Hello. I can't access my yahoo email in my mac. Have been going on for weeks now. I receive email in my blackberry, though.

Yahoo changed their email authentication requirements for Apple devices using Yahoo mail but Apple devices are unable to display a useful error message that tells you how to resolve. Try this:
1. Remove Yahoo account from your iOS/OSX device from the email accounts list in the settings app
2. Log in to Yahoo email via browser (may be required to change password) and:
          a. Activate the "second sign-in" feature
          b. Generate a new "app password" for your device
         (see https://help.yahoo.com/kb/yahoo-account/quotapp-passwordquot-sln15241.html)
3. On your iOS/OSX device add the Yahoo email account using the password from step 2b.

I am having this issue as well. Except I can access my Main AT&T Yahoo account. But am unable to access AT&T Yahoo sub accounts. I can successfully sign into the sub account via Safari, but am continually prompted for password when trying to access the account through my iPhone email. This is really ticking me off!

Thanks so much for your reply, yes I did and that has not worked either . A friend has suggested re installing upgrade, so may try that .

I cannot access my Yahoo Email account or my Netflix account using Firefox.

When I am in Firefox I cannot access my Yahoo! email accounts nor can I sign in to my Netflix account. These I can do in Internet Explorer (which I prefer not to use).

Sorry, I had missed that you are on a Mac.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

I use only support.mozilla.org and never used any other websites. However, the same problem here. My ID and Password are not accepted. Had to create a new account with a temporary email to use Support - it would not allow me to use my main email, because "it is used by another account". Try to reset password - receive no email (even though there is a confirmation on the website that email to reset password has been sent). At the same time can easily receive a confirmation about User ID and account activation. Thus, the account is completely locked, and I can not use my email address for a new one. Reinstalling would be about the most useless thing you could do, given that the test with the other User account works -- that means the application is OK.
The next step that would be indicated would to remove the com.apple.mail.plist file from Home/Library/Preferences, after having Quit Mail. Subsequently when you relaunch Mail it will open as though New, but if you only enter the setup information for each account, and DECLINE when prompt to ask if you want to Import anything. Mail should rediscover the existing account folders, and all should be well.
As a precaution, open Home/Library and locate the Mail folder -- Duplicate the Mail folder, and drag the resulting copy to the Desktop for temporary backup.

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

4S, 6.0.1 upgrade kills access to yahoo accounts

I just updated my 4s to 6.0.1 and now my yahoo mail is totally hosed. I think its an issue with some encryption that apple is sending to yahoo the first time attempting to access the application and its causing yahoo to block or disable ALL mobile access. The reason say this is becuase my android devices are hosed now as well. I can't access my yahoo account form any of my mobile devices.
It was without question caused by the upgrade. Everythig was perfectly fine before the upgrade.

Reset

Then clear cookies in safari

This has to be resolved by your mail service provider. Call them and have them tell you how to create a new password and save it.

Hi, first try opening your Gmail account, then sign out.
If that doesn't do it, open Options (cog wheel) - in the 3-bar menu unless you've moved it, > Privacy tab, then Show Cookies, and remove any Gmail cookies. You can also try clearing the cache by, in Options > Advanced tab > Network tab > Cached Web Content > Clear Now.

Didn't answer security questions, since update cannot access my itunes account with password

Since we updated my mother's ipad, she cannot access her itunes account. It wants her to answer two security questions, which we didn't do when we set it up. Also I put in all the info and it didn't recognize her birthday, which I know we put in right when we set up her account.

I cannot access my sync account on any computer. I have tried to get it to send me the password so I can access it, but I never get the e-mail. Although I attempt to set up a new account in the event that I did not use that e-mail to set up my account and it says it is already in use. You are right. Sync's reset password feature is broken at the moment.
I found a bug where the issue is being tracked and as soon as a fix is posted there I'll update this post. It looks like the server that sends the emails is offline or having some other sort of technical issue. I can't say for sure b/c I don't work for Mozilla.
Anyway, even the Mozilla employees themselves are unable to get their password reset emails. So take comfort in knowing that you aren't the only one with this problem. :) As far as how soon you can expect a fix? I didn't see any timetable for that. I'll let you know if that changes.
