Cannot burn system image to Blu ray disks via LGwh16ns40

First thing it will not write to disk, unless i format the disk. Once formatted the Image program writes to the disk. But issue is when it finishes the first disk (it told me to label it disk 1), it ask for another disk, but writes the same info and asks
to label it again (disk 1).  I have an LG WH16NS40 manufatured June 2014. can someone tell me if im doing something wrong?!!

Hi acura1073,
We indeed need more information about your problem so that we can help.
What’s about the “Image program”?
If you have any screenshots, this would be better to understand your situation.

  • CS5 Encore won't burn m4v on Verbatim Blu-Ray disk?

I have CS5 and Pioneer BD-RW BDR-206 (Firmware 1.04) burner drives and made my first Blu-Ray program in Premiere CS5 and exported it as Blu-Ray format (m4v), but when trying to burn it on my system, Encore CS5 doesn't recognize the blank disk (Verbatim HardCoat BD-R 25GB, 6x) and keeps asking for a disk.
I put in a regular DVD and it recorded to it without problems...but it wasn't Blu-Ray.
What's going on?  I must be making a 'simple' mistake somewhere.  Thanks for your help.

Hmm... I don't know if it is possible for other software to allow Encore to "see" a drive as DVD but not BluRay, but some reading that may lead to a cure
As well as the below, right click the Encore icon and select Run as Administrator, which is NOT the same thing as running the computer with the Administrator account, and which fixes several "odd" problems... To create a dual layer DVD (or a BluRay?), you MUST have Encore set to use the Run as Administrator option

  • Won't Burn Blu-Ray Disks

My brand new HP 16X SATA Blu-ray Writer (AR482AA) in my brand new z800 quit writing to Blu-Ray disks after just 12 disks. It did continue to write to other DVD/CD media, just not Blu-Ray. There is no support information to be found -- anywhere!!! (HP, are you listening?) So I was forced to fix it myself.
Tried different BR disks, uninstalling Roxio Business 10 and reinstalling, searched for system driver and firmware updates as well as non-existent information from all avenues I could think of. Sought out anomalies in the registry and looked for A/V, OS, and other updates corresponding with the timing of the failed burns.
The only thing I found was a Windows Defender update that loaded just a couple of minutes before the BR burning failed. That may or may not have contributed to the failure. No way to tell as unfortunately, the update "cannot be uninstalled." Couldn't find any corresponding information at Microsoft as well (Microsoft, are you listening?)
However, I was able get the Blu-Ray burning again, just not sure if it is realy fixed or if it will reoccur. The solution was to go into the device manager and uninstall the Blu-Ray drive (but leave the Roxio installed). Then, simply restarted and let the system find and install the BR drive again. Everything works great...for now....from a 5 minute fix.
Sure would like to have that day of my life back!!!
    Note -- OS = 64-bit Ent. Vista

I am also having problems with my new Hp pavilion dv6. It will burn the disks but at poor quality. I can't get my samsung blu ray player to play it at all. The video plays back on my Hp dv6 but is broken up. Is this the problems you were having? I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if its Hp's problem. I have taken video with my Sony HD camcorder and am trying to burn the movies onto blu rays. I have been using Verbatim BD-R 25GB 6X Blu rays. Any help would be great!

  • Device error when burning Blu Ray disk at 96%

Very simple program to use so far. Just drag and drop.
My current project was shot in HD 1080p about 2 hours or 13 gig long and I made 4 lower resolution DVD's no problem.  I like how it shrunk it with out me having to do anything other than check the box (use space available)
However when I went to make Blu Rays in addition to taking about 18 hours its gets right to the end and spits the disk out unfinished and has device error at about 96% of burning finished. Disk will not play.
I have ruined 3 blank  4x blu ray disks so far, same result.  I have down loaded and installed the 8.01 update, I will turn off the screen saver and anything else I can find, before I try it again.
Its a new computer with only PE8 running on it.  Quad core Gateway with 8 gig ram and a almost empty 1tb hard drive and LG blue ray writer.
I have not tried to burn anything else with the blu ray writer, as thats what PE8 was for.
I did not have the timeline fully rendered before I started, if that makes any difference.
    Anybody have any ideas.
    Thanks in advance.
    Philip

Sorry I'm a newby. I'll put this is PRE 8 where it belongs.

  • Burning Blu-ray disks.  Third party hardware needed?

I have read from earlier posts that it is not possible to burn Blu-ray© disks from DVDSP. Can third party hardware be purchased to burn such a disk having assembled the digital assets in DVDSP? Any recommendations?
    Thanks in advance.
    G5 Quad Desktop   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Thanks for your responses. I see that from DVD SP Late-Breaking news that'HD DVD projects authored by DVD SP 4.0.3 fully comply with the 1.0 version of he HD DVD specification...the new HD DVD standard. The disks will play on Apple DVD Player version 4.6.5 or later.
I haven't commited to the Blu-ray© player, just the Sony HD camcorder.
When the time comes, I will burn to a red laser disc per the Apple recommendation. And thanks for the Roxio link which makes it clear that a PC is needed for Blu-ray©

  • How to burn Blu-ray disk from Encore?

My project was shot and edited in HD. The camera was a Sony AX2000 1920 X 1080 60i the highest resolution for the camera. The project has been exported to Encore (CS5.5 Production Premium)and is on the timeline there. How do I get in touch with "Chat" to get phone help to go from where I am to burning a Blu-ray disk? When I try to email Adobe Help I am routed round and round back to same place and I can never find anyplace to send an email to Adobe to ask a support question. When I click on "Help" from Premiere Pro or Encore the explanations use frequent links to videos elsewhere for explanations and none of the links are functional! Why is that? I can't find an explanation online or in Adobe's Classroom in a book or anywhere. I would appreciate some links to videos explaining the process or some basic instructions. Thank you.

Encore also has a very active forum too: http://forums.adobe.com/community/encore/encore_general
    Good luck,

  • HT203477 After i burn my project onto a blue ray disk and play it some scenes have bright silver lines flickering around the edges of some items on screen

After I burn my project from from FCPX onto a blue ray disk, in some scenes ther appears a flickering silver line or edge to some items such as aroiund faces or buildings etc

Precise information on your  workflow together with a possible "photograph" of the problem  would help with diagnosis.

  • Burn Blu-ray disk?

Can I burn a Blu-ray disk on my Apple desktop without buying a special burner? I can burn regular DVDs, and view them on my laptop but not my Blu-ray player.  I only want a couple DVDs from our son's wedding.

    No.
You can only burn standard DVD's and  they should play on a BluRay device.
You must be burning a "data" DVD as they will only play on a computer. Use iDVD to create a DVD.

  • Burning speed for Blue Ray Disks (Elements 11)

    Hi,
is it possible to reduce the burning speed for Blue Ray Disks ? (and how)
I believe that Elements 11 always use the maximal possible buring speed of the inserted medium.
Background: my BD player (Bang & Olufson TV with integrated BD player) is able to read/play a maxell BD-RE 25GB (1-2x) i burned. Unfortunately I can not play a burned Verbatim BD-R 25GB (6x) - only sometimes he play parts of it. Both mediums i burned with the same content, from the same file ( xxx.prel) and with the same parameters.
Thanks for informations and your answer.
    Wolfgang

This is not a feature of Premiere Elements.
To get this feature, you'll need to use a third-party program, like the excellent DVD Architect Studio, a $39 download from Sony Creative Software.

  • Burning Blue Ray Disks!

ok so im proberbly going to look like a total retard but i recently got an application called Toast and it said tha ti can burn blue ray disks! i personally disagree as i dont have a blue ray burner! im correct in thinking this right?
    i have a 20inch iMac 2.0Ghz
please dont mock me heheheh xD

In other words are you saying that the OS must be able to support Blue Ray in order to read the media reliably. Reason I chimed in is I have a Lacie D2 blue ray drive and it burns blue ray discs (single and dual layer) fine, but now some of the discs won't read. Some of them will read when inserted but most of the dual layer discs/some single layer discs aren't recognized. I'm using the discs for archiving. Let me know your thoughts...thanks!

  • Burning blu-ray disks with Archgon

I have a HD camcorder and create home movies of my daugher with FCP X. I have an iMac (late 2012 model I think).  I recently purchased the Sea Tech Archgon blu-ray writer super drive with the intent of buring blu-ray disks for the grandparents.  The instruction manual for the blu-ray player states "Please purchase and download appropriate blu-ray playback software for Mac OS".  My questions are:
    1) When I plug in the drive, no icon appears on the desktop.  There is power to the unit because it allows me to open and put a disk in.
    2) Do I need to purchase Mac Blu-Ray player just for the iMac to see the drive before I can burn any blu-ray disks?
    3) I don't intend to use the drive to watch any blu-ray movies.  This is strictly for making blu-ray disks that can be popped into a regular blu-ray player so the grandparents and other relatives can enjoy the home movies.
    4) Is FCP X an appropriate software, which I already have on my computer?  It allows me to create DVD directly from FCP X, but when I tried to do it from FCP X, this drive does not come up as an option.
    5) I also have Titanium Toast and purchased the blu-ray upgrade.  Then I save the file from FCP as a master on the computer and attempted to burn the blu-ray using Toast.  Again, this drive does not come up as an option.

    1. Any external burner will only become recognized once you insert media. If you plug it into the Mac and launch Toast, it should show at the bottom of the Toast window. You can choose it and control the drive with Toast - open tray, close tray, insert DVD, etc.
    2. No.
    4. Not sure re. blu-ray, but try to export it as a .mov or Video_TS folder, then drag either into the Toast window. That is how I proceed using iMovie and/or iDVD. (I only use FCE for special effects/layered intros, etc., export at best quality settings, then use those with iMovie and/or iDVD). You do need software (Toast is best because of the blu-ray plugin) to burn to DVD.
    5. Again, the drive should show up at the bottom - see screenshot (mine is only showing my internal Superdrive; once I attach my external burner, both will show up):

  • Problem burning H.264 to Blu-ray in PSE 7

I have a Dell XPS 435T with an i7 950 (3.07 GHz) and 9 GB RAM running 64 bit Vista. I bought this system specifically configured to edit native AVCHD videos from my camcorder and burn Blu-ray disks. When I first purchased this system (about 10 months ago) I could (and did) do all of this.
I took about 30 minutes of video and made a "practice" video and burned it to a BD-RE disk. The Blu-ray disk is labeled as HL-DT-ST-BD-RE BH20N. I found PSE 7 to be quite buggy with frequent crashes but chalked that up to a 32 bit app running on a new 64 bit operating system (Vista).
I haven't used the video editing capabilities for about 4 months. Last week I tried to utilize PSE 7 again and immediately was prompted to update - and did. I was hoping the new update would fix some of the crashes I experienced before. Now I can't burn to Blu-ray using the H.264 compression. It gets just about all the way through (95%?) and then I get an "Fatal Error" message. If I press cancel it tells me I have a burn in progress... but it appears to have stopped. I did manage to find out that MPEG-2 compression to Blu-ray does work. Even though this is a "work around", I would like to be able to use the H.264 compression in the future.
Does anyone have any ideas or fixes for this issue?

    Thanks for the reply Steve.
I think I mislabeled the adobe application in my original post. The application is Premiere Elements 7 (the video editing software - not the photo editing software). I could have sworn I was prompted for an update as soon as I launched this app. Is your comment "there was no update to version 7" pertaining to both the video and photo editing applications?
The video source is a canon HG20 camcorder producing AVCHD (*.mts) files. The video project that did work approx. 6 months ago was created using these video clips. I did not edit this saved project... I simply tried to re-burn to Blu-ray disc using the H.264 format when the error occured.  Again, this did work before.
Vista is fully up-to-date, as is my Blu-ray driver. I checked those yesterday. But I'm inclined to believe the encoding is not finishing and producing the "Fatal Error" message (as opposed to the burn failing). If the progress bar is to be believed, encoding stopped at 95 to 97 percent. After realizing the older project didn't work, I created a new project with different video clips (from same camcorder) but got identical error at same step in the burning. It was at this point that I tried the MPEG-2 encoding that did work.

  • Sony Optiarc BD Rom BC-5500S is not reading blu ray disks

I have a pavilion dv7-1070ev and upgrade from windows vista home premium 32bit  to Windows 7  home premium 64bit.The laptop came with the optical drive Sony Optiarc BD Rom BC-5500S with Firmware version 1.83.The problem is that the bd-rom is not reading blu ray disks. When i put in CD's/DVD's everything is fine -> drive starts to spin up and a little later the disc is readable/available in windows. When i put in a BluRay disc -> drive just makes a very short silent spin effort (to identify disc?),and no disc is available in windows. When i double click my drive icon (in my computer) it pops up a window asking me to insert a disc.Note that it is the first time I put blu-ray disk to watch blu-ray movie.I have never used the bd-rom when the laptop had windows vista.
The drive is compatible with windows 7 b4bit

Searched in forums I found these solutions :
    A clean registry
    1. To begin the process, start the Registry Editor.
Click START,click RUN, type REGEDIT, and then click OK.
Click the plus(+) next to the following folders in the left side of the window pane:
        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
        SYSTEM
        CurrentControlSet
        Control
        Class
        (4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318)
      2. Look for any of the following names in the right side of the window pane:
        UpperFilters
        LowerFilters
    3. If any of the items above are listed, right click on the item and select DELETE.
    4. Be sure to restart your computer after you have deleted the files in the registry.
    B.new firmware
1.Download the latest version for the retail version of this drive from sony at:
     http://www.sony-optiarc.eu/uploads/media/WinDL_BC5500S_V106_02.zip
Sony says that you can only update from Firmware versions 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, 1,04 and 1.05. Previous firmware version(s) other than mentioned here are probably OEMs and therefore cannot be updated with this file.  Contact  your PC manufacturer (FTS, DELL, HP....) if you require firmware updates for these drives.
I have HP version 1.83 dated December 2007 so I cannot update.
    C.Uninstall/install bd-rom
Uninstall bd-rom from device manager ,restart the pc and then looking for drivers.
    searching not found something.
My driver is up to date (21/06/2006) and the driver is 6.1.7601.17514
    D.Clean the laser lens
I put a cd cleaner to clean the lens, but that didnt help
I have used the solutions but the problem is not solved.
    Can anyone help ;

QuickPlay is made by Cyberlink who also makes Power DVD 10, 11 and 12 products.
You have to uninstall QuickPlay and all Power DVD products (don't use QuickPlay anymore, it's outdated and it will not be updated as it's been long discontinued). There is also a Power DVD folder(s) that needs to be deleted as well.
After you have uninstalled everything, run CCleaner as many times as necessary and delete what it finds in its registry cleaner.
     http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
Here is also a link for Power DVD11 cleaner as well, use this after CCleaner.
http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/16915.page (restart after all of this)
Are you running the trial of DVD or have you paid for it ? If you want to purchase some Blu-ray software then stay away from Cyberlink, I use Total MediaTheatre 5 and it's much better.
Also available for free is Power DVD 10 for HP owners, when installed correctly, it's OK, but it's not with out its problems.
If you want to install Power DVD10, then post again.
The other thing that worries me is your Sony drive, I have had many people here that I can't get the Sony drive to read Blu-ray's. I don't know if its firmware is out of date (there is no firmware update) or if the new updated Blu-ray players have become incompatible.
You may be forced to buy a Pioneer or HP Blu-ray reader.

  • Exporting to a Blu Ray Disk

Currently, i make movies from a combination of HD video & digital photographs.  I compose the project, add special effects & music - then share to Apple Prores 422.  I then burn the DVD using an external DVD drive & third party software to play on our DVD player.
I am thinking about buying an external BluRay drive & burning the projects to a Blu Ray disk since most folks I share this finished movie with now have Blu Ray players.  These videos can be anywhere from 30 mins to 1 hr.
I have searched which is the best drive & have come across a  Samsung SE-506BB/TSBD.  I have found Blu Ray blank disks that seem to be decent.
But where my searching isn't clear on - is the best way to save the project & which is the most efficient & easy to use software to burn a successful Blu Ray disk.
    Any suggestions?
I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1, Final Cut Pro X, Version 10.1.3
    Thank you in advance.

You can use FCP X and burn a Bluray directly from the FCP X Share menu.
Another method for repeated discs at a later stage is to create a Bluray Disc Image to a hard drive.
Toast 11 or later with the Bluray Plugin will also work using an FCP X Master File.
Once burnt, the discs will require dedicated Bluray software to play on your Mac.
