Cannot add new contact or edit existing one. TH GSM, curve 8900, OS v5.0.01067, file free none ,battery pull didn't fix the problem, applications Google maps 3.0.2, whatsapp 2.6.2177. Device even freezes when trying to add or edit . Thanks

Hey Edward, I'm not sure if you're still having trouble with this, but I was struggling with it too, and what I believe fixed it for me was correcting some incorrect MobileMe login info. I guess the contacts were set up to be managed by MobileMe, and since the login wasn't going through, some permissions were disallowed. Anyway, my guess is that you have something misconfigured in an account that's managing your contacts. Good luck!

Cannot add new selectors or edit existing CSS file with my Mac

I have just subscibed to Dreamweaver CC and I cannot add new selectors or edit the exisiting "main" css that comes with the tutorial. When asked to add selector a box appears but when I press enter/return twice it disappears. Also there is no option to edit existing properties. for example, to change a font color I pick color but there is no enter or "OK" option. I'm very puzzled and stuck.

The trial version of Dreamweaver is fully functional. The only limitation is that it stops working after 30 days. If you're having problems with getting the software to work correctly, it might be a good idea to try posting a question in the Downloading, Installing, Setting Up forum, mentioning the fact that you've already posted here (otherwise, they might just transfer you back to this or one of the other Dreamweaver forums).
If you can't make changes to files, it might have something to do with permissions or the user account that you've logged onto the computer with.
When asking for help in the other forum, mention your operating system, and which version you're using. The problem might be related to your computer setup.

I thought I had found the offending 'app' namely "Songpop."
I regularly use "Songpop" on my phone late at night via my wifi connection.
All enteries on my phonebill are at midnight (even though I have a data allowance it was excluded from allowance). I switched 3G off on Friday, played "Songpop" at midnight and at the exact time I got a "Server Error" message.
I posted a message on the "Songpop" support forum.At first they said this was a problem relating to my ISP.
I have spoken to my ISP and asked if there are connection drops at the time I have been billed (ie to establish if my wifi dropped and 3G kicked in without my knowledge) and have been advised that there aren't any connection drops at that time.

Hello !
Try the following:
Simply delete all the Messenger apps (Yahoo, MSN or Live) which you might have upgraded recently / delete apps which were recently installed before the error which actually started occuring .
After that unplug the battery while the phone is still "on" and restart the phone.
In fact I had deleted a whole bunch of apps to facilitate my OS upgrade as I did not have enough memory on my Device.
This not only helped solve my above mentioned problem but also made my phone restart in less than 3 minutes (the earlier reboot was done in not less than 15 minutes !!).
Therefore my conclusion as from the above incidents is to keep your apps in the bare minimum so that your phone performs to the best.

Adding new contact or edit existing contact appears in the top of contact list

When i add a new contact, or when i edit an existing contact. It appears in the top of the contact list. Knowing tha the contact name does not start with letter A, and it appears above contacts with letter A. Please i need belp fixing this problem. It really annoys.

ckuan, thanks but i solved the problem by exporting vcf files and re-importing it back on iCloud, its ok i found duplicate names in iCloud, but on my phone it works as it should.

I cannot add any bookmarks to my existing ones with the new 30.0 firefox.

I updated to firefox 30.0. Now, I can't create any new bookmarks. I've clicked on the little star icon and it bops over to the clipboard icon. However, when I check for unsorted bookmarks it does not appear. I have checked in the bookmarks button at the top of the page and it shows up nowhere. I've never had a problem with bookmarks before and have sorted them into many folders. I have tried several things, and no matter what I have done I cannot create a new bookmark. I reset firefox to default, but this still did not fix my bookmark problem. I tried erasing a few bookmarks to make room, but that didn't help. I tried dragging the address straight into my folders. This used to work on the old version. Now, no matter what I do I cannot create a new bookmark. This is very frustrating. I wish I hadn't updated. My MacBook Air is less than a year old and uses OS X.

Cannot add new items to a value list in AW database

I have a database which I have been using for many years. One of the fields is a value list. I just went to add another item to the list, and no matter what I do, the Create button is grayed out. I have another value list in the same database that works fine.
There are currently 170 items in the value list that is causin the problem, but I didn't think that there was a limit to the number of items that can be is a value list. (At least there is nothing in the AW technical specifications to indicate thin. I duplicated the existing database, deleted about 20 items from the list, then saved the file, and reopened it, and still cannot add new items to that value list. Does anyone know what might be causing the problem?

Here is a short script which may help.
Replace the pop-up item by a text one and edit the property myList in my script to fit your needs.
Select the field to fill and run the script.
Then choose an item in the displaid list. It will be pasted in the selected field.
This trick would give you to work with a "no limit" list of items.

Cannot Add New Form Fields

I'm troubleshooting a problem with an existing pdf document in our office. Though I install Acrobat I do not use it on a daily- hence my asking for assistance. The computer is an Optiplex 745 running WIN XP Pro SP 2 with all updates.
The doc is a 42 page human resources document that has both scanned and original (made in Word/Acrobat) pages. Though I can edit existing fields/boxes, I cannot add new ones. I can select "add fields", click and drag seeing the crosshairs and field/box area, but when I let go, nothing happens. No new field and no erorr messages.
I've checked the security- it's wide open (no security) and layers- it has none or only one. The user who reported the problem is using Acrobat 5.x, I've tested it in 5.x, and 9 (standard and pro) on my computer with no success. I've included screenshots of the doc info below in hopes that they might provide some clues as to the problem.

After discovering that the other primary user had a local copy of this form- I tried that in Acrobat 9 and it was editable. So it appears that it was the form itself.
I'm resaving the local document to the network drive (where the problem doc came from) and updating both primary users to Acrobat 9. One was using 5 the other 7. Hopefully that will prevent any further problems.

Setting up a new library from an existing one

Due to lack of Genius mixes I have decided to set up a new library from my existing one but what I wandered was is there anyway of retaining my ratings/play counts etc by copying the iTunes database file from my original library folder.
I have over 100gb of content in my library and don't really wish to have to go through the process of rating everything again as my 'main' library is over three years of tweaking,adding & modifying etc.
Upon setting up this new library (which is taking ages to load)I have the "Turn on Genius" option down the right hand side which I cannot get in my main library.
I have just purchased a 5th generation Nano but cannot access Genius on it as it says my iTunes library doesn't have Genius enabled but it is I just can't get any Genius mixes.

Try this.
Quit iTunes.
Drag the *iTunes library.itl* file and *iTunes library.xml* to the desktop. Do NOT delete either of them.
Launch iTunes.
Do NOT add anything.
Go to File -> Library -> Import playlist and select the iTunes library.xml file on the desktop.
See if the ratings and the Genius mixes appear.
If so, you are good to go and can delete the *iTunes library.itl* file and *iTunes library.xml* on the desktop.
If not, don't delete anything and post back.

The main point is that Aperture is used to make digital negatives as good as they can be (for the uses you define), but it does not ADD date to your digital negatives, nor does it produce NEW combination files. For those tasks you need a Graphics program.

What account were you using to sync your Calendar? Make sure that account is added to the device, and make sure that Calendars is turned on for that account.
Then, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and make sure that under the Calendar section that 'Sync' is set to 'All Events'.
Then go to the Calendar app, go to Calendars, and make sure that you have that account enabled.
Then, close out all the running apps on your device, and restart it.
Open up your Calendar app. Are your entries back?

Can't add new Contact

After I clean installed my Macbook last week with Maverick, I sync my old file with TIme Machine, and I had to reinstall the whole system due to a problem with permission in a system wide range ! After that, everything look clean, but I just realised, that I can't add any new contact, all my old contact still there, but there's nothing I can do to add new contact !

Cannot Add new line using BI IP query

Hi All,
We have created a planning application (BI IP Query) and used it in VC 7.1 model using BI Query Wizard service. Now we are able to customize existing rows ( existing rows are using flat file upload)... we can able to change the existing record values and save it.
But we are not able to add new line... its going to dump... We are able to add new line using WAD with same query but not in VC 7.1

Its working now... SAP has given the fix (patch) for this issue when we deployed it, everything is working fine... I think they will release this fix (patch)soon...
