Cannot Access Yahoo Email Sub Account

This has been going on since 11/21/14 and Verizon tech people have not been able to resolve for me.  They keep telling me an issue with the yahoo portal.  This is such a dissapointment.    You conduct your business alot these days on your phone through email.  How good is it if its not working.  This is occurring on a sub-account only. We are told this is affecting over 5,500 Verizon customers.   Why isn't this resolved yet??  We use to be able to get our emails on our Smart phone and now are unable to,cant access emails on Ipod either.  I call Verizon every few weeks to see if there's been a resolution and I'm told in two weeks, call again, give us another week.  Very dissapointed customer....

Hi yvette,
Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

  • Cannot Access my Email - sub-account only

For 24 hours I have been unable to access my sub account email from the web, my computer client or my smartphone. However, I continue to receive my primary account email. I have been told it is a widespread problem but I don't see widespread comments here. The message when I attempt login is: "The information you entered does not match the information we have on file." There is no doubt that I have the correct username and password. I have used this account for over 10 years. I checked in my MyVerizon Primary account settings and my sub account is still listed. I called Support and they told me it would be worked on 'soon'.Anyone else have this experience and any solution identified?

All my email accounts (Outlook on PCs, Apple Mail and Outlook for MAC) time out when I try to get email. My Verizon Yahoo on line (I think you call that a primary account) does work, but none of the local accounts can connect.  After support checked my email settings three times and found them to be correct, they said their server was undergoing "scheduled maintenance".  This actually happens to me every once in a while and I go through the same **bleep** with verizon.  Personally I think their server needs more capacity.  I too am surprised that there are not more complaints on here.  This HAS to be a universal problem.

  • Re: Cannot verify an email sub account

    Please help.
I had an email sub account last year which was verified without any problems. Unfortunately I deleted that sub account by mistake this year.
The sub account I'm after is waiting to be verified in my primary account but I cannot receive the verification email. I used to get 553 error but having just got a new laptop I thought I'd try verification again but can't get the verification email and no 553 messages.
I called BT and get told it's impossible for me to get an email address I originally had back again.
    Can you help please?
    Thank you.

I deleted the account in January I think so it is now over 3 months.
    Hi.
Indication is that the sub acconut time limit for re-use is now 110 days. It used to be 90 days, but that appears to have altered.

I downloaded the verizon in home agent, talked to several verizon on line help agents who did a remote assist session. I have to explain the problem over and over again and they do the same thing over and over again. I know the definition of insanity, however the sub accounts still do not work.
Contact tech support through one of the options on the Contact Us page. Explain the issue and that you need a ticket sent to the "OSC" for this issue to get resolved. If they won't create a ticket for you, ask to speak to a supervisor. (Being polite will get you further than yelling, trust me.)
The error you are getting means that what Verizon has in their system for that account does not match what Yahoo has in their system. This is not something that first-level support is going to be able to resolve.

  • Cannot access yahoo email account when I have been able for 6 years.

I am unable to log into my yahoo email account on my Mac OS X. This is very sudden. I have been able to for 6 years. I CAN access on a PC. I have never had this problem. I have never set up the mail program on Mac OS X.

No, it will not affect anything but Safari. I do this regularly anyway (in my case with Firefox because I prefer it over Safari). The cache remembers websites you've visited and, when internet connections were slow, then that was handy because the browser would reload the page from memory instead of reloading it fresh. With faster internet connections today, it is no longer of the same importance - it does speed up things a bit initially, but I haven't noticed any difference. Cookies are set by every site you visit - the only ones you might want to keep are cookies from your bank, financial institution, etc so they remember your machine when you log in. Other than that, they are a marketing tool and completely superfluous. And history is again something the computer remembers that you've visited a site before.

  • Cannot access yahoo email account

although I can open my yahoo account, when I click on mail, on this computer, it seems to be in a permanent loop - login.yahoo...., flashing in the address page., and it never stops. I can access my email through Internet Explorer and another PC but not this one.
And when I try to bookmark the page (that is continually changing or at least seems to be) here is what is says: https://login.yahoo.com/config/mail?.intl=us&.done=http%3A%2F%2Fus.mg4.mail.yahoo.com%2Fdc%2Flaunch%3F.gx%3D0%26.rand%3Ddi7d7m2rvo3fr

No, I'm using classic. When I sign in it show that I have 2 accounts on the left side. It always works with my original account, but when I try to access the other account that I added with my website that I have with yahoo it does nothing. I never had to sign out and sign into the other account before, I would just click from one account to the next. I also get an error message all the time that says that I have been signed out of chat because I signed in on another system, but I am not? I do wish to continue using yahoo mail. I just hope to get this resolved so I can use my mac which I love. Thanks.

  • Cannot verify an email sub account

Even thought I can send an email to a new sub email account when I try and verify that account so I can send email via that account the verify email from BT does not arrive. As there is no telephone based help for this problem, where do I go to get it solved? And yes I have ensured the email address is correct as it is the same as the one I can send emails to with no problem.

    Hi. Welcome to the forums.
May I ask why you are verifying a sub account ? Are you trying to setup access via the primary account in order to send emails "from" the sub account without logging into the sub account ?
Are you verifying the sub account against the primary, or some other account ?

  • Cannot access yahoo email on firefox. have to use internet explorer. ugh.

after i sign into yahoo email i get an error page that tells me it cannot be found. same for my business email.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    1. Clear Firefox's Cache
Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
    2. If needed, delete the site's cookies
Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    ''or''
right-click the page, choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Carefully remove the site's cookies individually, do NOT click remove "all" unless you really want to remove all your cookies (there is no undo for this dialog).
    Does that help?

  • Cannot access yahoo email, but can sign in and get to account or profile

After I sign in and click read mail box it just keeps reading. I found an error message that says: Warning: Error in parsing value for 'background-image'. Declaration dropped.
    Source File: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/home?as=u
    Line: 0

I resolved my problem: Went to browser Tools - Options, clicked on Exceptions for cookies and changed from blocked to allow for: us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com. Don't know how the heck it ended up blocked but removed from the blocked list. Should be able to just remove or you can enter the site address, but make sure you check Allow before saving or clicking to close out of the options box.

  • Cannot access yahoo email

Today on my iPhone I'm getting the error message "The user name and password for "apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect.
I've tried all the tips recommended by various well meaning folks:
    1. rebooting (many times)
    2. changing my yahoo password - doesn't contain any special characters
    3. verifying access via a browser (used the new Chrome one!)
    4. adding another choice for SMTP server (smtp.mail.yahoo.com) - a tip from 2008!
    5. added my gmail account - it works fine
I'm out of ideas. This is a problem with the device communicating with Yahoo's mail servers, which are evidently functioning as expected. Is it time to visit a genius bar?? Don't really want to access email via the browser (like driving on one of those temporary spares).
    Thanks!

Had the same problem starting yesterday.  Tried all the previously postedsolutions to no avail.  Then did the following which seems to have worked:
Delete yahoo mail account from settings
Delete browser history on safari and chrome and any other browser you may have
    Reboot
Set up yahoo account from settings
Here is where this gets weird... My iphone accepted my yahoo account with no problems and i began receiving mail, but my ipad gave the same password error message.  I still saved my account, then checked mail and it started to arrive.  May be worth a try.

  • Cannot access yahoo email since Yesterday

Something happened yesterday where I suddenly lost the Yahoo server. Cannot retrieve email on the iPad mail icon. I can still retrieve gmail and iCloud accounts. What happened?

maybe problems with yahoo mail imap / pop3 server?

  • Is anyone getting this message when trying to access Yahoo Email?  "Cannot Get Mail, The connection to the server failed?"

Is anyone getting this message when trying to access Yahoo Email?  "Cannot Get Mail, The connection to the server failed?"

I have Yahoo mail (POP) account.  Mine is working fine at present.  I do occasionally get asked for password while sending mail.  I have had your issue in the past and it usually clears up in a few hours.  Sometimes I sign out and then back in and it starts working again.

  • How do I solve MFMessagerdomain 1032 when trying to access yahoo email account

how do I remove MFMessagerdomain 1032 when trying to access yahoo email account   I put in password (correct) and still comes up with message

No. Everything was working fine and then it wasn't. I hadn't changed any settings or switched either one off. When the phone stopped working properly I ignored it because I always have my ipad with me but that just sopped working properly and now I am stuffed. I have tried most solutions suggested on here even wiping the ipad clean and re-booting. I did this exactly the same way as when I first got it but still no joy. The same with the phone.

  • I cannot access my email account

I cannot access my email account
It asks for my password when I put it in doesn't accept it
How do I find what my password is

This has to be resolved by your mail service provider. Call them and have them tell you how to create a new password and save it.

  • Can't set up new email sub-account

I would like to be able to set up a new email sub-account.  I've logged into my top level BT Yahoo email account OK and selected Account Info under the gear wheel, and get a verify password dialogue (all as advised on the relevant help page).  I enter the correct password and then get a CAPTCHA dialogue consisting of moving text waving up and down behind other moving random text (NOT mentioned in the help pages!).  I enter the appropriate text and press 'Continue'...and nothing happens.  It should go through to dialogues allowing me to manage my sub-accounts, but it doesn't.
Am I doing something wrong?  I have tried clearing the browser cache and repeated the process about four times with always the same result.
Any help much appreciated.  The Indian call centre were not able to help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The BT account holder should have access to MYBT (or whatever you want to call it) by means of a username and password, not an email address. Once in the account, all forms of administration can then be carried out including setting an email address for correspondence, access to BTFON etc. Further email addresses could also be set up for users under the account management.
Ahhhhhhhhhh Licquorice, that is how us poor minions without a raft of letters behind our names would do it, I think simple logic is the word.
However, as in many walks of life today there are those with supposed qualifications and exerience who, in developing systems etc, appear to want to stamp a bit of their selves in whatever they do, by showing how they can deal with and produce complex systems......................................... when a simple one would suffice.
    A simple analogy.
Remember the Americans spending millions of dollars and wasting thousnds of man hours developing a biro that would write in zero gravity......................... the Russians decided a pencil was best.
