the IP.
If you run like this, your init which has between your PSA and ODS will no get disturb.

Direct vs Indirect data load from ODS - InfoCube

We know that there are two options to load data from ODS to InfoCube:
1. Direct load:
If the ODS setting is checked with the option of "Update data targets from ODS object automatically", then when loading data to ODS, then the data also can be loaded to the InfoCube, in this way, only one InfoPackage is needed to load data to the ODS, then the InfoCube can be filled with data automatically.
2. Indirect load:
If the ODS setting is NOT checked with the option of "Update data targets from ODS object automatically", then not only the InfoPackage to load the data to the ODS is needed, but also the InfoPackage to load data from the exported datasource of the ODS to the InfoCube is needed to be created in order to load the data from ODS to the InfoCube.
I wonder what are the pro and con between the above two loading methods from ODS to InfoCube.

Direct Loads or rather Automated Loads are usually used where u need to load data automatically into the final data target. And it has no dependencies.This process has less of maintenance involved and u need to execute a single infopackage to send data to the final data target.
But Indirect Loads are usually used when u have a number of dependencies and this ODs object is one of the object in a process chain. So if u require the this ODS data load wait till some other event has been executed , then indirect loads are used through process chains.

How to remove a requisition load from an infocube in a process chain?

We have an internal BI in SAP APO and I have created a infocube to backup all data in the DP module.
I have also created a process chain to schedule the load daily.
Please, consider this:
- I have to load every day a full load, I can´t schedule a delta load, because the data in the past can be changed and need to be load in the cube.
- In the infopackage I´ll have to set a time period range, so the data would be loaded in the cube.
My doubt is:
- How can I set a rolling end date in the infopackage and how can I eliminate the requisition loaded using the process chain?

You can load day wise by using simple ABAP routine in InfoPackage, and also you can keep this InfoPackage in Process Chains.
If you have 0CALDAY InfoObject in InfoPackage Data Selection tab, you write the following routines for that object

Note: You can also do sy-datum -1 and sy-datum + 1 type of calculations.
In my case 'RDATE' is teh field coming from ECC and mapped to 0CALDAY.
My doubt is:
How can I set a rolling end date in the infopackage and how can I eliminate the requisition loaded using the process chain?
