Cannot access all help topics

I am currently using PSE 5.0 and I keep getting an error message when I try to open some of the topics. The topic you want to view appies to products that you have not installed. I have tried to reinstall the CD but no luck. Any suggestions?

IOS 8 problems. cannot access all photos under ALBUMS and...

Cannot get IPAD2 to sync just keeps going and going... also cannot access all my photos under albums... only videos and "recent photos". I don't like to use the photos that divides the photos up and I could at least see all photo under ALBUMS, now there are only the last 10 or so. My iphone 4s has not allowed the option to update to iOS 8

Installed Xcodes and now all "Help" topics blank.

In an attempt to play "Myst Online - Uru Live" I followed instructions to install Xcodes from my original install disks. I now have the following problems:
I can't eject the install disk.
All help topics present with blank pages.
Safari will open but also presents with blank pages.
I am currently using the Firefox browser to send this question.
I am not a developer but merely an apple user who is now very much out of his depth.
If it helps, as part of the overall process I also firstly downloaded something called Macports (I think!). The instructions also mentioned something about entering the Terminal and typing a couple of lines of code, but I haven't got to this stage yet. In trying to install Macports after download, I get this message "Either uname or sed could not be found in PATH. Your system appears to be incomplete or misconfigured."

If I'm allowed to reply to my own question, I restarted the computer (which I now realise is the Snow Leopard OS and not Leopard) and everything is now OK with Help and Safari. I also downloaded the wrong version of Macports, which I have now corrected.
However, as part of my quest to play "Myst Online" I have to open Terminal and type in "sudo port install mystonline-cider", after which I will be asked for my password. The trouble is, after I type in the command and press return, my password is requested, but the keyboard freezes, so I can't type in anything else.

It sounds like you may be running Acrobat 11.0.07, is that correct? If so, please choose Edit > Preferences > General. In the entry Scale for Screen Resolution, choose 100%. Save your changes, and restart Acrobat. Did that do the trick?

Hi. The two user tips both describe a sequence of steps that should get your library from the point where it threatens to wipe data from your device to where it is syncing normally, while recovering as much information as possible. It may still be necessary to wipe and reload the device but this should only take place once all the data that can be recovered has been recovered.
Doing step 1 of 8 and then complaining things aren't the way you want them to be yet strikes me as premature...
Since you appear to have all your media content, and we are discussing an iPod classic, not an iOS device, the main worries are already taken care of. What's left is ratings, playcounts, playlist membership and checked status. Since your device holds only part of your library at best you could only recover the missing data for the content that is on the device using third party tools.
Recreating the previous checked/unchecked status of every track in your library from where you are now may not be that easy. Syncing with selected playlists has many advantages, one of which would have been that you would have a named playlist that could have been retrieved by 3rd party software if you had used this method.
You haven't explained what caused your problem in the first place, but if you have a Previous iTunes Libraries folder holding old copies of your iTunes database (generated with each iTunes update) then it would be possible to restore the most recent of these and then update the library with any changes in your media folder.
BTW Apple doesn't offer free support for this kind of issue with iTunes.

Cannot access iTunes - HELP

With the upgrade I cannot access iTunes due to 'unexpected error'.
It say it's the visualiser plug-in. But I cannot uninstall Quicktime (which is what I presume it the cause) as the installer is not compatible with this OS (apparently) - it won't let me get past the drive selection to chose uninstall.
I have also already tried reinstalling iTunes and Quicktime (which I can't do).
Any suggestions how to fix this?

I had the same problem. Tracked mine down to Foxy Music Plug In that i had installed through Firefox. Went to ~\Library\itunes\plugins and deleted the plug in, rebooted and its all good now.

Hi diesel vdub. Yes, thanks for the clarification re: app's - I was rather thinking that they are happily being shared on various iphones & pods in the household. But more importantly, why would I care to NOT have certain books automatically shared on my young adolescent daughters' devices? Because some of the books have grown-up content &/or titles that I'd rather they didn't yet set their eyes upon, that's why!
So I guess that leads to the question ... . Is it possible to pick and choose which ibooks are accessible to which devices?

Cannot access all controls within a panel

I have a panel that I can only access the controls in the top 2/3 of the panel......the bottom thirds has EDITBOXES in it, but I cannot access them. It's as if they do not exist ?

I've never heard of anything like that. I can't imagine there'd be anything in the code that bases item access on geometry though. I suspect you've got something busted somewhere that's causing weird behaviour.

Installed iPhoto library on NAS external HDD - now I cannot access it.Help.

I initially had no problems with accessing photos from iPhoto but now when I open iPhoto I get a message "The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto." and then "Your photo library is damaged or unreadable and cannot be opened.Please restore from a backup."
I cannot even see the individual files when I access the share on the NAS drive whether I mount it as smb or afp.
Any way to recover my photos?

Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums back.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

I cannot access all of my hard drive space on my OSX.

When I bought my Macbook Air in 2012, the hard drive was already partitioned into two parts one OS and the other OSX. The OSX part with the operation system only contains about 30 GB of memory, while the other partition has 90 GB. I deleted the second partition to try to put all the memory in the OSX partition of my hard drive, but found that I cannot do so. The OSX portion cannot be increased from the DIsk Utility page. I was hoping someone could help me fix this problem because I need the the extra space to download programming environments that work with the operating system. I attached some pictures of what my storage space currently looks like.

You are moving your OS around when you do this. You may want to take a backup before you begin - if anything goes wrong you have a way recover. Time Machine is OK, but a bootable copy is better. Carbon Copy Cloner will also do that for you, make one to an external disk to be safe.

I run firefox on windows 7 but in most sites I cannot access all the buttons, even to fill in this form I had to use explorer

I always used firefox but cannot use on this computer, in almost all pages there are buttons that I cannot click on, for example to make this request I had to use explorer becasue the line of menus on the top of firefox was not active and I could not click on SUPPORT
and this happens in most sites, it seems that all the buttons outside the main page are disabled or not clickable.
Maybe there is just some setting to enable or disable but I've no idea where to search.

Power Query Cannot Access all the NAV Table

When I connect to NAD Database via PowerPrivot, I can get all the NAV table it's around 1936 tables, however when I access via Power Query it will only able to access around 1100 tables. All the important tables are not showing at the workbook Queries. Can
anyone help please?

Ok, I have some more info on this. We found this bug right near the time we GA'd but it was too late to take the fix. It will be available in our next release. I don't know if we've officially announced the date but you should have it within the next month
or so.
There should be two workarounds until you have the fix:
As I mentioned in the last reply, when connecting to the SQL database, instead of just typing in a server name, you can also specify the database name directly.
If you don't specify the database, when you're viewing the list of tables in the sidepane on the right side of Excel, select any of them and click Edit near the bottom (or double click on the table name.) This will open up the wrong table in the Query Editor.
Then you can expand the database navigator on the left side of the Query Editor and you should see all the tables in that list.

Cannot access iPhoto, help!

Help please. I took my Macbook Pro to a Genius today, and he took Yosemite off and put Mountain Lion on. Now I can't access iPhoto as it says I have OSX 10.8.5. Also I can't share from iTunes

Which MacBook Pro do you have? You can see details in the  menu : About this Mac.
Both my MacBook Pros from 2011 are faster than ever with Yosemite. There are many reasons, why a Mac can be slow. I'd ask in the MacBook Pro forum for help, to find the reason. Sometimes it is simply a lack of storage, if you let the free disk space drop below 10 GB, not enough RAM, or you may have installed incompatible software.
Did the Genius make a full backup of your Mac, before he downgraded to Mt. Lion, and do you still have the backup?
Just done an update which came through and now can't get the laptop to open at all
What did you update? An application, or a system update?
What exactly do you see, when you try to startup your Mac? Where is it hanging?
