recently had to reformat my system with windows 7 profesional. All windows updates where performed and all the drivers where installed correctly except the ethernet driver. windows 7 cannot find a suitable driver. I then downloaded the driver from the link provided on the hpe-590t download site, which is described as a intel gigabyte driver sp52222, however the software driver comes up with the following message your system does not meet the minimum requirement for this update (9996). Has anyone had a similar problem.

That will take you to 10.6.3.
If required you can then use the combo updater to get to the latest version, 10.6.8 (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399)

I tried to add an older airport express to my network that I had not been using. It shows up in Airport Utility but Airport Utility says that this version of Airport Utility Dies not support this base station. I am running airport utility V6.3.4 on a mac mini running OS X 10.10. Not sure which airport express it is, nor how to check. I assume I need a firmware upgrade on the Airport Express, but not sure how to do this without Airport Utility. I tried to download an older version of Airport Utility, but could not install because it does not support OS X 10.10 Any ideas other than throwing a perfectly good airport express away?

Don't throw the AE away. It is still very useful as I have both the old & new each work well (sometimes the sound keeps dropping out but I think that has to do with the wirless settings!!!)
You need Airport Utility 5.6.1 which works in 10.10 - I managed to download a .dmg from the net but not sure how I could get it to you.
The new utility doesn't support the old AEs unfortunately which I have and Apple have no intention of allowing a utility that will cover all
AEs.

That website is using an old method of checking the encryption level a web browser is capable of, it mentions Netscape 6.x/7 which are like from 6 to 7 years ago. It looks like they're checking for a '''U''' in the User Agent string. That particular letter in the UA goes back to the days of export controls for encryption software, but those controls expired over 15 years ago. Windows 2012 cluster, CLIUSR cannot be created, password does not meet security requirements

Trying to create a Windows 2012 cluster (Not R2). The cluster creation wizard goes through without problems. However, after a few minutes the cluster service dies with EventID 1556 and error code 2245 "The
password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements." The error repeats every few minutes.
Looking at the cluster log, we find:
ERR Workitem(Sweeper::Sweep) callback threw exception: (2245)' because of '[CLI] Account Creation failure: 2245, 4294967295'
ERR [CORE] Shutting down cluster service because of unhandled exception in a worker thread
It appears it is trying to create the local CLIUSR account, but the self-generated password does not meet complexity... The local password policy is the default deployed with Windows 2012 -
No unusual password requirement (8 characters with built-in complexity requirement)

Please verify that the Cluster Service account has the appropriate user rights on each node of the cluster. The Cluster Service account must be
in the local administrators group and should have the rights listed below. These rights are given to the Cluster Service account during the
configuration of the Cluster node. It is possible that a higher level policy is over-writing the local policy or that an upgrade from a previous
operating system does not add all of the required rights.
If you can confirm your current account meet the cluster create conditions, please disable all your firewall then run the cluster validation and
post the warning and error information.

after almost 1 years successfully applying WIDI on my T540P, now suddenly there is no sound.
I use W8.1-64Bit
After much trial and error I know now that it comes from 4600 driver on the Intel HD Graphics.
If I update to the latest intel version 10.18.10.3652 on the Intel side, then it works. Picture and sound will be fine, but unfortunately I can no longer adjust the brightness of the notebook
When I try to update to the Lenovo version 10.18.10.3496, then I get the error message that my system "does not meet the minimum requirements" and the update will be canceled.
Does Lenovo offers a wrong driver for the T540p?
Does anyone have any advice for me?

Maybe try forcing the install of the 3496 driver using Device Manager and Have Disk? It usually gets around that (artificial) error for Intel graphics drivers.
