Cannot access my NAS through DNS anymore

Hi all,
i'm having a weird issue.
When i set up my NAS, i could access it through the hostname diskstation.
After rebooting my Mac, this suddenly stopped working! I can only access it directly by its IP Address 192.168.2.103.
In Windows, i can still access my NAS via that hostname.
Can someone tell me how this is possible and what the solution is?
I also tried ping, host and nslookup on terminal without any success.

PS: i have edited my /etc/hosts in order to to map 192.168.2.103 to diskstation. But this is only a workaround as it should go automatically through my Router!

From your notes it is not clear why you were unable to access your original account. Provided you used the same Apple Id the iTunes Match data should be accessible.

Cannot connect to VPN through NetworkManager anymore.

I cannot connect to VPN through networkmanager anymore. Last time used it, it worked perfectly but I don't use it so often and last time was 2-3 months ago. So I don't know what went wrong, or which package upgrade broke it.
I switched to systemd a month ago, it may or may not be related.
I can still connect from the commandline using the vpn/vpn-disconnect tools.
All that happens is an alert windows saying: "The VPN connection '......' failed because there were no valid VPN secrets." And here is the journal:

All neccessary vpn packages for networkmanager are installed.
Google did not turn up any useful info other than a few year old threads saying "upgrade your networkmanager".

You can't merge Apple IDs. You also can't cancel (delete) and existing ID, you can only choose to stop using it.
If your old ID was compromised and you can no longer access it, you'll have to contact Apple for assistance. You received incorrect information from AT&T. You can indeed access your voicemail without your iPhone.
Call AT&T at (800) 331-0500 (assuming you're in the U.S.). This is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week number. Ask them how to access your voicemail. Normally, you would just do this by dialing your number from another phone, typing "*" once your voicemail recording starts, and entering your password. You don't know your password, so it's probably the last four digits of your phone number or perhaps the seven - or ten-digit phone number. Let the AT&T person tell you.

You are referring to your iTunes/app store account? You will need to sign out of your old account on your iPhone and sign in with the new one.

Cannot access itunes radio through autoconfig proxy

I've moved to a new office, and the new office uses autoconfig proxy. The autoconfig proxy needs authentication. Since moving to this new office, I cannot access the itunes radio. I've tried going to one of the radio website radioio and tried listening directly from there. But also no success. I clicked on the links on the website and windows media player popped up, but it seems that it also cannot get through the proxy. In addition to proxy, it seems there is also a filter installed at the new office.
Anyone knows how I can listen to the itunes radio again at this new office?

Cannot access Siebel application through browser

We have installed Siebel demo quickstart SIA 8.1.1 in one laptop.The Siebel application works fine. The only problem is that we cannot access the Siebel application through a browser. We have to launch the Siebel application from Windows program menu.We need to set up the Siebel application so that we can access it through IE browser. There are some settings that need to be set up in the .cfg files to make the application available trough Internet Explorer.
We have already tried using the url http://servername:8081/callcenter_enu/start.swe? But it returns "page cannot be displayed". We are accessing the application from the host computer.

Are you able to connect with dedicate client?
if yes, then you just to need to verify setting/configuration for web server. Which can be found in installation guide.
Also could you please share logs. Error you are getting is quite generic and have multiple symptoms.
Have you tried to search on Oracle Support. There is complete article available for this error.

Cannot access Verbatim NAS in Finder

I see several discussions on this matter, however I dot no see clear solution which helped everybody.
My problem with OS Lion that I cannot access my Gigabit NAS External Hard Drive from Verbatim. It can be accessed from any Windows machine, but not from my iMac.
The weird thing here is when I use Finder I see the list of shares on my NAS but cannot get into any of them.
However, with Terminal I can go in, copy files, make directories, etc. Also, I can see my photos stored on the NAS using Lightroom.
It seems that the only problem - is the Finder. But it's a big issue, because it's most handy way to manage my files.
Is there any solution?

sudo mount -t nfs -o resvport <server ip address>:/mnt/ide1/<sharename> /<mounting point>

If you have access to wifi router you may check its log and see what does it say...
Try set the router for no hidden and no password wifi and try to connect. If you iPad can connect then add password to wifi settings on the router and try to connect again... etc...

Network Failure! Help please. I cannot access the internet through AirPort

anymore. never have had a problem in the past, at least not one that couldn't be solved by a reset. I've traced the problem back to the AirPort Extreme, as I can connect via Ethernet cable from the wall. Once it gets to the AirPort Extreme, I cannot connect from any computer in my house. I can't connect from the direct ethernet connection to the Airport Extreme either.
Yet I can see and access other computers in my house. So that would suggest that it's just some sort of problem with the AirPort Extreme sending out the signal???? I don't know. I have Cox cable internet, with a Webstar Modem distributing the ethernet hard connections through a Dynex 8 port ethernet switch. the problem starts to occur at the Airport Extreme. I cannot get wireless internet, or by doing a hard connection to my Airport Extreme. I plug right into the ethernet jack and I get connect just fine. BUT I can connect to every computer on my network, so the wireless network is working properly, it is just not allowing a connection to the internet. any advice?
