Cannot back up my phone

I am unable tp back up by phone now 17 weeks.

How are you trying to back it up.. Apple designed the iphone to automatically backup to itunes when you plug the phone via the usb cable into a computer running itunes. Have you done that?
Or to icloud??

When I connect my phone to my comp it tells me that there's an update to iOS 4.3.3, when I try to actually do the update it goes so far and says that it cannot back up my phone because it's disconnected, when nothing's been touched to dc it.

I've been trying to update my phone to iOS 4.3.3 like it tells me to when I connect my phone to my computer, and it goes so far, then I get an error box (no error number) with a message telling me that my phone can't be backed up because it's disconnected. Now I know I've touched nothing to disconnect it, everything else is working fine, I just CANNOT get my phone to back up. I called Apple and my phone support expired 10 days ago (go figure!!) Anyone else run into this and find a way to get it to work? He got me to delete the backup that was on my system to see if that helped...nothing.

What is your current computer and OS? It looks as though your iphone is not compatible with your computer.

I cannot back up my phone or my iPad because I don't have enough storage on the cloud (although I did buy extra storage). I was synching my photos on my devices and my Mad but I took this function off and I still have no storage.

I reckon that my iCloud is full with my photos but I can not find the way to delete photos or videos from I cloud

Photo stream photos don't use any of your iCloud storage so deleting them won't make any difference. Only camera roll photos use your photos, and only if you are backing up to iCloud, as they are included in the backup.

ITunes says it cannot back up my phone to my computer

because there is not enough free space. My HD says it has 209GB Free Space. Whassup with that?

Try 1 step at a time and do a backup, if no joy then do the next step:
1. Switching off your anti-virus and firewall.
2. Computer iTunes menu > Edit > Preferences... > Devices > delete your backup

No there isn't. If you check iCloud, you are not showing any backups at all? Did you have the phone set to sync contacts in iCloud, or were you just backing up to iCloud? If you were just backing up, then you should be able to access the backup, but if you were not syncing, then you probably cannot see the contacts in iCloud. You would have to wait until you restore from the backup to see them. You will probably have to go onto the iCloud website to erase and remove the device from Find My iPhone if you want to clear it off.

First, press and hold the home and power buttons until the Apple icon appears.
The problem could be that you don't have enough storage on the device itself, not on iCloud. Go to Settings>General>Usage to see how much "Storage" you have available on the device. Farther down the list is the available storage on iCloud.
Also check:
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage; there, tap the device you need info on and the resulting screen lists Backup Options with which apps store data on iCloud as well. Tap Show All Apps to get the complete list of apps and MB used for backup storage.
A device needs many MB of storage in order to perform a backup to iCloud.

You haven't mentioned any steps you might have tried to correct this so I'll suggest you try the first troubleshooting step. Reset your iPhone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the buttons and let the device restart. No data will be lost doing this. It's like rebooting a computer.

HT2623 I have upgraded my Iphone operating system using IO6. Before doing this operation I have backed up the phone and I cannot restore my phone from the backup since it simply does not accept my password.

I have upgraded my iPhone using IO6. Before doing this operation the advises to me is to back up the phone, which I did using iCloud.
When I tried to restore the back it does not access my password which I have given to restore my password.

if you cant remember the password of your back-up encryption, you can't back it up
You will have to restore as a new phone

Not really necessary to go into DFU mode when the device is just reporting it is in recovery mode if it is saying connect to iTunes. Connect to iTunes and do a restore. See this support document if you have any issues. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
