  • How to access exported pdf

when i create a graphic on my iMac and export it as a pdf, how do i access the pdf file on my mobile devices.
    early 2008 iMac OS X 10.10.4
iphone 6 and ipad mini retina iOS 8.4

Commonly there are three ways to create a PDF from MS Visio.
The first is a Microsoft process built in to the Office applications.
For issue resolution (if any) associated with this process you must investigate what is available over in Microsoft web space.
The second and third methods are predicated on having Acrobat installed.
Method 2 makes use of the Adobe PDF virtual printer.
This is installed with an install of Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro (but not with Adobe Reader).
This virtual printer outputs to PDF rather than paper. As with output to paper the output to PDF provides no interactivity (e.g., links).
Method 3 makes use of PDFMaker.
Acrobat's PDFMaker is installed with an install of Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro (but not with Adobe Reader).
PDFMaker can be configured to pass Office applications' hyperlinks through to the output PDF as PDF Link annotations.
    IMPORTANT DETAILS !!
#1 - For Viso you must use Acrobat Pro.
#2 - The Acrobat / Viso versions must be compatible.
#3 - (as with all software) the application version(s) used must be compatible with the OS used.
Consequently, for any meaningful suggestions to be forthcoming you must identify the specific method used eh.

  • Cannot access a PDF with a link in IE 9.

We have an application that shows a list of PDF Documents as links with in an aspx page.  When you click on a link it should open the PDF, and it does on XP pcs.  As of tuesday of this week the windows 7 pcs no longer function.   The Windows 7 machines are using IE 8  & 9, on these machines when you click on the link it does nothing, except highlighting it in blue.   Has anyone else expereinced this problem. It is acting like it disabled the click event for these links.
Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Yes, I was going to post a similar problem as yours.  Is this in a secured site?  I have a similar problem with adobe reader X(10.1), it cannot open pdf files within IE 9 when the site is secured, IE 9 just stays blank no matter how long I waited.  For non secured sites it works most of the time.  There is definitely a bug.
Ex. of secured site pdf reader doesn't work.

  • Numbers | Export to PDF | Cannot Print Exported PDF

I am having a heck of a time with being able to print PDFs exported out of Numbers. I have tried both the File>Export command and I have printed to PDF and printed to Adobe PDF. Once I open the exported / printed PDF files in Acrobat Reader and try to print them, Reader freezes after 30 seconds of ramping up its memory usage in excess of 300MB. The PDFs are less than a MB in size. I have been able to successfully print the exported / printed PDF files using Preview on a Mac, but the reason I need to be able to convert my spreadsheets to PDF is so that a colleague in another state can print them from a PC. Anyone run into this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Is there a way to automate it such that it doesn't repeat the last row or do I just need to manually delete the formula out of all of the cells in the rows after the last?
There sure is. I was in a rush and made a mistake in my formula. I've posted solutions to this problem at least a half a dozen times here in the past and for some reason I didn't recall the bit that you are having trouble with. It came to me overnight that I had led you astray.
Here's a solution for the expression in the reduced table that I've used before and I'm pretty sure you will have success with:
    =IF(ROW()<(MAX(Data :: E)+1), INDEX(Data, MATCH(ROW(), Data :: $E), COLUMN()), "")
    Here's how it works...
The auxiliary column in the table Data reports the count of important rows. The reduced table searches for the count number in the Data table matching the row number in the reduced table. The Index function then transfers the data for the matching row. The problem in my posted solution was with the condition that limits the copying of rows to the reduced table.
Rather than checking the total number of rows in the data table, with an offset, I should have just checked to see how many "'important" rows there are by looking at the max count. The "+1" offset in the test is to account for the Header Row.

  • Cannot access web PDF files

I am using an iMac 27 inch mid 2010 with OS 10.9.4 and Safari 7.0.5, processor speed 2.93 GHz, Intel Core i7, 8GB 1333 Mhz DDR3.
When I try to view a PDF file on the Internet using Safari I get an error message that says "Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then quit and relaunch the browser". This error message occurred when I used Safari 7.0.5 and also after updating Safari to 7.0.6. Normally, I do not have the Adobe Reader open prior to viewing a PDF file on the Internet but, just in case that was a problem, I opened Adobe Reader version 9.5.5 or 10.1.10 prior to opening either version of Safari and got the same error message.
However, if I used Firefox 29.0.1 browser I could view the PDF files and copy them to my iMac. Also the Adobe Reader versions 9.5.5 and 10.1.10 will both open local PDF files from my iMac. Prior to updating the OS to 10.9.4 and Safari to 7.0.5 there was no problem opening PDF files over the Internet with Safari 7.0.4 and OS 10.9.3. So, from this I deduce that Adobe Reader is not the source of the problem and that there is something wrong with Safari 7.0.5 and 7.0.6.
My initial thought was to run Repair Permissions from the Disk Utility but this made no difference. Also the error message does not make sense as you have to accept the End User License Agreement when Adobe Reader is installed and there is no obvious means of accepting the License Agreement again when the Reader is launched after it has already been installed.
    Can you help.

Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
    Step 2
There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
    Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
    and check the box marked
              Allow Plug-ins
    Then click
              Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
    Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
    Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
    Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

how do i fix error code 404?

    Hi sdparent,
You should be able to log in directly to ExportPDF at https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf. If not, please clear your browser cache and try again. And, make sure that you're using a supported web browser: System requirements | Acrobat.com
Please let us know how it goes.

  • Adobe Reader install successful but cannot access PDF files.

Despite several installations of Adobe Reader, a message advises there is a problem. Close and try again. When clicking to open a PDF file, a dark grey screen appears with a horizontal bar in the middle. The blue bar is full, and has fully loaded, but nothing happens. I cannot access any PDF files and need to fix this problem. Please help.

Version of Reader? Version of Windows? Is the problem opening a pdf in Reader or viewing a pdf in a browser?

  • User can't access a PDF with Forms

On a website, we have a main menu PDF with a list of bookmarks linking to individual user manual PDFs.  When a user tries to access a user manual  PDF with forms in it, they get the error "There was an error processing a page. There was a problem reading this document (118)." The user dosen't appear to have any problem opening a PDF that doesn't contain forms.
The user is using Reader 10.1.3 and Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.19328.  This user cannot access the PDFs with forms when given a direct link to the file either. However, if the user is sent the PDF file they can open it with Reader and in their browser.  I'm stumped.  Does any body know what's going on here?

Is there a browser setting that can affect if a PDF opens? Something in security, perhaps? I've looked around and don't see anything obvious that could allow/disallow opening a PDF file that contains form fields.

  • How to purchase Export PDF in France - how to overcome security on a PDF file

I've been trying today to get subscribed to Adobe Export PDF, but since I live in France, it doesn't seem to be available for purchase.  I found a page in French where I was invited to subscribe, but it took me to the French Adobe Store, where this item does not seem to exist.
However, I did reach a page where I was invited to try it out, which I did with a PDF page, really wanting to transfer it into a .csv file, but tried Microsoft Excel as the nearest available.  However, when it had tried to process this PDF file, I got the message that the security on the PDF document was such that I couldn't export anything from it.  I checked the security on the document and found, surprise, surprise, that yes, I couldn't export from it (or much else either).
So, is Adobe Export PDF supposed to override the security on the original documents, or do I have to have another (paid for) version of Adobe in order to use this facility?
If it is supposed to override the security, how can I purchase, or otherwise access Export PDF in France?
If the security settings continue to prevent any access, do I have to go to the original provider of the document to get them to change the security settings?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Perhaps someone can get on to Adobe in France to ask them to make their pages more logical?  i;e. don't invite people to buy something which apparently is not on sale here.  If it is, then please make it available on the store page.
    Thanks

    Good day,
Unfortunately, our ExportPDF service is not yet available for purchase in France.  Update: Adobe ExportPDF is available in France.
As for any security settings applied to a file, you would have to contact the file's originator to obtain the document password and remove that password within Adobe Acrobat (separate program), or obtain an unsecured version of the file.  Our service will not allow you to circumvent any security settings that have been applied to a file.
    Kind regards,

  • Export PDF - I have purchased this for an annual subscription.  I can use it on my PC but on my Mac I cannot access the progrem to use it.  Why?  I can sign in but the only options I get are to buy a product or download a free 30 day trial.  What it this

On my Mac I cannot access the Export PDF program which I have purchased and it does not want to download. What's the whole point?

    Hi stephena,
Are you logging in directly to https://cloud.acrobat.com/export PDF via  web browser on your Mac? There's nothing to download with an ExportPDF subscription. It may be that you have Reader installed on your PC, and are accessing the service from there.
You could also install Reader on your Mac, and then sign in to ExportPDF from there by clicking the Sign In link in the upper-right corner.

  • The process cannot access the file during Crystal Report export

We are exporting crystal reports into PDF using  ExportToHttpResponse (code snippet below)
// Getting the type of the report file which has been selected by the user. (which will be REPORT CLASS type)
    Type objType = Type.GetType("WebApplication1.Reports." + ReportName);
