Cannot access Aperture after upgrade

Hi, does anybody know how to re install aperture 3-1-2 that is not recognised on OS X Yosemite. I have tried upgrading since, but this didn't work.
Are my pictures and Raw files retrievable? I am willing to buy Aperture again as a last resort, but will i still get my files back.
Does anyone know an alternative please. Thanks Andy.

Hi, does anybody know how to re install aperture 3-1-2 that is not recognised on OS X Yosemite.
Did you buy Aperture 3.1.2 from the AppStore, or do you have a version with a serial number?
The update to Aperture 3.6 is only available from the App Store. Before you can use the AppStore update, an Aperture version with a serial number has to be associated with your AppleID. This was easier, when Mavericks and the Aperture 3.5.1 update came out.
Install Aperture 3.1.2, even if it will show a crossed out icon.
Then launch the AppStore, sign in with your AppleID and look at the "Purchases" tab. Is Aperture listed as "Accept"? Or showing on the Updates page?
If you do not see it at the Purchases tab, quit the AppStore again, then make sure, the Language&Region" in the   System preferences are set to English USA, restart your Mac and try again.  This worked for some forum members, to get the update to show at the AppStore.
If all fails, contact Apple Support and ask for a redeem code, so you can download Aperture 3.6 for free:
You will need to provide a proof op purchase of Aperture and insist to talk to the manager.
Use this link: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/
Apple sent redeem codes for Aperture 3.6 to several users who had bought the version on disks, if they could provide a serial number, so they could download the update for free.  See for example this discussion: (The post marked as the solution)
Re: Aperture update not possible after update to Yosemite
It is really unfortunate you missed the window of opportunity with Mavericks MacOS X 10.9.5, when the update was easy.

cannot access internet after upgrading to IOS 6.1.2 on iphone 4.

    ok here is the issue.
After i upgraded the IOS to IOS 6.1.2 I'm not able to use mobile internet as i have a data sim card.
As the settings provided by the service provider are not compatible with IOS 6.1.2 and the service provider cannot do anything about it, as it's something that has to be ressolved by apple.

  • [SOLVED] Samba cannot access shares after upgrade

After upgrading samba and smbclient from 4.0.6-1 to 4.0.7-3 I can no longer connect to shares or authenticate with server in general.
Cannot establish new connections. Already connected ones still works.
Downgrading samba to 4.0.6-1 does not change that.
Downgrading smbclient to 4.0.6-1 returns everything back to normal.
I did reload daemons and restart samba.
    sudo systemctl --system daemon-reload
    sudo systemctl reload-or-restart samba.service
    Am I missing something?
Logs reveal this error, which I did not find anywhere.
    /var/log/samba/log.smbd:

Removed samba completely and installed again.
    sudo pacman -R sama smbclient
    sudo pacman -S samba
After this Samba did not start, like it used to before. Important bit of error message:
/usr/bin/samba: error while loading shared libraries: libwinbind-client.so: cannot open shared object file
So I did reinstall for some dependencies, that I thought might be responsible.
sudo pacman -S libwbclient libldap ldb libaio libbsd
Most likely it would be enough with libwbclient and libldap.
I will mark this as solved.

  • Cannot access mail after upgrading from tiger to leopard

When I accessed Mail from applications after installing leopard I received the following message "You cannot use this version of the application Mail with this version of MacOSX" any advice please?

    Hello Hannah:
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
I think we need a bit more information.
What method did you use to upgrade?
What Mail level is on your system (highlight the Mail icon in your application folder and then +"get info.")+

  • Cannot Open Aperture after upgrading to 3.4.5 from 3.4.4

Error message: the installed graphics card does not meet minimum requirements for Aperture. If I go back to 3.4.4 aperture works.

I'd try to reboot - no kidding.
Error message: the installed graphics card does not meet minimum requirements for Aperture.
You can get this error message, if you accidentally boot into "Safe  Mode" (see: Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?). Then the advanced features of your Graphics card will be disabled. Aperture cannot run in Safe mode. You can accidentally boot into this mode, if you are using a wireless mouse or keyboard and switch it on while still booting. If you are using these devices, turn them on before booting.

  • I have recently upgrades to OS X 10.9.3 and cannot access Aperture,  (version 3.2.4).  What do I need to do to access my library!!

I have recently upgrades to OS X 10.9.3 and cannot access Aperture,  (version 3.2.4).  What do I need to do to access my library!!

Update your Aperture version to Aperture 3.5.1.
If you bought Aperture as a boxed version with a license key, run Software update from the Apple-menu.
Aperture may be showing in the "Accept" portion of Purchased tab of the App Store.
If you bought Aperture from the App Store, look at the Updates page of the App Store.
Make sure, that Aperture is installed in the Applications folder and simply called Aperture and not "Aperture 3" or similar.
If you did not buy Aperture from the App Store, then the update to 3.5.1 will change your license to an AppStore license. So be sure to sign into the AppStore with the AppleID that you want to use with Aperture, before you update Aperture.
Aperture will update your Aperture library to a new format. Don't open Aperture on your library, before you have made a backup, just in case.

  • I've lost aperture after upgrading to maverick, common apple this is my livelihood.

i've lost access to aperture after upgrading to maverick, my livelyhood is tied up to aperure let alone all of my photographs for clients, come on apple don't do this again.

I tried the link leonieDFsent (http://support.apple.com/downloads/) and was unsuccessful after several attempts at the launching of the applications after download. Not sure why?,
christopherakapaul, the downloads page has update installers, not stand alone applications.
Any Aperture version you download from the Support page will have to run and to install the update to Aperture. For this to work, you need to have an older Aperture version in the Applications folder, and Mavericks must allow the installer to run. For some installers the security&priivacy settings in the System preferences need to be disabled.

I am having this same issue. I live in Korea and changing the language to Korean made the messages searchable, but when I changed back to  English, the problem returned and I was unable to search all my messages via the search window in the messages app, but then, after about 5 minutes, the messages app crashed, and after that, the problem was resolved. Gotta sat that I'm so far unimpressed with ios 8; seemingly not ready for Primetime.

    Thx Leonie,
Surprisingly, I just went to the crash reporter and there were no reports re: the iPhoto issue. This is the only report I found, which I not sure is related to the iPhoto issue:

As for the TimeCapsule indeed, I use it as an extended drive but I'm surprised it would be considered a FAT-32 formatted drive as this is an Apple device.
I asked the apple reps if I could use the TimeCapsule for such purpose and no one raised a concern. It's also surprising that I didn't have an issue with this prior to the upgrade to OS X Yosemite.
Having said the above, thank you for your help - if the TimeCapsule is indeed the issue, perhaps I can solve the issue by transferring the iphoto library to an OS extended hard drive.

  • Can't access my Aperture after upgrading to Mavericks

I currently have Snow Leopard. Yesterday I updated to Mavericks but found I could not access Aperture. The message said Aperture 3 2 4 was not accessible. Having no idea how to solve the problem I restored Snow Leopard.
I then tried to update my Aperture but with no success. Each time a message came through that I needed to be on a newer version of OSX.
I'd be very grateful for any advice on how to update to Mavericks and keep my Aperture library.

I am having a similar issue with the Arduino Leonardo board. I am running Mavericks and was connecting to the tty.usbmodem programatically just fine (I was using it with the previous os too; I'm guessing some sort of caching that still enabled it to work?).
    At some point during my programming, the board had issues recieving data so I switched to a different (physical) usb port. After some debugging and rebooting, the tty.usbmodem is no longer listed as an option in the Arduino editor, nor is it listed in the terminal via ls /dev/cu.*; ls /dev/tty.*;
The post you linked to mentions updating the FTDI driver. Mavericks didn't let me install it because it was "from an unidentified developer".
This thread: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19621554/dev-tty-serial-missing-in-macos-10-9 -mavericks seems related to this issue.

  • Cannot access iPhoto after Maverick upgrade

After upgrading to OSX 10.9.1, I am unable to access my photos. I get an error message stating that the photos are on a locked disk. It tries to repair teh access but top no avail. I can view my photos on my phone.

Your phone access to photos is strictly on your phone.   It sounds like you put your photos on another account, or an external hard drive that doesn't have the right permissions.  You could sync up the photos from your phone to your computer, but that requires these steps:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4252343
The Pictures folder should not be outside your Users -> yourname -> folder.  Otherwise iPhoto generally won't know where to find it, without a rebuild of the library.  If you did put it outside of there, command-option keys need to be held simultaneously while launching iPhoto, and locate the iPhoto Library xml file in the folder that has your library once it asks you to relocate the folder.

  • Cannot access wifi since upgrading to ios5.1

I upgraded to IOS5.1 this morning.  iphone 4S was fine, but ipad wifi did not reappear on completing the upgrade and when I enter my password, it says cannot access network.  None of the details of the network are listed except for the DNS and I can't manually enter them.  Anyone have any ideas or similar problems?

I'm seeing the same problem.  Running iOS 5.0.1 both my original iPad and my iPad 2 were rock-solid on my WiFi network.  Since upgrading to 5.1 neither device is able to connect for more than a few minutes.  Device connects on a reboot or when resetting the WiFi settings but after a minute or two the network just disappears and the iPad says it's unable to connect.  My iPhone 4 and 4S both work fine on the network with 5.1.  This issue appears restricted to iPads.
Is Apple aware of this issue?

  • VMM 2012 R2 cannot access hosts after UR3

Today I applied UR 3 on SCVMM 2012 R2 , by using the below instructions . Also ran the SQL script , but there was o/p (no error) .After that all the hosts says need attention and upgrade available .I did try to update the agent but no luck . They are failing
with the below error . I have ensured that winrm is enabled on the host as well VMM. Please note that the VMM environment was working before I applied the update . I cannot even  stop the VM that I created on the hosts ...I am new to SCVMM , please help
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2965414/en-us
VMM does not have appropriate permissions to access the resource  on the  server.
Ensure that Virtual Machine Manager has the appropriate rights to perform this action.
Also, verify that CredSSP authentication is currently enabled on the service configuration of the target computer server . To enable the CredSSP on the service configuration of the target computer, run the following command from an elevated command line:
    winrm set winrm/config/service/auth @{CredSSP="true"}
    ID: 20552

Did you update the agents on the hosts after upgrading the VMM server?
This must be done in order to support the new version. I have noticed that this might take a while before the hosts are actually complaining about the agent, but once they do, you should simply be able to update agents directly from VMM.
If this is not the case, then you must explain me more about the upgrade process. Was this an in-place upgrade of VMM?
Did you move VMM to another server?
In what order did you upgrade your VMM server and the agents on the hosts?
