Cannot access itunes store
I recently bought my first ipod. I have had an itunes account for some time. After I plugged in the ipod the first time, my computer stopped being able to access the itunes store. There is no error message, it just runs and runs trying to access the store to no avail. I've upgraded to the newest version of itunes, I've restarted, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, run network diagnostics, and double and triple checked my internet connection...everything seems fine. But yet, it still doesn't work. I never had this problem until I plugged in the ipod. Any ideas?
I need help im kinda hving he same problem where when i try and open the store it says " itunes could not connect to the store. The network connection was timed out. Please check your settings and your netowkr connection is active" Ive had this problem ive had my ipos for about a month now and i have never been able to connect to the itunes store please help i really need some more music and id love to give you my money lol

i had the same problem before using a fresh install of Windows 8.1. I have resolved this issue by running the program compatibility wizard. This I did by right-clicking on the iTunes icon in the desktop, selecting Troubleshoot compatibility, waited for it to detect compatibility issues and when presented with the following options: 1.) Try recommended settings; 2.) Troubleshoot program, I chose the latter. When asked what problems I noticed, I checked the following: "The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won't install or run" and "The program requires additional permission"
After that, it tired to resolve the issue, and provided the necessary settings to run iTunes. Now it's running flawlessly. I have Avast anti-virus installed though.

i am trying to access iTune store but keep on getting message "cannot access iTune store" i have reset my password several times and it didn’t help. My apple ID has been confirmed as correct. what can I do next?I am having the same issue! I see several people are having this problem, and I see there is no solution from Apple! Why is it I only see problems on this site and never any solutions?

Since upgrading PC to v 11.1.2.31, (and perhaps phone/iPad to ios 7.0.3??), although I can access iTunes I cannot access iTunes Store via my PC to sign in. I keep getting the message to the effect "iTunes Store is busy. Please try later". I can sign in ok on my IPad and iPhone without difficulty.
I have followed all the Apple Support advice, I think. So far I have reinstalled the software, have checked the Firewall is not blocking iTunes, have rebooted the router several times (in all other respects the Internet is behaving normally), I have cleared the Local and Roaming cache etc.

Hello,
I cannot access iTunes Store on apple TV2. I purchased a movie, but when i got to watch it after it shows up as "Rented" it just sits at the screen "Accessing iTunes Store". Never times, out or produces error message. Internet is working fine, my account is fine.
If i launch an iTunes Store Trailer, it plays fine. Just my rented material does not play. Also, my Netflix account does the same thing from Apple TV2. While accessing Netflix on my laptop there is no problem. ***!Having exactly the same problem. I have completed a reset, rebooted all my equipment and completed a software update, but after I have purchased 2 movies, and have them appear as "rented", I cannot get them to load without waiting a hour. Then, if I leave the movie, I have the same problem all over again. I also cannot access the iTunes store.

I have a new Nano, and for the past few days I have no been able to connect to the iTunes sztore. The message on the screen says I have to check my network connections and try again. Last successful sign in was 18th Dec.

Thank you...problem solved! Yes I was using the same name. The issue was really for me with downloading the updates for iPhone apps. I deauthorized all, and now am able to download the updates. And play purchased music. So I know I'm good with this machine, and with the others ones when they come up I'll authorize them. Thanks again.

I'm having the same problem as well. I use keychain access often to remind me of my passwords and was happy (initially) to see one for "iphone backup". When I entered it I got the same error message:
"The password you entered to unlock your iPhone backup file was incorrect. Please try again."
Really frustrating.
I searched many ways online, finally I tried "iPhone Backup Unlocker" to help me unlock encrypted backup password efficiently! -

Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Cannot access itunes store from itunes - says to check internet connection. I have internet connection. I've unistalled ALL itunes files and associated files, and reinstalled?
Try this:
1. Settings>General>Date & Time>Turn off set automatically
2. Set date one year ahead
3. Go back to iTunes and try again.
4. You will get the same error.
5. Go back to settings general date and time and turn back on 'set automatically'
Try connecting to iTune Store again.
