Cannot activate new apple id in iMessage

I have setup a new apple id for my daughter's ipod Touch. When I go to Settings>Messages>Enter Apple ID, I do so with her e-mail address and password that I setup on iTunes. I tap "sign in" but then another login screen appears asking for the password for her Apple ID (e-mail address used in last screen). I enter the correct password for the Apple ID and it returns a message that the user id or password is incorrect.
I'm completely baffled.....can anyone help?

maybe you could connect your phone to your computer and have itunes open click on the store in itunes, log in to your account and then go to manage your devices and remove the phone from the list there and try then to delete imessage and update it

I suspect you're referring to the 3 free iCloud account limit on an iOS device. If so, there's no way around this. Once that limit is reached, you'll have to create the iCloud account on another iOS device or computer, then setup that account on your phone.

Can you clarify your problem? Are you having trouble restoring your new iPhone from a previous phone's backup? Or are you having trouble logging into iMessage?

I am stuck in a circular trap.
I have had to update my Apple ID to a new one as I no longer have access to the old email account (old employer).
I have tried to update iMessage on my iPhone to the new ID but iOS (Settings>iMessage) keeps prompting me to first verify the old Apple ID.
I found advice on the apple support site to temporarily swap my Apple ID back to the old e-mail address. I obviously cannot do this as I have no way of verifying the old email address (a required step in changing one's Apple ID).
At this point I am permanently blocked from updating iMessage on the iPhone with my new Apple ID.
Can someone please help!

Still 4 hours later Cannot activate phone no way to contact anyone from apple except to go to an apple store and I will not because they are so poorly staffed with nin-com-poops.

Cannot pair new Apple TV with iTunes

Okay I recently got the new Apple TV 160GB model and have it connected to Internet over Wifi. The computer whose iTunes Library I want to pair it with is a 2006 based Intel Mac Mini with Core Duo 1 processor and Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 with iTunes 8.2.1 presently installed.
The Apple TV had 2.3.1 installed when it arrived -- tried pairing with iTunes while running Apple TV 2.3.1 on the Apple TV didn't work. Updated to 2.4 still doesn't work. Unfortunately I've been unable to get the Mac Mini to connect to the Internet over my home wireless network and stay connected -- it has connected a few times but shortly loses the connection. Other times I try to connect while disconnected and get errors that it could not connect.
Regardless, the few times I did manage to connect over Wifi my Mac Mini would not recognize my Apple TV (has never been paired with iTunes so has not even been named) we use a Linksys wireless router for wireless Internet.
At times the wireless Internet connection in my bedroom where I keep the Apple TV and Mac Mini has been unreliable -- when using my iPod Touch I also own with Internet access any time I am using it in my bedroom the Wifi access quickly gets lost -- to reconnect have to venture out into the hallway then come back the room and get some Wifi use within the room for about 2 minutes before losing the connection again.
However, my Apple TV in my bedroom once connected has had no problem staying connected to the wireless network neither does the Nintendo Wii I own. Also my new MacBook Pro can connect to the Internet wirelessly within the bedroom and often stay connected -- although a few times even when using MacBook Pro the connection gets lost and I go outside the room and connection is restored.
Anyways even when I manage to get the Mac Mini on the wireless network iTunes is unable to recognize and pair my Apple TV. In the past I have gotten it to recognize my iPod Touch as a wireless remote and use Apple's Remote app and/or the Rowmote Pro app from Apple's iPhone App Store with it -- only recently they aren't showing up either due to connection problems of the Mac Mini accessing the wireless network.
Whenever the Mac Mini does connect to the wireless network it only stays connected a brief time and then is hard to get it to reconnect. Last time it connected I feel I got lucky and I'm not superstitious so I wouldn't believe in being lucky or unlucky.
Anyways, when the Mac Mini has connected wirelessly even then it does not recognize the Apple TV. This Apple TV has never been synced to before or streamed to. The only thing I've been able to use it for so far is accessing iTunes Store on the TV and accessing YouTube.
All my purchases are on the Mac Mini though and don't want to have to re-purchase them from Apple TV and download to it. In any case whether I bought some content from Apple TV or not (would not want to have to re-buy all of it) I should be able to get Apple TV to be recognized with iTunes.
At present the Mac Mini which I'm using to type and send this is connected over a wired Ethernet network and the Apple TV is connected over Wifi. I've tried going into the Firewall and ensuring the port for iTunes Music Sharing is enabled, and UDP port 5353 as noted by an Apple Support document online for Bonjour Networking is enabled. I've tried restarting the Mac Mini but Apple TV just won't show up in iTunes at all even when the Mac Mini was also on the wireless network.

Update: My Apple TV is connected via Wifi but Mini via Ethernet and Mini does not seem to recognize Apple TV unless Mini also has Wifi or unless I run Ethernet cord from Mini directly to Apple TV at which point they are physically connected to each other but neither has Internet.
I think there is a problem with my Mini's Airport card -- yesterday for the first time in over a month I managed to get it to connect wirelessly again and keep it connected for a few hours (during which time Apple TV showed up in the devices list on Mac Mini's iTunes Library) but after that it lost the connection and have been struggling ever since to get it reconnected. Have posted on the Mac Mini, Mac Mini (previous early 2009 models) Internet & Networking with Mac Mini discussion forum by Apple for help and now the Airport Extreme section of Apple Discussions.
Thanks for the help -- I now know this is not a problem with the Apple TV it is likely a hardware issue with Mini's Airport card and as it is out of warranty now would unfortunately have to pay to get it repaired.

Cannot get new Apple wireless keyboard to pair

I've followed the "how to" document but it does not work -- I'm assuming those instructions applied to the previous generation apple wireless keyboard, but not the new aluminum series.
When I "Add new connection" (either Express or Custom mode) a dialogue box pops up asking me to enter a PIN on the keyboard and press enter. I enter the number given, but I get an error message that authentication "went wrong." I've heard that I need to enter a PIN of 0000 for the keyboard to work, but the Toshiba Bluetooth stack doesn't seem to want to let me choose my own PIN - it always chooses for me.
I have uninstalled the Toshiba stack and tried the XP SP2 stack -- it works with the new apple keyboard when a PIN of 0000 is used. Unfortunately, the XP SP2 stack doesn't have the other profiles I need so I can't really use it.
Has anyone figured this out?

So you have entered the according PIN code into the Bluetooth keyboard (not the PC keyboard ! ) and "Link Level Security" was enabled - Is this correct ?

Just wondered if anybody can help me with couple of issues I have with my Iphone 5 after updating to iOS7.
1. My Facetime and iMessages will not activate with my apple Id it keeps showing and flases up the error 'Could not sgn in. Please check your Network connection and try again' yet my Connection is fine.
2. I have not been getting my push notifications everytime I open an app it tells me I need to connect to itunes to sort push notifications out but after uninstalling itunes on my laptop and reinstalling it wont let me sync my phone to it.
Would be very greatful for any help offered as im tempted to throw my phone at the wall lol

Cannot Activate [New] Ipad - Ipad Not Detected on iTunes

I received my iPad through the mail, yesterday, and have been unable to use it due to it's inability to reach the activation server ('Could Not Activate iPad' error). I read via the forum that it could be related to a server overdrive, however, it is now 24 hrs later and I am still unable to activate it.
My WiFi Connect is perfect; all 3 bars. The iPad looks to have the new IOS 7.
I decided to go forth suggestion of activating the iPad via iTunes, so I downloaded it onto my laptop, following all of the reccommended steps. Nothing happened. I clicked Help>Run Diagnostics, everything is fine and dandy except for one test result stating 'No Ipad, Ipod, etc. Dectected'.
How am I to activate my iPad without the option of using WiFi, nor iTunes. Help!

Make sure that the version of iTunes on your laptop is iTunes 11.1 or later. If not update iTunes.
Try resetting the iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. Then try activating again.
Also check to make sure your Wi-Fi network router is not running a firewall. That might interfere with activation. Once your phone is up and working you can turn the firewall back on. Also turn off any virus protection software on your computer during the activation process.

Cannot activate new account in Mail, random misfuncioning. Reinstall Mail?

I am not able to activate a new POP account in Mail (I already have 1 POP and 1 .Mac active accounts). Other Mac with identical software has no problem at all....!
Maybe too many emails, or just the Mail software is corrupted.
Do I need to reinstall Mail? How to do it without loosing precious emails in memory?

I wouldn't reinstall Mail just yet.
I'm having the same problem at work. I'm starting to suspect it is an issue with 10.4.8.
Up until yesterday I could start new accounts, but they couldn't receive mail. Today I can't install a new account at all.
I can set up Exchange accounts, however, through Mail.
What exactly happens when you try to activate the POP account.

I am unable to sign activate my Apple ID for iMessage in Messages (beta).

I enter my Apple ID and password and it just spins....forever....
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app.
I have tried my wife's ID
I turn the firewall off.
I plugged the computer directly into the modem.
I have deleted all the keychain entries I can find for messages.app
Messages.app logs into my AIM and google talk accounts just fine.
I am running out of ideas.

I fixed my own issue.
I added the google dns to my list of dns.
System Preferences > Network > Advanced....
DNS button (tab)
click the + button under DNS Servers and add 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4
Now if only there was a solution that didn't require me to go through Google's creepy we-watch-everywhere-you-go DNS servers.
Oh well, it works for now.

Cannot Activate New Sim

So, after an issue with my old sim, i was sent a replacement by EE (T-Mobile) and arrived fine, put into my phone, a Blackberry Curve and problem sorted.Logged into my MyEE account and went to activate the SIM as the interactive services don't work, like checking balance and so on, the messages send, but i get nothing back.But when i enter the details; the mobile number, the PIN they send you and then the SIM serial number, i get a message saying the serial number is not regognised. Help?

Cannot get new Apple TV to send audio to my 2 year old Dennon Receiver, tried HDMI and digial optical cable. Any suggestions?

Just purchased Apple TV. HDMI works fine direct to Sony TV, but want audio through my Dennon Receiver and speakers. Tried the digital optical cable, no sound. Connect Apple Tv HDMI directly to Receiver, no sound or picuture. Ops manual indicates this is suppose to work. Contact Apple support and they offered no solutions? My son has similar system and it works fine via HDMI. What am I missing?

I am far from an expert but recently connected my tv, directv receiver and Apple TV to a Pioneer Surround Sound Receiver and was pleased that it worked. Here are some things I read as I was setting all this up:
1. TV must have an HDMI ARC input for it to support audio. You would connect the HDMI output from the receiver to this HDMI ARC input on your tv. My tv manual , (Sony Bravia tv) did not mention an HDMI ARC input nor was it marked that way on the tv's HDMI input on the back but I used HDMI 1 and it works. If you don't have HDMU ARC, you probably already know you have to use a digital optical connection.
2. Regardless of whether you use HDMI or digital optical connections, there are still some settings you have to make on the tv and receiver for audio. Consult your tv and receiver manuals for these settings.
