Cannot access iTunes store after upgrade

I recently upgraded to iTunes 10.0.4.80 and now I cannot access the iTunes store. Before the upgrade I had no issues. Any ideas?

I have just finished solving this problem after I couldnt use mine thisafternoon. 5 hrs down the line and Ive solved it! What you need to do is uninstall all the apple software :
- iTunes
- Apple software updater
- Apple Application support
- Apple mobile Device support
- Bonjour
   This actually doesn't take too much time!
   Then Shut down, reboot, and go to Apple iTunes website. Download only iTunes 10.4 and all the other software will be installed automatically while running iTunes install app.
        I tried many of the other recommended 'solutions' and none of them work. This is the only sure fire way I've found where all the software syncronises together and thus is solved.
      Hope this helps - I wish I new to just do this to start with!

Cannot access iTunes store after upgrading to Windows 7 Pro x64.

I recently upgraded from 32-bit Windows XP to 64-bit Windows 7 Professional by clean install (format) and re-installed iTunes for 64-bit systems. Since this upgrade, I can no longer access the iTunes store.
I can view and edit my account information and the diagnostics gives no clue.

Just wanted to say that I was having the same problem accessing the iTunes store. the problem was that I downloaded a PDF with a virus that masquerades as an Antivirus program, called Antivirus Soft. This thing installs itself and resets your Internet settings to its own proxy server. However, I don't use MSIE and didn't think to clear its proxy settings. I ran iTunes diagnostics and learned thet iTunes used the LAN settings from MSIE to connect to the Internet. Once I cleared the LAN settings from MSIE, I was able to connect.
SO, check your LAN settings if you're having trouble connecting but haven't received any Antivirus Soft warnings. The virus is a bear to get rid of. Any attempt to start an antivirus program is thwarted until you can get rid of the virus. You get "error messages" saying that any program you attempt to open is infected, but it isn't.I managed to get rid of Antivirus Soft by using McAfee Antivirus after a few attempt. The frustrating thing is that the viruis installs itself in your startup program, so you have to get your real antivirus running very fast after reboot.

Cannot access App Store after upgrading to Mountain Lion

Hi all - hope someone can help. I have a new Macbook Air and upgraded recently to Mountain Lion. Since then I cannot access the App Store. Error message is
'Cannot verify a secure connection to App Store, continue? ' If I continue a series of flashing pages occurs. I have tried changing the date as some responses suggest but nothing seems to work. I would be so grateful to fix this as I am keen to download final cut pro x to my new machine.

Cannot Access iTunes Store on Apple TV2 after purchase

I cannot access iTunes Store on apple TV2. I purchased a movie, but when i got to watch it after it shows up as "Rented" it just sits at the screen "Accessing iTunes Store". Never times, out or produces error message. Internet is working fine, my account is fine.
If i launch an iTunes Store Trailer, it plays fine. Just my rented material does not play. Also, my Netflix account does the same thing from Apple TV2. While accessing Netflix on my laptop there is no problem. ***!

Having exactly the same problem. I have completed a reset, rebooted all my equipment and completed a software update, but after I have purchased 2 movies, and have them appear as "rented", I cannot get them to load without waiting a hour. i had the same problem before using a fresh install of Windows 8.1. I have resolved this issue by running the program compatibility wizard. This I did by right-clicking on the iTunes icon in the desktop, selecting Troubleshoot compatibility, waited for it to detect compatibility issues and when presented with the following options: 1.) Try recommended settings; 2.) Troubleshoot program, I chose the latter. When asked what problems I noticed, I checked the following: "The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won't install or run" and "The program requires additional permission"
After that, it tired to resolve the issue, and provided the necessary settings to run iTunes. Now it's running flawlessly. I have Avast anti-virus installed though.

Since upgrading PC to v 11.1.2.31, (and perhaps phone/iPad to ios 7.0.3??), although I can access iTunes I cannot access iTunes Store via my PC to sign in. I keep getting the message to the effect "iTunes Store is busy. Please try later". I can sign in ok on my IPad and iPhone without difficulty.
I have followed all the Apple Support advice, I think. So far I have reinstalled the software, have checked the Firewall is not blocking iTunes, have rebooted the router several times (in all other respects the Internet is behaving normally), I have cleared the Local and Roaming cache etc.

Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

I have a new Nano, and for the past few days I have no been able to connect to the iTunes sztore. The message on the screen says I have to check my network connections and try again. Last successful sign in was 18th Dec.

Thank you...problem solved! Yes I was using the same name. The issue was really for me with downloading the updates for iPhone apps. I deauthorized all, and now am able to download the updates. And play purchased music. So I know I'm good with this machine, and with the others ones when they come up I'll authorize them. Thanks again.

I'm having the same problem as well. I use keychain access often to remind me of my passwords and was happy (initially) to see one for "iphone backup". When I entered it I got the same error message:
"The password you entered to unlock your iPhone backup file was incorrect. Please try again."
Really frustrating.
