Cannot access iMessage nor Facetime with correct AppleID

Ok, I have already posted a question regarding the numerous unsuccessful attempts to log into FaceTime and still haven't had any success. Now I have discovered this problem also exists with iMessage. The same pop up message appears when trying to access iMessage or to log into iMessage from the settings. I am able to use my Apple ID at the apple store and all other areas to date. It seems as though FaceTime and iMessage are where the problems exist. I have tried restarting my iPad device several times but still no access is granted, please help!

I'm glad to hear that some people have found ways to get their activation going for iMessage.  Seems like there are a few fixes that work for some people.  After doing all of the suggestions I finally decided to do a restore.  I backed up my iPad 3 in itunes.  I backed it up to iCloud and also to my pc.  With great hesitation I deleted everything on my iPad.  I went to restore it and got a message that it couldn't be restored because the backup files were corrupt. So now, do I just have no other choice but to treat my iPad as a "new setup"?  I have had this iPad since they came out and all this time that I have backed it up, I was never told that my backup files were corrupt.  Now, I guess I have lost everything.  Has anyone had this happen to them?

I was using iMessage and FaceTime with my MacBook.
One day when I was trying to enter my password, I received the following message: "The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later". I am trying for a long time to login in, but the same message appears on.

  • Why can't I access iMessage or Facetime

I recently purchased the new iPad and I have set it all up to use iTunes & the App Store which works fine no problem, I have been downloading apps.
However I cannot access iMessage or Facetime, I enter the password and then it takes me to the page saying my e-mail address is what people will see etc and then asks me to verify it, when I do this it spends about 2mins verifying and then comes back saying unable to verify check emails for verification e-mail, which I have never received.
I have even changed my password to see if that sorts it out however it hasn't. Also when I check my apple ID it says its already verified so I don't understand why I can't access iMessage or Facetime.
I've tried the reset and that didn't sort it.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Update my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 days ago and still neither my iMessage nor FaceTime will let me log in and I am only spastically getting even normal texts.  Does anyone now how to fix this issue?

Update my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 days ago and still neither my iMessage nor FaceTime will let me log in and I am only spastically getting even normal texts.  Does anyone now how to fix this issue?

    ACTIVATING FACETIME AND IMESSAGES
Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS.  Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages.  If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)).  Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation.  If that does not fix things read the following articles:

  • Cannot access to any site with ssl connection and fail to open safari and keychain, unless restart computer and login in with Guest account.

when Update to 10.7.2 ,I cannot access to any site with ssl connection and fail to open safari and keychain, unless restart computer and login in with Guest account.
    OS:10.7.2
    Macbook Pro 2010-mid 13inch

I also have the same problem, however if I use Firefox or Opera sites with ssl connection work fine. Still, I can't use Google Chrome (ssl), Safari (ssl), the Mac app store (generally), or the iTunes store (generally). Both the iTunes store, Safari and the app store won't respond, and Chrome displays this error: (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT). The problem persists regardless of what network I'm using. Also, when trying to access the keychain or iCloud, the process will not start (will hang). I didn't have these problems at all before updating to 10.7.2.
Sometimes rebooting helps, and sometimes not. If the problem disappears by rebooting, then it only lasts a few minutes before it reappears. It is very frustrating, especially since there doesn't seem to be any obvious or consistent way of which to fix it.
    I'm also using a Macbook Pro 13-inch mid 2010.

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

  • I changed my apple id and everything works fine except message and face time. I cannot reactivate imessage and facetime shows my email to send and receive instead of my mobile number.

I changed my apple id and everything works fine except message and facetime. I cannot reactivate imessage and facetime is using my email instead of my mobile number. How do I reactivated message and use my mobile number on both applications?

I apologize. I misread your statement.
The information that I provided about adding the phone number back to the iPad is valid and should work. Now as for the activation of messages, take a look at these support articles for starters. Hopefully, something in one of these will help.

Can you send SMS by using the mobile data network instead of Wi-Fi? I had the same problem setting up my 5s from a backup of my 4s. Only after I sent an SMS via mobile data network, somehow iMessage and FaceTime got activated a couple of minutes later without me doing anything else.
I even changed my Apple ID password, because at one point I could not log into my account when iMessage asked for my account details.

  • I cannot use iMessage or facetime

Hi, i'm new to apple... My ipad is my first apple device. I have not been able to sign into iMessage or facetime since i got the iPad. When i try to sign in a message pops up telling me that the apple id or password is incorrect. However the apple id is working for the app store and everything else. I looked at previous questions with people having the same problem but none of them really help me. Help please. I'm wondering if the problem is my location, are these features not available to users in Barbados? I also see a response to similar questions saying that facetime and iMessage are down, but it has been over a week that i have been trying to sign in. Could it have been down for this long?

Not sure what you are aiming at?
If s/he can login then the Apple ID & password are correct.

  • Imessage login error with valid AppleID

I have an iPad 2 with 5.1.1 IOS. I am able to successfully log into the Apps store with my AppleID. I am able to log into the appleid.apple.com site with my Apple ID.
However, when I try to log into either iMessage or FaceTime, it complains of an invalid account or password.
I have tested the account on a Mac running Mountain Lion with the same result - iTunes login OK, iMessage login fails.
If I try to create a new iMessage account with the same email information it wont let me because it already exists, so the account is valid.
This would appear to be an issue with the iMessage account, but I can find no way of verifying or updating this.
    Any suggestions??
