Cannot access my Apple ID

My iPhone won't let me sign into my iTunes account, and my iTunes on my laptop wont either.
I have successfully changed my password in the last hour, and it still wont let me sign in.
It keeps saying "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" on the iPhone and on iTunes it says "We could not complete your iTunes Store request, an unknown error occured (-50)"
Could someone help me with this problem please.

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

Apologies, I was looking at the wrong schematic for the Apple TV 1. There isn't a button. So lets try this instead...
Remove the power cord and wait 20 seconds.
Plug it back in and let it boot (Give it 10 minutes, it's being tempremental)
Try and navigate to the the advanced menu and do a factory restore
If that doesn't work then if you are using the white remote hold down the menu button for six seconds and release this should bring up a hidden menu which will allow you to access the advanced configuration settings.
Again, if this fails there isn't much to do than tap it with a hammer to see if that fixes it (hard to believe how many times that actually works. (No responsibility taken if it breaks!, but at least you'd have a good reason to buy Apple TV 3)

Cannot Access My Apple Account

I can't access my apple account. I forgot my password and when I clicked the reset my password button, I never received an email with my new password, so I'm basically locked out of my account. I had to create a new one in order to post this discussion

HELP! I cannot access yahoo/apple and some other websites

Ever since i have fixed my internet connection in the college that i attend, i have been having problems with my internet connection at home. Access to the apple and yahoo websites have been sporadical and at times just loads the hyperlinks, missing all the images. I have tried everything i can think of and have been trawling through forums to find an answer, you guessed it.. to no avail. I tried flushing the cache in terminal changing the DNS settings resembling a mac in the same house that works perfectly, creating a new airport in the system preferences, the MTU and the location. I am not a programmer so cannot tell from pings and other requests where the problem lies, but would more than gladly give anyone this information if they would be kind enough to try and solve this for me.
I am in the final few weeks of college before i graduate so i really need to access my main mail source (yahoo) between lecturers to discuss my final year projects.
Google works 95% of the time as do many other sites that i frequent, the only websites that i have noticed thus far have been yahoo apple youtube and twitter.

To re-install SL, back up your home directory, format and re-install.

Error (-3212) cannot access the apple store via itunes

I'm not a machead, but my daughter is and she is struggling to use iTunes on our 4 year old HP desktop. I tried to figure it out, unsuccessfully. I subsequently spent about two hours - getting thru to, transferred around and disconnected, back and forth - and finally speaking to some fellow half way around the globe at the Apple Support Line. He asked me a few basic questions and suggested that I uninstall all of the apple software as well as Quicktime, and install the newewst version. Spent another hour messing with that and a couple of restarts later - It's the same.
iTunes works fine, as it did before. But when you click on the iTunes Store, I get this error message "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error occured (-3212). Make sure your network connection is active and try again"
The connection is fine - Qwest DSL - very quick!
I walked thruough the recommendations from the help menu - to no avail!
Any suggestions?

Yes it is now resolved but not after I send iTunes a request for help and explaining the problem. They send a first reply explaining how I needed to verify my account and gave me the link to do that. You and I know that this did not help, so I replied telling them that this was not working and iTunes did the reset for me.
You may want to open a help ticket with iTunes help. That is the only way it works.

I moved my iTunes library to my external hard drive some time ago and I followed the directions listed here on the apple support page. It did copy my library and now is on my hard drive... I can open iTunes and use it to sync all of my devices but I would like to play my music... I can see all of my music files but can not play them if I click on an album or song it says the following: "(file name) could not be used because the original file cannot be found. Would you like to locate it?" I click locate but do not know where to go from there? I need a way to access all files and not to hunt down one at a time on my hard drive... I am pretty sure I deleted the original library to make space on my internal drive which was the reason for moving it. I have tried and tried to fix it and do not have a lot of time to do so with a one and two year old at my house who do not like it whenI sit down at my computer. What to do??? Any help is much appreciated!!!

See Make a split library portable. Move all of the bits of the library together in the the correct shape and it should work. Or undo exactly what you did and then start over.
If you're a former Windows user don't try merging two folders together that have the same name by dropping one into the same folders as the other, as that goes badly on a Mac.
