  • Cannot establish Bluetooth connection between iphone4 and ipad2

I have an iphone4 which cannot connect via Bluetoooth with ipad2, even though I tried all that is said in Apple support , but still no success. Really cannot understand as my iphone4 connects to a Bluetooth ear piece which is of different make and these 2 piece's are from Apple but cannot establish a connection via Bluetooth. It's surprising. So please help and advice.
    thanks Guys

The iPhone is not designed to Bluetooth pair with a computer or an iPad except for personal hotspot (sharing the phone's cellular internet connection). It can use Bluetooth for Handoff/Continuity and for Keynote Remote but the devices are not paired. More information:  Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with my computer?

  • Cannot unpair Bluetooth connection

    Hello,
I have a VW Golf with Bluetooth connectivity. I've used it without issues for a couple of months already with my Droid Charge, until yesterday. I was on a call and pressed the home button on the phone when the call dropped and Bluetooth stopped working correctly. My car claimed that it could see my phone, but that a "connection is not possible" with it. I tried resetting my phone and turning Bluetooth on and off to no avail. I attempted to unpair my phone from my car to see if resetting the link would help, but I found that I cannot unpair my Charge from "VW Phone." Every time I long press "VW Phone" to unpair the connection, nothing happens, and the phone remains "paired." How can I unpair my phone? Or better yet, how can I get Bluetooth working again with my car?
    Thanks!

    Hi Petrivka,
I use a Bluetooth device constantly and I can relate to your need for your Bluetooth devices to pair and work as expected all the time. First let me address your concerns about how to unpair your devices. To unpair your devices simply turn Bluetooth off; from the home screen, sweep your finger downward to display the notification panel then touch Bluetooth to turn feature off. More on Bluetooth pairing/unparing can be found on page 80 of your User Guide.
As for the proper pairing and connectivity with your VW Golf, please check first for full compatibility of your car with your mobile phone at this LINK. Keep in mind that while most Bluetooth devices will have some level of connectivity due to the Bluetooth technology they share, only devices confirmed as fully compatible by your car manufacturer will perform correctly with your car.
If you prefer, please post your car model details and I will check for full compatibility for you.

The headset may be switched on but is it in pairing mode? If not, the phone will not see it and you won't be able to pair the two together.

  • No bluetooth connection on MacBook Pro with JBL Flip speaker.

Cannot get bluetooth connection on my MacBook Pro with new JBL Flip speaker.  It is pairing, but not connecting.  Have set it up, but still doesn't work.  JBL says problem is with computer.  Any suggestions?

Hi Carolyn - Thank you for responding, I appreciate the help!
We have a tower, and I don't see an on/off button.  Should I just unhook the power cord from the tower?  We also have the phone line hooked to the tower, should I unhook as well?  I'm assuming the PC is off before I do this?
Then, turn the computer back on?
    Thank you!

  • E71 windows 7 bluetooth "Cannot authenticate the p...

I am using 7.1.51.0 Nokia PC Suite on Windows 7. I have Nokia e71-2. I have latest software on device (410.21.010) using Nokia ovi Suite (2.2.0.245).
Under Device manager->Bluetooth Radios, I have following Drivers versions installed:
Micorsoft Bluetooth Enumerator from Microsoft: 6.1.7600.16385
HP Integerated module with Bluetooth Wireless 2.1Technology from Broadcom: 6.2.0.9000
Using PC Suite when I try to connect to bluetooth, it supplies the pairing code. I hit OK and then enter the pairing code on e71. The pairing seems successsful and I can see my "tjsingh-mobl" laptop on e71 under Menu->Connectivity->Bluetooth->"Paired Devices". I set it as authorized device. However after some time PC Suite tells me that "Cannot authenticate the phone".
I have searched the forum and have failed to find any solution.
I tried the following also but didn't help. There is no "Service Controllers" app on my e71.
Menu > Applications > App. mgr. > Installed apps. > uninstall 'Service Controllers' and 'Contacts Groups DS Plugin' applications.

    Can anyone help?

I had this problem too, but the phone got recognized at last after the  latest OVI Suite upgrade. Somehow it must have installed some  drivers which allowed win7 to recognize and autenticate the phone

I too had this problem. I could connect, but the final authentication failed. I was able to send files using the bluetooth manager (Toshiba).
    This was my solution:
Go to the phone's bluetooth pairing (after you've tried to authenticate). See if your computer's name is there (mine was). Select it, then options and finally 'set as authorized'. And it should work.
There's one strange thing: in the about section there's no mention of the Toshiba BT stack, while in 'Get connected' I get both Toshiba and Microsoft BT stack. I'm not sure which one is being used, but hey: it works!

  • I cannot get my iPhone 5S to make a Bluetooth connection with my iMac. I get the Message that the iMac is not supported. Huh?

I cannot seem to get my iPhone 5S to make a bluetooth connection with my iMac (OSX 10.9.1). Phone claims that the iMac is not supported. Any suggestions?

The only connection supported to your iMac is Personal Hotspot to use the iPhone's cell connection to connect your iMac to the Internet. If that's what you're trying to do, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2756
Otherwise, as Raymond said, connecting your Mac and iPhone via Bluetooth is not supported.
    Regards.

  • I have a 2011 iMac 27" i7 and the bluetooth connected trackpad, keyboard, and mouse all go haywire after awhile. This just began today and cannot make the issue go away. Nothing was downloaded, no software updates, etc. please help!

Oops, sorry, using my iPad for this. My iMac's Bluetooth-connected devices are going haywire after awhile of use. All three things--the trackpad, keyboard, and mouse--act up, especially the trackpad, by being overly sensitive and often just clicking and moving on its own. I've restarted the computer, I've swabbed batteries out of the devices, and nothing has worked so far in solving this issue. I downloaded Lion when it came out and had the update last week (I think), but today is the first day to experience this issue and nothing was downloaded today. I've been sending out a flurry of emails, but nothing else to hint at why this problem happened. Any ideas??

Humm, thank you. I have my iPhone and iPad on the wireless network, and yeah--using the rechargable batteries. I'll try normal batteries and re-join the phone and get back to you. May take a day or so because the semester starts today. Thank you again.
