"Cannot apply the new theme"?

I have now seen a few threads related to my problem regarding themes. But none of those correct answers helped me with my problem.
I have the captivate 8 trial installed. My employer sent me a theme that the entire team uses in few different versions of captivate, including a successful theme import in captivate 8. I receive "cannot apply new theme".
None of the other threads have helped, and they were not were not captivate 8.
I simply start a new blank project, go to themes / browse, find the theme file (*.cptm). I receive the typical alert about all object styles will be over-written. When I click yes to proceed I get "cannot apply the new theme"
I am looking for any help.

This could be because of corrupt preferences.
We could try to recreate the preferences, however it will delete your customizations in the workspace. But we will not completely delete the preferences folder so we can get it back.
In order to recreate the preferences, please do the following.
Save your Project.
Close Captivate
Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData (hidden folder)\Local\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 8 folder
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 8 folder
Mac: /Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Captivate 8 folder
Rename the Captivate 8 folder to anything.
Launch Captivate and test your project.

Hi all,
I'm trying to apply a new theme on a Captivate 7 project and keep getting the error message "Cannot apply the new theme". Any suggestions as to how to fix this? It's driving me insane and I really don't want to start my project from scratch.

When you reinstalled, did you first delete the Public Layouts folder, not the one in the installation folder of CP? Which OS do you use, I'm on Win7, and this is the path to that folder:
You can still delete it now, when you restart Captivate it will be refreshed, recreated. Same question about Preferences....

Can't apply a new theme to Captivate 7 projects

Anyone else experiencing a problem applying a new theme in Captivate 7.0.0.118 on Windows and.or Mac?
Whenever I try to apply a new, or built-in theme I get a popup stating "Cannot apply the new theme".
I haven't had the need to do this recently, but now that I do, it doesn't work in either of my development environments of several projects.
Can anyone offer a solution, or is something recently broken in Cap7?

That didn't help. But let me tell you a bit more about the scenario, symptoms, what I found and how I resolved it.
Scenario and Synptoms:
After creating some new styles affecting nearly every object in the Object Style Manager, I created a new theme and added it to my themes panel. The new theme saved successfully, with not indication of errror. I then relauched C7 and opened an existing project. When I tried to apply a standard theme, it appeared to be working until the end, when it popped a window stateing the new theme could not be added (no indication as to why). When I tried to apply my new custom them C7 crashed immediatly, with no error message at all and not even a message when I relaunched C7 that there had been a problem during the previous runtime.
I followed your directions on Win7 and the problem did not change.
Findings and Resolution:
Suspecting a corrupt or bad theme, I renamed it and relaunched C7. This time when I tried to change to a standard theme, everything worked as expected.
I then created another custom theme like my original (before the extensive style changes) and everything still works as expected.
If I try to apply the suspected theme now, it appears to work the first time, but if I try and changeit the problems start over again as I described above.
Summary:
I suspect the custom theme was somehow corrupted. If Adobe is interested in testing further, perhaps I can send you the corrupted theme. For now, I have a reasonable work-around.

I cannot uninstall itunes version 10.7.0.21 from my laptop use of that I also cannot install the new update.

I cannot uninstall iTunes version 10.7.0.21 from my laptop (windows 7), therefore I cannot install the new iTunes version....!
Every time I try to do it, a "message" from the windows installer pops up saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable", I try to find the installation package "iTunes.msi" but I can never find it either...!
The funny part is, I can still use this version, but I would like the have the update, which can make my computer much faster than now!
Can someone help me out??

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

While ios 6 is compatable with the iPhone 4, many of its features are not available for the 4. The features need the 4s or 5. See here:

My MacBook Pro 2.33GHz cannot see the New Airport Extreme

Just bought the new Airport Extreme(Wireless N). Power it up, cannot see the new wireless network under the Airport signal icon. The Machine have no problem using my older Netgear wireless router(G) and the new Linksys Wire router(N). Just connot see the new Apple Airport Extreme.
My the other two iMac(G5 and Intel) 20" can see all three wireless network and connet to them without any problem.
My only question is has Apple implement any "regional code" on the hardware. My MacBook Pro is from US and the new Airport Extreme was bought in New Zealand.
Any suggestion? BTW a clean install of the System didn't help. Found out after 2-3 hours of installation of System and all my Application back.

To use the Airport Utility you must select your network under that Airport icon but you can't. So what to try? Of course you may need to reset your router. If still not visually seen under Airport then go to system preferences/network/status and choose Airport. Look for the preferred drop down menu. If network is seeen then select it and hit apply. Then select under Airport icon then use the Airport Utility. If not seen in preferred then type in your network exact name or use the + button. The above will work you just need to keep trying.

Fellow user Grant Bennet-Alder offers this solution:
Some users have reported this problem if the Mail Application has been moved out of the top-level /Applications folder, or duplicated in another location.
When the Security Update is done, the old version of Mail is disabled.
The solution has been to:
1) make certain Mail is in the /Applications folder
2) There is no other copy anywhere else.
3) Once steps 1 and 2 have been done, Manually download and re-apply the Security Update (2012-004) by hand.

If the Mail.app has been LOST, it can be re-installed by applying the 10.6.8 version 1.1 combo update. But this update is quite large and it is usually not necessary:

Your add-ons list shows AVG, ZoneAlarm, and McAfee products. Could one of them be blocking this site? See whether you can add exceptions or just disable them temporarily and test whether that helps.

And then it does nothing, but freezes up. I swipe away the page to try again with the same results over and over.
Solutions I have tried:
I also have connected to iTunes, to download the new software, and no luck!
A system reboot by powering the phone off does not work. There is plenty of free space on his phone.
On the other hand, My Iphone 4S updated no problem doing exactly what it is suppose to do with updates.

Try resetting the device: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Slide to Unlock screen redisplays, hook the device up to iTunes, make sure that your husband's Apple/iTunes/iCloud ID is signed on to iTunes, then try the update again.

Cannot find the new binding

I am using jdeveloper 11.1.1.5!!
I had dragged and dropped mu OpcLoseId [an LOV] from my OpportHd table in a af:form.
I had passed this value as a parameter to my AMImpl Method. So that while my user clicks the button this method get executed.
My Scenario:
While my user clicks the button i am getting an error in my Log as given below

I just encountered this, and what I think is happening here is that the list binding is not able to resolve the user's choice to a valid value in the LOV.
I see this when using an [af:inputListOfValues|http://http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16764_01/apirefs.1111/e12419/tagdoc/af_inputListOfValues.html] and the user types in something that is not available through the list data source.
I know this thread is old, but shows up in google when searched for this error message and I thought I'd update it with what I thought.

Export/Import the new Theme from Apex 2.2

Ok, I am so very sold the new theme 15 in Apex 2.2 after 1 day playing. I really want to use it in the new app I am going to build very soon. Export/Import does not work at all because all the images whatsoever are NOT there. May somebody let me know how to do this? or can we do it?

I'll see what I can do about providing a zip of the images directory for the new themes, it's not my call though. You can at the moment use Firefox and save the page (which also saves supporting files) and that will get you most of the images.
You would then have to go through the css and make sure to grab all the background images in that file. On or two page grabs of different page types should give you most the images.
