Cannot accept Meeting Request updates on iPhone

Hi,
When I am working at a client's account, I am sending or forwarding important meeting requests to my private mail.
Then, when I open that mail account on my iPhone, and open the meeting request mail, I can scroll to the bottom and see a 'mime-attachment.ics'.
When I click on this, I see the Event Details. And the bottom of my screen reads 'Add To Calendar'.
This works well.
When I update the meeting request at my client's account, I'll get a new mail from there in my private mail.
But when I open it on my iPhone and scroll to the 'mime-attachment.ics' and click on that, I will see the Event Details, but only Delete Event shows at the bottom.
When I click on that, the meeting is gone from my calendar.
I expected an 'Update Event'.
Help!

I accidently solved this problem.
When you put an invitation for a meeting in your mailbox on your iPhone, you can click on the attachment to view that meeting and ADD it to your (iPhone) calendar.
But when the meeting is updated (e.g. to another date), you get another mail with attachment on your iPhone, but when you click on the attachment you will view the (old) meeting and can only choose to DELETE that (not update).
But... and here it comes... Once you get back in the mail again, after you've deleted the old meeting, and click again on the meeting attachment, you will view the updated meeting and can choose ADD to your calendar.
That's it. Problem solved (in two steps).

  • Having to re-accept meeting requests on iPhone after initial acceptance in Outlook

I've searched these forums for awhile and all syncing issues seem to dance around the actual issue I'm having.
Currently have an iPhone 4 running IOS 6.1.2. Business is running Microsoft Outlook 2007 and I'm connecting to Exchange through OWA.. I have no syncing issues when creating meeting requests from my phone or vice versa like others have had and I have not had any issues with meetings being deleted.
However, since updating from IOS 5 to IOS 6, I do have an issue where if I accept a meeting request inside of Outlook, it does not sync and clear out the meeting request as "accepted" on my iPhone. The only way to remove the notification is to select the request in the calendar and accept it a 2nd time and thereby sending a 2nd acceptance to the meeting organizer.
I've tried everything from changing Outlook settings in order to delete meeting invitations after acceptance to the numerous suggestions found in these forums though none specifically solve this particular issue.
Any help or direction to the thread where this might be solved would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Has anyone figured out a solution to this yet? I have an iPhone 5s and an iPad Mini. I have my Outlook 2010 calendars synced on both my iPhone and iPad Mini. If I accept a meeting request in Outlook, it still appears in the Inbox in my calendar on both my iPhone and iPad Mini. If I accept the meeting request on my iPhone, it still appears in my Inbox on my calendar on my iPad Mini.
I have my Outlook set to delete meeting requests/invites after I have accepted them, and that works in Outlook, yet they still remain on my iDevices. I have restarted both devices, and I have backed up iCloud again on both devices. I don't want to have to accept meeting requests on both my iPhone and iPad each time I receive them because that makes me look foolish. I also don't want to see the meeting requests in my Inbox on my iPad after I already accepted it on my iPad because the little number 1 in the red circle (signifying an alert on my calendar) is annoying.
Who can solve this problem so that after I accept a meeting request in Outlook, that invite does not appear anymore in my Inbox for my iPhone and iPad calendars? Please! Thank you in advance.

  • Can anyone help with game center I cannot accept or request friends

Hi can anyone help with sorting this problem out, I cannot accept or request friends via game center, Any help would be much appreciated. I get request and when I click on accept friends, nothing happens, when I go to game center it says no friends.

Thanks Martin. I'm waiting to hear back but I believe he has the Vixia HF S10 or S11. It's a flash-drive HD camcorder. I have heard that the lousy software that comes with the Canon's for windows forced the clips to downsample. I'm going to try to Log and Capture directly from him camcorder. The (canon) device only has a USB port and I didn't think USB worked on macs for video.
My video clips are 1920x1080 AIC, @29.97 fps.
His clips are 720x404 mpeg2 muxed. It doesn't tell me anything else.
In MPEG Streamclip, I can export to the same specs but in FCE it still makes me re-render the clips for some reason. very time consuming...

  • Can't open meeting requests sent to iPhone from MS Outlook

Mobile Me pushes email from my PC-based MS Outlook 2007 to my iPhone. Emails arrive with no problem, including all attachments...apart from Outlook Calendar meeting requests.
These arrive as an email with an attachment that reads "mime-attachment.ics". I can't do anything with this attachment, i.e. read date, time, place of appointment, or respond to it (accept, reject), or insert it into the calendar on the iPhone.
The only way to access the meeting request is to read it on my PC, respond to it and transfer it to iPhone via a normal synch using the USB.
    Any help gratefully received.

I know exactly what problem you're having. It's not a syncing issue. This is a recognized and reported issue. Any Microsoft Outlook Calendar invitation comes into your IPhone as an email with the .ics file attached to update your calender. The IPhone operating system does not recognize nor have any instructions as to what to do with a .ics file. When I discovered this a couple months ago, I researched and found out it has been reported to Apple. Some have speculated that the issue might be addressed in Release 3.0 but I haven't heard.
This is a significant issue for those of us who use the IPhone for business. From a novice's standpoint, it doesn't seem like it would be difficult to put in a few lines of code to recognize and then write the entry to the calendar. But then seems like Apple doesn't seem like it's a priority.
Hope Apple is monitoring this forum. This is my first post.

  • Calendar sending out multiple meeting request updates

When I send a meeting request to a DL all the people in the DL are getting multiple no action required updates after the accept the original request. I noticed that as long as I keep my original request in my inbox it will not send updates but as soon as I delete it all users in the DL get a no action required update. I have deleted my IPhone Exchange account and recreated my Outlook profile and still no luck.

Same problem here, after the 3.0.1 update though i cant confirm its not just 3.0 in general. no fix other than to roll back to 2.1

  • Exchange 2007 Resource mailboxes no longer auto accepting meeting requests

Ww have a large number of meeting rooms/resources, until today they were auto accepting meeting/booking requests and responding to the requester, if there was a conflict it auto rejected and advised the requestor of the conflict.
Today, none of them are accepting or responding.
I went into one of these via OWA and everything is set correctly, no changes have been made that I am aware of. Using EMS I ran the cmdlet  MailboxCalendarSettings <resourceID>| fl, the result was:
    AutomateProcessing                  : AutoAccept
    AllowConflicts                      : False

                                          resource ID
    IsValid                             : True
    ObjectState                         : Unchanged
As far as I can see, this is all correct, but the resource, along with ALL others, have stopped accepting meetings/bookings and are not responding to requests.
Does anyone have an idea what has happened and how I can fix this?
    NOTE:
In an attempt to resolve this, I used
    Set-MailboxCalendarSettings <ResourceID> -AutomateProcessing:Autoaccept
    No change has been seen

I wonder when the majority of people will understand that the best decisions are made close to the coffee machine and not in a conference room :)
Glad to hear that it worked for you though.

  • Cannot send email after update on iphone 5

cannot send email from one account after update,  states my password and/or user name incorrect.  I have it written down,it's not incorrect.

After the iOS 7 update, in order to send email from my iPhone5 and my daughters (also from our iPads) I had do follow Apples reset instructions. Hold the HOME buttton and the START/AWAKE button until your device restarts and you see the Apple logo when your device restarts. You do not have to swipe the message bar which shows up sometimes as your iPhone is shutting down. Sadly to say, but on my daughters iPhone 5, I had to do this 5 times.
If you live near an Apple store, make them do it so that someone at Apple will send a fix for other people. I looked for a simple way to contact Apple and there is none. There is a series of prompts and links that are time consuming to be able to reach support about even a simple problem.

  • How can i accept meeting request on calendar

    Hello,
How can I accept a meeting notice in my calendar?  The meeting will pop up but I do not have the choice to accept or decline.
    Thanks,
    KK

I don't think you can act on the notification pop-up.
Open the calendar app. You should see a button in the lower right that looks like a tray with an arrow pointing down. Tap that and select the appropriate invitation (if more than one). Open the invitation and click on Accept.

  • Recent 5.0 update, and now I lost ability to accept mtg requests, and lost notepad

After receiving a replacement Tour, I performed the device switch wizard, and all came through fine except...
I no longer have the notepad icon, looked everywhere..."show all", options - > Applications -> All and I can't find it.
I also can't find a setting for my phone, or desktop software that will allow me to accept meeting requests.
    Someone please help me!
    Mike

Got my 1st Blackberry Tour in February. A month later, I deleted an App, that somehow was able to wipe out the whole BB software! They sent me a new one. A month later, after clicking on an update icon that appeared on my BB, I lost all the set ups and apps had to be re-downloaded, and some wouldn't work anymore, and a Data Base I use for my home-based business was wiped out. After many calls and replacing my BB two more times, ready to give up on BB, I told my provider (Verizon) I wish I could just go back to the version that worked prior to that frickin' upgrade/update. And she said of course you can! All I had to do was hook up to the Desktop Manager, she told me where to find the prior versions that were still listed, picked the prior one, and Voila! I had to reload my saved Data base, and set the Apps again, but my BB Tour was back to working perfectly! I've been very happy with it since.
About 2 weeks later, another update icon appeared on my Blackberry - I couldn't delete it, but I could Hide it!!

  • Meeting request statying unread even after viewing the meeting on iPhone 5 or even on laptop.

With the IOS6, even if I view any meeting request, they still show as unread, now I'm forced to send a response for the meetings. Since I have the mailbox exchange setup on phone as well as on my laptop, some time I end sending reponses more than once. Also even if I have read the meeting on my latop, then to the meeting request stays unread on the iPhone. Can some one please help me turn of the response for meeting request from my Iphone.

Ted, I'm not sure what to suggest but, one of the trouble shooting tasks I would do is try the wifi at another location. Starbucks or another coffee house the offers free wifi. You need to narrow down the problem. Is it the phone or something else? My guess is that your wifi works fine with other devices. That doesn't mean there isn't a problem with your wifi. Maybe configuring the wifi different would help. Could be a lot of issue. Get back to us on what happens at the coffee shop. If your phone exhibits the same symptoms it is probably the phone.

  • IOS version 6.1.3 Calendar Request Update Issue

I am having a new issue in my environment with IOS devices and Exchange.  We run Exchange 2007 SP3 in a WIndows 2003 Domain.  Our issue involves Calendar requests not being successfully updated.
    Problem Scenario:
I send a meeting request from my iphone (IOS version 6.1.3)
The invitees accept and I get properly notified of their acceptance.
Later, I go to Outlook and modify my meeting request
The invitees get notified of the change but I do not get an updated response from them.
In the calendar entry their response remains the same as their initial response before any changes were made regardless of whether they change their response or not.
Please note that this issue does not exist on any of our other mobile devices i.e Blackberry, windows mobile, android.
Is there a fix for this?

Only the iPod 5th generation can update to iOS 7. If you have an earlier model then you cannot update to iOS 7.
