Cannot access Seagate Thunderbolt drive since upgrade
Just upgraded to Yosemite, now I cannot access my Seagate 3tb Thunderbolt drive. Any suggestions or patches?
Yea that is a problem and expected
If you are not trying to restore from that vault the the easiest thing to do is just to create a new vault with the new setup and abandon the old vault.
As vaults are only a snapshot of the current state of the library there is nothing to lose by doing this.
If you are trying to recover the vault you can try this:
Locate the vault in the Finder
Select the vault (but don;t open it) and do a Get Info on it, Either right click and select Get Info from the menu or else select Get Info from the File menu or press command I (eye)
In the Info window go to the Name and Extension section and change the extension from .apvault to .aplibrary.
Now try double clicking the 'library' in Finder. Aperture should open and ask if you want to update the library. Say yes.
At this point depending on why you recovered the vault you could use it as is or create a new vault from it.

After upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion I cannot access a PGP drive which was generated under snow leopard. PGP does not start. When I try to start I just receive a message that Lion cannot work with PGP. How can I now access important and confifential informatio which I have stored in PGP (snow leopard). Do I have to move back to snow leopard. If so, how can I do this?

I have just upgraded to the new OS X V. 10.10.3 but cannot access my iCloud Drive documents using the resident Pages and Numbers software on my MacBook Pro. Help is needed to access those documents using the resident software on my MacBook Pro rather than the Beta software on iCloud.com.
I have iCloud Drive set on the Finder sidebar and use that to open the Numbers Spreadsheet on iCloud.

Reference #18.a555ee3f.1382720248.13b74953I experienced the same problem where by I could not log into my Nationwide Bank account when I had upgraded Safari to the latest Version before Mavericks 6.1.0 on OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.5. I believe.
I already had Trusteer Rapport installed as recommended by banks.
Some Banks worked but Nationwide skipped the log in page and kept taking me to a page about Cookies telling me I needed to enable them but they were enabled. I just could not get into the Log In Page. Incidentally the Nationwides Cookies screen shot is of an out of date Cookies setting page - it is now under privacy in Safari preferences.
I then installed Rapport again when it popped up as an option and bingo I could get to the Log In page.
Took the plunge and upgraded last evening to Mavericks
Same probelm occured cannot Log In to Nationwide.
I have just stopped Trusteer Rapport and thank goodness I can get into Log On again.
However when I logged out and tried to open another site Safari crashed with the following error message
"safari quite unexpectedly while using trf.dylib plug-in"
Chose Reopen and safari opened Ok
I googled the message and that got me here - seems it is Trusteer Rapport
So someone needs to sort this out I guess Trusteer I guess?

I cannot get my MacBook Pro to print greyscale on my Canon MG6450. I cannot access the printer driver panel on the Macbook. So I am stuck printing everything in colour and cannot specify which pages I want printed.
Try resetting the printing system:
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
Next try deleting the system and reinstall the printer..

My motherboard "fried" on my computer when the fan quit working. I cannot access my hard drive on my old computer. I just downloaded ITunes on my new computer; assumed it would pull all my playlists in under my Apple ID and password-no such luck. Help Please?
If your external drive does not have an independent power supply, you may wish to consider a couple of lower-cost options before tossing the drive. Bus-powered drives have no external power source and must get all their power from the computer. They can exceed the computer's USB energy budget.
Cheapest option:
1 Meter USB 2.0 A to 5 Pin Mini B Cable - Auxiliary USB "Y" Power Design for external hard drives.
This gets power from two of the computers USB porst sna can provide enough power to wake up an under-performaing bus-powered drive.
If you don't have enough ports to use this, try the next cheapest option:
Newer Technology 7 Port Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter for Mac & PC
Such a hub has a an independent power supply to make up for wahat the comptuer fails to provide. -

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Try power cycling your router. Un plug it, count to 20, plug it back in and let it reboot.
You can also try going into your iPad and 'reset all network settings'. -
I cannot access iPhoto now I have upgraded to Yosemite. Not available in UK! What can I do? I have hundreds of photos I need access to and more to save on my computer.
iPhoto should be still in your Applications folder and will still work. But if you failed to keep it up to date then Try Terence's instructions here Is Iphoto gone ?i want it back!

My iPhone 3GS cannot access the 3G network after upgrading to OS5. I have checked with my operator and shows that their 3G network is working fine. Only cannot access through the phone. When I enable 3G, there will be no service for my phone. Wifi is working fine.

No. If you have 5.0.1, then you will get 5.0.1 back. Restoring should still fix it though. I would prefer to have you back up to iCloud, because there are many known issues/errors when trying to restore via iTunes on iOS 5 or later. -

I upgraded FIREFOX to version 6.0.2. TROUBLE! I cannot access my calendar since the upgrade. If I select the icon for FIREFOX, what I see on my screen is:/Screen shot 2011-09-09 at 9.18.03 PM.png--or, LOADING, For slow connections, load read-only view. When I select that, a long delay and I can only view the current month, nor the last month nor the next month nor the WEEKLY view, which is my favorite.

Can't access Time Machine files since upgrading to Mavericks
I have searched the community and found that people have experienced issues backing up to Time Machine since upgrading to Mavericks, but my problem appears slightly different from the ones I've found. I can see that my Time Machine is actually backing up since the upgrade as it was before the upgrade. The issue I'm having is that I can't access the backed-up files in any way.
When I try to open time machine it launches the "space view" with all of the historical tabs lined up for me to scroll through, but imediately closes that window and gives the error message: "Can't connect to a current Time Machine backup disc". It's so weird, because it says that there have been backups completed since the upgrade (most recently this morning). If it wasn't writing to the disc, it would have showed me an error of some sort.
What I am, specifically, trying to accomplish is that I need to restore some iTunes playlists that I somehow managed to delete this past weekend. I figured that I would easily be able to access the library file that contains the playlists from Saturday morning, when I KNOW that playlist was still there, and just restore it. Now that I am seeing that I can't access any of my time machine files, I'm realizing that I have an even bigger problem, and that all of my files are, essentially, going without backup at this time (assuming I can't access the files that have already been backing up).
If anyone has some insight as to how I can fix this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.Hi John, (The above was for your attention) I'm 72 and must've hit the wrong button!!!
I followed your instructions to the letter, but sadly, no success...all my backups are showing on the TM external HD, but I cannot access them after instsalling 'Mavericks'
I spent the entire day on and off the phone with Applecare (they are very nice, and I'm sure they know most of the stuff needed; but not this problem. They are phoning back tomorrow as the senior chap was not available.
I love my apple products, and like you, have been using their gear for well over 25 years...not studying the things, but using them all the way through.
My present Mac, a 24" iMac is nearly 7 years old, bought on December 11th 2007, and this is the first time I have had a significant problem, and never a virus..got bless em!. I bet there are not many Windows users around who can say the same!
However, if I cannot access my backups, I'm a bit lost, as all my accumulated stuff is there!
I guess the worst case scenario is that I revert to OS X 10.7.5, and wait 'til the bugs are ironed out in Mavericks....Ho Hum

Since upgrading to Mozilla vsn 4 I can no view e-mails on my Talk Talk webmail. I can access via Internet Explorer, but get a message "You have unresolved e-mails" and cannot access the inbox. I can log in but cannot go into my e-mails.
Please help. Talk Talk technical help say it is something on the Mozilla download. I have cleared history, caches and browsing cookies, so it's not that. I have also re-installed Mozilla vsn 4.Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.

Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.

Can't use ch340g serial port driver since upgrading to Yosemite on MacBook air
I use my MacBook air with the Arduino 1.0.6 IDE. Since upgrading ( free upgrade) to Yosemite. I can no longer acess the ch340g serial port. (does not show up in arduino ide). I tried re-installing the driver. I get no errors and am told the install was successful. This was working very nicely before the upgrade. I now have three boards I cannot use. I am at a loss as to what I should do. I suppose I could go back to Maverick but then I would have to go buy the operating system. This seems wrong to me. I was offered an upgrade that then leaves me up the creek without a paddle. Any help given would be highly appreciated.
I have the same problem, a non stable CM341 serial to tty driver on Yosemity on a MacbookPro Retina.
I followed the advice of Rsattaur, I executed the command: sudo nvram boot-args="kext-dev-mode=1" and now I have big problems with my USB-ports.
The result is a screen-of-death after connecting anything to my USB-ports!!!!
