Cannot access Siebel application through browser

Hi,
We have installed Siebel demo quickstart SIA 8.1.1 in one laptop.The Siebel application works fine. The only problem is that we cannot access the Siebel application through a browser. We have to launch the Siebel application from Windows program menu.We need to set up the Siebel application so that we can access it through IE browser. There are some settings that need to be set up in the .cfg files to make the application available trough Internet Explorer.
We have already tried using the url http://servername:8081/callcenter_enu/start.swe? But it returns "page cannot be displayed". We are accessing the application from the host computer.

Are you able to connect with dedicate client?
if yes, then you just to need to verify setting/configuration for web server. Which can be found in installation guide.
Also could you please share logs. Error you are getting is quite generic and have multiple symptoms.
Have you tried to search on Oracle Support. There is complete article available for this error.

That is quite interesting, I've never seen an error message start with "GAH!" before...quite interesting.
Nevertheless, please try this. With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT

Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive
2) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

Error while accessing siebel application

Hi,
I installed Siebel 8.1 on Windows 2003. But when i try to access the application via http://localhost/service_enu I am getting the error:
The server you are trying to access is either busy or experiencing difficulties. Please close the Web browser, open a new browser window, and try logging in again.
The steps i am following are :
1. Installed Siebel Enterprise Server including Siebel Gateway, Siebel Server and Database Configuration Utilities.
2. Configured Siebel Gateway Name Server.
3. Create Siebel Enterprise.
4. Create SWSE logical profile.
5. Run Database Configuration utilities to install Siebel Database.
6. Run Siebel Server configuration.
7. Installed and configured SWSE.
All the above steps executed successfully. But when after these steps i try to access the Siebel application through http://localhost/service_enu, the above mentioned error is displayed.

After configuring the Siebel Gateway Name Server, the execution is successfull showing no errors. But when i see the log files, i can see some errors in those. I have created a user SADMIN as administrator and then trying to install Siebel. The config info is :

Cannot access WebDynpro application:com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exception

Hello gurus!!
I am trying to access the "Emergency address" from the LWE and I am getting this error "Cannot access Web Dynpro application: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDException$DummyLocalizableTextFormatter@76829226". Could anybody please suggest what could be wrong with this action "Emergency Address"?

Emergency address is the standard callable object for Execution that is part of the Standard Life and Work events. I have customized to reorganize the actions depending on our requirements and i have created a different folder structure and different order of execution of callable objects.
How do I fix this "cannot access Webdynpro application" error? Please suggest.

I recently depoyed my application on clustered environment of weblogic 8.1 SP4.
Now I am able to access the application through the managed server name with port number but not able to access through URL.
For ex
http://machine1:7001/test/login.do?m=begin
this is accessible
If I use
http://test.domain.com/test/login.do?m=begin
Then application is not accessible.
any HTML or JSP page page is in reach by both the URL.
Please suggest me what should I do in this regard.

I meant to ask are you able to see the application you created in Hyperion Planning Login page,if yes try accessing the created application through Hyperion Planning(Try restarting Planning Services once even if you are able to launch hyperion planning page) url "http://servername:8300/HyperionPlanning and selecting the application you created.
And also could you please let me know if you are logging in to workspace through admin username ? and also check if you are able to see the application in shared services and try to provision any group on that application.
(The Assumptions are if application is not created successfully then it will not be available in workspace to launch and if its in maintainance mode (Application Maintenance Mode) in Application Settings and last would be check OHS and Hyperion Planning Services)

You received incorrect information from AT&T. You can indeed access your voicemail without your iPhone.
Call AT&T at (800) 331-0500 (assuming you're in the U.S.). This is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week number. Ask them how to access your voicemail. Normally, you would just do this by dialing your number from another phone, typing "*" once your voicemail recording starts, and entering your password. You don't know your password, so it's probably the last four digits of your phone number or perhaps the seven - or ten-digit phone number. Let the AT&T person tell you.

Accessing OC4J application through OHS

We developed a standalone web app on OC4J. Now we would like to deploy this application to a standalone OC4J running on the same machine as 9iAS. We would like to access our application through 9iAS OHS, possibly with as few changes to our application as possible.
So instead of http://oc4jhost:8888/appname/whatever.jsp
we want http://standardhost/appname should then redirect/rewrite to port 8888 and so on.
Is there a document that describes which configuration files need to be manipulated and how?
We assume mod_oc4j, httpd.conf, orion*.xml, and possibly others have to be edited.
We do not want to run our application INSIDE of 9iAS, because it uses its own frameset and because we want a more up-to-date Java for this application.

Note that
The business client does not need a portal (it can but does not have to)
but NWBC can connect as well (by using the sapgui in the background-
hence sapgui needs then to be installed as well on the same client as
the NWBC) directly against the backend.

You are referring to your iTunes/app store account? You will need to sign out of your old account on your iPhone and sign in with the new one.

User is locked in R/3 but still access the application through portal

We are currently on NW2004s SP10 .
We locked the User A in R/3 SRM backend system and from Enterprise Portal the same User A login and try to access the SRM application in backend . The system is allowing to access which we want to prevent .
The authentication ticket type is "SAP Logon Ticket" . The User A is trying to access ITS services through Portal.
Do we have specific SSO parameter which needs to set in backend SRM application .

Deployed J2EE application successfully. But cannot access the application

I installed SAP Netweaver 2004s and tried to create a Web application and an ear file looking at the example given at

I followed all the steps listed there. The deployment from the Developer Studio showed success. When I try to access the application using the url
http://localhost:50000/Calculator/Calculator.jsp I get the following error. I am not sure why it is looking at com.sap.engine.docs.examples for the file.
The requested resource /Calculator/Calculator.jsp is not available
Details: File [Calculator/Calculator.jsp] not found in application root of alias [/] of J2EE application [sap.com/com.sap.engine.docs.examples].
Please let me know what I am possibly doing wrong here. Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi Viji,
If you are opening the web browser from your desktop , instead of <localhost>, you should use the name of the machine on which your J2EE engine is installed.
Call the calculator application by entering its URL in the Web browser:
http://<host>:50000/<contextRoot>/<Name_of_JSP.jsp>
Where <host> is where j2ee is installed.

Cannot access itunes radio through autoconfig proxy

I've moved to a new office, and the new office uses autoconfig proxy. The autoconfig proxy needs authentication. Since moving to this new office, I cannot access the itunes radio. I've tried going to one of the radio website radioio and tried listening directly from there. But also no success. I clicked on the links on the website and windows media player popped up, but it seems that it also cannot get through the proxy. In addition to proxy, it seems there is also a filter installed at the new office.
Anyone knows how I can listen to the itunes radio again at this new office?

You'll have to talk with the IT people and see if they have blocked the ports.
