Cannot Activate IPhone: Unusual error message
During activation process while logging into ITunes I get an error message and cannot proceed: "This person record requires harvesting"
Please help!

I have the iphone 4 and when syncing my iphone an error message appears half way through saying "itunes cannot sync apps to the iphone because the apps installed on the iphone cannot be determined" can anyone help? I cant back up my iphone as this appears every time :-(
As another post suggested, I restarted both the iPhone and the computer, and that fixed the problem.

After updating to ios5, got the message "no sim card". I turn off and restart, then reset language, country or region, connect to itune, "cannot activate iphone" I dont know what's going on?
There are several possibilites:
Your security software (antivirus and firewall) is preventing iTunes from communicating with Apple's Activation server, gs.apple.com.
You have a redirect in your hosts file for gs.apple.com. Open the hosts file and delete any lines that contain gs.apple.com. For the location of the hosts file, on a Mac it's /etc/hosts, on Windows it's c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.
Your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it from the carrier it was locked to, and updating it the phone became locked to the original carrier. For this there is no solution that can be discussed in an Apple forum. -

There is plenty of space over 260gbAre you absolutely sure there's 20GB in use, and not that it has 20GB free? If you click on the hard drive icon on your desktop and click cmd-i to Get Info, what is the available space?

Uninstall the corrupt Reader version using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html then download and install the latest Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

i am getting this for the first time when i sync .iphone 3gs error message itunes could not sync calendars to the iphone because the sync server failed to sync iphone
I have tried the suggestion to reset the sync log to no avail. Anyone have another idea? This just started after I downloaded 4.3.5.

Are you accessing it via cellular network or WiFi? If WiFi then is this your usual network?
If it has been working fine for some time and now suddenly you get this message having changed nothing then it is most likely a temporary glitch at Google end or your ISP perhaps.
