Cannot accept anything that requires permission.

Whenever I go to anything that uses Flash and requires permission (For example, permission to save on my hard drive, access my webcam, mic, etc etc), I can't press accept or deny. I can tab over to them and highlight + press enter, but that doesn't do anything either. The buttons are not working.

I have the same problem, I found a temporary fix atleast for me this works. I you open task manager and end the svchost that is using the most memory it will allow access it switches the theme in my windows 7 from aero to basic and the screen flashes and i also have acecess to the flash box after that.
If you use "svchost viewer" you can see what each svchost is controlling and under mine the process to end in task manager is the svchost that is using these.
AudioEndpointBuilder, CscService, hidserv, HomeGroupListener, IPBusEnum, Netman, PcaSvc, SysMain, TrkWks, UxSms, wudfsvc,
Edit:
After further investigation I pin pointed the service causing the issue directly or indirectly . Type services.msc in the start menu > run and end the service
"Desktop Window Manager Session Manager" im not sure why yet but that allows the flash player settigs to be modified after that ( camera access and such) I think all that service really does is control the aero desktop. Which makes me wonder if its not a addon or theme that wont allow the flash player box to be modified. Ill try to figure out more but as a temporary fix just disable the above service from starting with windows and i think that will do it however i havent tested that yet.

  • I have downloaded and installed Adobe Flash Player, but it was installed to a "disk image".  I don't know what this is and I cannot see anything that requires Flash Player.  What am I doing wrong?

I have downloaded and installed Adobe Flash Player, but it was installed to a "disk image".  I don't know what that is, but I cannot view anything that requires flash player.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help, but that didn't do any good either.  I have been double clicking from the download files, double clicking on the "install adobe flash player", closing the anti virus, closing Safari, watching the install progress and clicking finish.  It indicates that "flash player" is installed, but every time I try to view something requiring flash player, it tells me I must download it.  It shows up in the "system preference"  and from there I can make some changes, but it still won't let me view anything requiring "flash player".   It does not show up in my apps like Adobe Reader does.  It shows up in the "downloaded files" section of "Finder".  I'm getting really perplexed over my inability to get this right.

  • My ipod touch is all of a sudden not letting me do anything that requires my password. I can buy apps or anything. I put in my password and it gives me an error and says try again later. It works fine if I am accessing the store thru my computer. Help?

My ipod touch is all of a sudden not letting me do anything that requires using my password. I can't buy anything and I can't check my purchases. Every time I put in my password I get an error message and it says try again later. This has been happening for 4 days now. I can play my existing games just fine. I can access my itunes store through the internet just fine with my password, but just not on my ipod touch. I sent an email to the itunes support store 3 days ago and have not heard back from them. Does anybody have any suggestions on why this is happening all of a sudden after having the ipod for almost 2 years?

Something you can try is resetting it all Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings. Or go to Settings > Store & sign out & log back in. Another thing you can do is restore your ipod. This has happened to me but the only thing i did was that i created a new account but try doing the things above i just told you. :)

    Hi there,
You mentioned that you have tried a few troubleshooting steps already, but you may want to take a look at the article below, specifically the section titled "If you are unable to access the Internet while connected to a Wi-Fi network"

  • IPhone shows connection with wifi, but I do not have the ability to do anything that requires internet

When I first unlock my iPhone, it says I have connection to internet. But when I do something that requires internet, it either does not load, or it gives me a connection error message. I just got this phone yesterday from my mom and she barley used it. I have tried factory resetting it but it wont let me.

    Hi Bdegroot8,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the iPhone is having trouble with Wi-Fi. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

  • HT1444 I cannot access website that requires Java plug in. I could before I upgrade to OS X Lion.

How do I access a website that requires Java plug in? I keep getting the same message that I need a Java plug in. My software is upto date. I was able to access the same website before I upgraded to OS X Lion.

Lion no longer includes Java by default.  This is a good thing, as Java has become a huge security risk lately.  If you just need to load this site for fun, I'd advise against it.  Java simply isn't worth the risk.  However, if you really need or want to load that site, just go to the Utilities folder, which is in the Applications folder, and try to open the Java Preferences app.  You will be asked if you want to install Java...  choose to do so.
Note that, even after you have installed Java, Lion will disable it if you don't use Java for about 30 days.  (Again, a security feature.)  You can re-enable it in Java Preferences.

  • G5 Crashing when doing anything that requires some effort!

Intially I thought this was a FCP problem as I was having problems rendering anything over a couple of minutes, but I have now have the same problem converting VOB files using MPG Stream Clip namely: the screen goes grey, the fan goes bonkers and I get a message that I have to re-start. It has done this 4 times now.
I have a Power Mac G5 Quad 2.5ghz with 14GB of RAM. Is this a RAM, overheating something more sinister?
    Thanks,
    Dame Hyndman

    That's a kernel panic.
Could be hardware related, could be software.
    Have a look through this:

  • But my problem with the "Plugins" did not start until I installed Mozilla now I cannot access webpages that require current versions (Adobe Flash). You Tube and Disney will not even let me on because THEY say I cannot access their content.

I have tried to download current version of Adobe since I installed Mozilla. Program says it is installed but I continue to get the KYBOSH from the websites.

Well first of all this is a public forum, so keep that in mind. The users here generally can not look up your case numbers.
If AppleCare didn't work out for you, I believe your next step is
    iTunes Store Support
    http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
Unfortunately, their case indexing is on a different database, and they will not be able to look up your case number either. However, their support is free, and despite it may take a few bounces of emails back and forth, there is a decent chance they may be able to get a solution.
Or... you can still try to shoot the **** with us here, which is Ok as well. But you'll have to keep in mind we can't look up your case numbers.
By the way, the link for a refund, I think is for the same link I just gave you, so on second though, mabye it's best to just go there.

1.Download the Flash setup file from here: <br />
    [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
Save it to your Desktop. <br />
    2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure __firefox.exe__ is closed, <br />
    {XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
    3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
    * On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). <br />
    See this: <br />

Are you sure you really do not have a 2G iPod? Those can only go to 4.2.1. If you try to install an latter version you will get the that error.
    Identifying iPod models
    iPod touch (3rd generation)
iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.
The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.

  • I am unable to sign into anything that requires an apple ID.

I can't sign into iTunes, App store, and the such, on my Mac, Iphone, and iPAD. BUT! I can log into my apple ID on appleid.apple.com and manage my information.I have tried to sign out and back in in both the app store, and under settings>store. And nothing seems to help.
I have tried to contact iTunes, and they told me to reset my password (Which I had already done) and do go into settings>store (Which I had also already done.)
Does anyone know what exactly is going on! And has anyone else had this issue!?
Please help! I need to get an app for work, and unable to.

You can have the password reset sent to the email address associated with your ID, as explained in the second option here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5787.  If you don't have access to the email address, you'll have to contact Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password, or by contacting the Apple account security team: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.
