Cannot add previously owned movies to ipod

i purchased an ipod, and wish to add movies i previously own to it...i clicked the movies icon under library, clicked "add file" selected the movie, and yet it wont add...it's not giving any kind of error code, nor is it adding...it adds a couple music videos, but will NOT add the files to the actual ipod...i purchased the 160 gig model to have ample space for videos AND music...but it refuses to add any of my videos...any suggestions??

Same problem here - is there any way you can manually manage podcasts on your ipod? I listen to a language-learning podcast and I only want the current lesson stored on my ipod, instead of the whole series, which i like to keep on my imac for reference. Anybody have a solution?

    How do I add my own cds to IPod Nano?

    You first add the songs from the CDs to your iTunes library.  Once they are in your iTunes library, the songs from the CDs are just like all of your other songs; you sync them to your nano using the same methods.
    That import process is called "ripping."  This article provides a good description of using iTunes to rip music CDs.

    Use iTunes. Import the video file as you would a music file, right click on it and click "Convert Selection for iPod".

  • Cannot Add Podcasts from iTunes to iPod Manually

    So, I have one of the latest version of iTunes (to my knowlede, I just do auto updates), an iPod nano (the rectangular one), and subscriptions to various podcasts.
    I have had this trouble in the past and I can't remember how I got around before (if I ever did consciously), but the problem has arised again. I cannot add podcasts to my iPod manually. I drag and drop, the little green circle with the plus sign shows, but nothing is added to the iPod. It is possible to manually add podcats once i haved it synced, but I don't want to sync because it stuffs up pattern (which isn't really a pattern at all, so I can't syn it to fit one).
    Future Thanx!

  • Finally got itunes to update to version 11.1.4.62, but cannot view previously downloaded movies.  Movies show up in video tab with an additional download folders but I'm unable to watch.  Have any suggestions?

    I finally had success downloading iTunes update version 11.1.4.62.  Some problems with music, songs are mixed into different albums, some didnot load. Major problem is that all of my previously downloaded movies are listed in the new iTunes, but I can not watch any, all I get is a black screen with the control panel in the lower middle as usual.  Is there anything I can do to recover and watch my movies or do I have to remove everything and start from scratch.

    Hello jaybearden,
    Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are not able to restore the iOS device since you get an error 9. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

  • Cannot Add Playlists or Movies to New Nano-iTunes "Creates" a New Device

    I just purchased a new Nano and I am trying to get it work with iTunes 7.4.1.2 properly. When I connected the Nano, it created a new playlist named after the name I gave the Nano. Everything that is added to this playlist syncs fine. However, when I try to add any other playlists through the Music tab for this device and then re-sync, I get two error messages - "The iPod cannot be synced. The required disc cannot be found" and "iTunes has detected an iPod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes. You may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod."
    When these error messages happen, I notice that there is a second Nano appearing under devices (I only own one). This second Nano only has a Summary tab but the serial number is the same as the primary Nano showing up under "Devices."
    I have tried everything I can think of. I disconnected and reconnected. I restarted iTunes. I rebooted the computer. I tried Restoring the iPod as suggested. Nothing works and I keep ending up at this same point.
    It will also not let me add any video content (Movies, TV) or podcasts, giving me the same error messages above. Photos does work when I set it up adding the folder I want when first connecting the Nano.
    Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am running the latest version (7.4.1.2) on a Sony Vaio running Windows XP.

    But will I lose all my contacts (the ones I've added recently) and apps.
    If I go back to an older ID, I might lose all my recent stuff with the new ID?

  • Preparing my own movies for Ipod touch

    I have a number of movies which are .mov files how can I prepare them to put on my touch library??
    Many thanks

    as stated in the ipod touch specifications, the ipod touch supports .mov files, so all you have to to is put them into your itunes library on your computer (file -> add file to library),
    then plug in your ipod, go to the movies tab, and ensure that you have it set to sync all (or something like that, i cant remember the exact wording),
    then sync your ipod

  • Cannot add songs to iTunes or iPod

    I have restarted my computer many times. Have checked to make sure that all software is up to date. Have gone through all of the "5 R's" except restoring my iPod b/c I do not want to erase the music from my iPod as I have it categorized for work.
    Does anyone have any advice on what to do so that I can add music to my iPod?

    Has nobody else encountered this problem?

  • Cannot "Add" or "See" movies in my Library

    Hi
    Hope someone can help, I am trying to add movies to my Library, I can see it "Processing Files" when I drag them in, but not showing up at all.
    Someone suggested I check under "Home Movies" but don't see an option for this or know how to find it? All I can see is the below, can anyone help please.
    Only happened when updated to 12.0.1
    Thanks

    I have the entire original Star Trek series on the computer, all tested, watched and working fine.  They are all MPEG-4 video files, and I can watch them on multiple computers and TVs when pulling directly from my network.  They are labeled "Star Trek Episode 15 Shore Leave" and so on.  Before I went out of town I loaded episodes 1-12 onto my iPad to watch while traveling.  Again, they played fine.  When I returned I had only watched the first three, so when I resynced my iPad I removed those three (episodes 1-3) and put on some other movies.  Tonight when I went to watch them on the Apple TV I find that those three specific episodes are missing from the Apple TV list, so the ST episodes start with #4.  Just kind of weird.  These episodes are all the same version, done at the same time, the same way, no differences between them, even in size.  Must can't figure out what is keeping them off of the list but it seems to be more than just coincidence that the three I notice missing are ones that I just removed from my iPad.
    Also as to the iOS version you are correct, my typo, should be 10.7.5.
    Thanks for the help and just to clarify I checked with one of my purchased movies as well as the manual ones and two do not show up, both again removed with the last sync.  But they are still in the library!  Can't figure it.

  • DI cannot add Previous Period Sales Order

    Hi all,
    Currently, I had a big problem. My client is running SAP B1 2004.2B PL 50 with DI API installed. They are running a very simple customize program to add Sales Order into SAP B1. The customize program simply read a text file (Tab delimiter) and in turn create a Sales Order. It was working fine when their SAP B1 2004.2B is in Patch Level 15. However, after the upgrade to Patch Level 50, the customize program prompt error while adding Sales Order. Error Message: "Date deviates from permissible range [ORDR.DocDate]"
    Anyone have any idea why this occurs? My client cannot downgrade back to lower patch as PL 50 solve the bug on Closing Production Order. Furthermore, it is a very simple coding, just that this PL 50 do not allow posting of eariler documents.
    Anyone can help?
    Below is the coding:
    Private Sub TESTING()
        Dim vcmp As SAPbobsCOM.Company
        Set vcmp = New SAPbobsCOM.Company
        Dim err As Long
        Dim errmsg As String
        With vcmp
            .CompanyDB = "TestingDB"
            .Server = "Server"
            .DbUserName = "sa"
            .DbPassword = "sa"
            .UserName = "manager"
            .Password = "manager"
            .LicenseServer = "Server"
            err = .Connect
            If err <> 0 Then
                Call .GetLastError(err, errmsg)
                MsgBox (errmsg)
            Else
                Dim oSO As SAPbobsCOM.Documents
                Set oSO = .GetBusinessObject(oOrders)
                oSO.CardCode = "CH0002"
                oSO.DocDate = "17/10/2006"
                oSO.DocDueDate = "17/10/2006"
                oSO.DocType = dDocument_Service
                oSO.Lines.AccountCode = "_SYS00000000377"
                oSO.Lines.Price = 100
                err = oSO.Add
                If err <> 0 Then
                    Call vcmp.GetLastError(err, errmsg)
                    MsgBox (errmsg)
                Else
                    MsgBox "Successful"
                    vcmp.Disconnect
                End If
            End If
        End With
    End Sub

    Hi there,
    Answer to your questions:
    1) The period I wanted to post to is set to current/default period.
    2) All the period is active and not locked.
    3) The document date entered is within the period I set to current/default period. (Meaning I want to post a Sales Order in period 2006/08 and the current period had set default to 2006/08, and the document date is in 01/08/2006 (dd/mm/yyyy), but the system date now is 06/11/2006.)
    Now my question is even though I did not set my posting period to the period that I want to post the Sales Order. As long as the period is active and is not locked, I should be able to use DI to post the Sales Order right? When my SAP B1 2004.2B is in PL 25, I can do it without any problem. After I upgraded to PL50 and even PL55, I cannot even post it.
    Lastly, when using DI I shouldn't be bothered about setting the posting period to the correct posting period as DI do not have this function and the customize program is not run within SAP B1.
    Anyone can help?

  • Cannot add, remove, or move contacts or groups at this time. Please try again later. After 30 minutes it works, why?

    We have a Lync 2013 Server with RCC (Cisco Call Manager). When the Lync-Client have a phone connection, everything works. But if the Lync Client has no phone connection (some special places/accounts) the contact list can not be edited during the first
    30 minutes. After 30 minutes, everything works, with no error, the contact list can be changed...
    In the Client log "Lync-UccApi-0.UccApilog" there are a lot of "SIP/2.0 401 Unauthorized" and some "SIP/2.0 409 Conflict". The Fault code in the 409 Conflict is "Client.BadCall.WrongDelta"
    Lync Client: 15.0.4641.1000
    Lync Server: 5.0.8308.556
    Deleting the Sip-Folder doesn't help, delete the sign-in information doesn't help, change the client doesn't help. We have configurerd Address Book Web Query, so no Adressbooksync/download will be made or could be the issue.
    So why the Clients waits 30 minutes before I can made changes on the contact list. Is there some timeout? I saw some information about resynchronization it would take 30 minutes, but not more information. And what exactly is the resynchronization?
    If you need more information or logfiles let me know.
    Thanks

    Hello! I have one iTunes library on my iPod and one iTunes library on my computer. When I connect my iPod touch to my PC, however, I cannot find any files in my iPod except for pictures. How can I find the music files so I can add them to my iTunes?

    You can't do that.
    And before you decide to store any music that you own on a computer at work, talk to your IT department. Many organizations do not permit it for legal reasons. Standard policies are that anything stored on company owned computers is the property of the company. It could not be legally stored on their machines unless you transfer the licenses and all copies, physical and digital, to the company, meaning you no longer own the music. If they were to be audited and could not prove that they own the music, they would be subject to copyright violation penalties. Just use your iPod when you're at the office if you want to listen to music.

    I am a first-time iPad owner/user. I bought a relative's original iPad. I want to leave the apps on it and add my own pdfs to read. My itunes account is really for my iPod. iTunes message says that if I "Sync" the iPad will be erase, and become like my iPods. If I make a new iTunes account, would the apps be erased when I tried to use it?
    How can I just get my files onto this iPad, and still have the apps that my relative left there for me?
    Thank you.

    iPads sync to 1 computer only.
    All media and apps are tied to the Apple ID that purchased them.
    Without your relatives ID and password, you cannot update any of the Apps.
    I am pretty certain he is also violating Apples terms of service by giving you the apps.

  • Cannot add apps to iTunes Wish List for my ipod

    When using iTunes on my Macbook, I cannot add apps (for ipod, ipad, etc. NOT for computer) to my Wish List.  When I try, a pop up error alert box says that "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed., to try again later."  The odd thing is that I can add music albums to my Wish List.  I am not trying to add previously bought apps, but new ones that I find that I might want later.  I used to be able to do this, but not as of recently.  I even updated my Itunes to see if that would help.  No effect.  Is it my wifi network,?  Any ideas of how to remedy this?

    thanks.  I opened iTunes this morning and miraculously my wish list seems to be working.   i see one app i had added to be downloaded.  I am able to remove songs from wish list and add songs and preview all.
    last i heard from the customer service person was that they referred the issue to a senior level support person.  this after i sent them several screen shots of my wish list and the error about unable to add to existing wish list because ittem was already there.
    I have not heard from them that my issue is resolved.  I will give them a day or so to get back to me to confirm they fixed the problelm.
    very strange.  at least they acknowledged the problem did indeed exist as they referred me to the online user forum for possible solutions.  I indicated the problem persisted as early as June 2010 and as late as Jan 2012. and I had upgraded to ver 10.5.3 as well as remove and re-install even AFTER they kept telling me they removed my wishlist.
