I've been trying to find an affordable way to buy Adobe Creative Cloud for some time. As I'm from Europe (Poland), I don't have enough money to pay the price in euro. I could, however, buy it from an American online store (e.g. here: Adobe Creative Cloud 1-Year Subscription 61101750 B&H Photo | B&H Photo Video ). It's the maximum price I can pay. The question is: will I be able to use it here in Poland and will it be legal to do so? Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 cannot be opened because of a problem.
Dreamweaver is crashing for me on launch -- I tried uninstalling, re-downloading and relaunching, but still get the same error. I'm running Mac OSX 10.8.2, the Creative Cloud version of CS6. Any suggestions? The problem report info is below.

Cannot Install Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection in Win7 x64

I've purchased many adobe products in the past, and i have been generally pleased with them.
However, I downloaded a trial of the CS5.5 Master Collection, and it won't install.
I've followed all of the solutions in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/628980?start=100&tstart=0 , but to no avail.
I've diagnosed the root of the problem, and it's C:\Users\Yunyu\Desktop\MasterCollection_CS5_5_LS1\Adobe CS5_5\payloads\Microsoft_VC90_MFCLOC_x86\Microsoft_VC90_MFCLOC_x86.msi won't install.
I get when i try to install, and the registry key trick does not work for me, as there is no registry key.
Win7 Ultimate x64
No antivirus
What should i do? I've contacted adobe but they don't answer.
I really want to try and buy this product.Tried downloading and installing. Still failed.
No programs at startup. no antivirus, no firewall, this is a fresh install with all updates.
The individual CS5 (not 5.5) programs I purchased earlier installed perfectly (photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver, flash, fireworks), however, the newer ones fail.
I've tried reinstalling .NET, Windows Installer, sfc /scannow, registry fixes, disable services and startup items, etc... to no avail.
The Adobe LOG analyzer doesn't even say I have a problem!

Microsoft buying Adobe, what are alternatives?
I just read its a real possibility Microsoft buy Adobe. This will most certainly spell the beginning of the end of Adobe Support for Mac and the end of Coldfusion (the new windows only asp.net) - my solution, any number of languages but for me it will be php. Flash will become Silverlight...oh well, Dreamweaver will become some sort of Visual Studio hybrid or gone altogether but there are many solutions to that problem. The most pressing problem is a Photoshop and Illustrator alternative. 95% of my work is for the web and electronic formats so I'm not as concerned with some of the tools for print.
I'm not trying to create panic, this hasn't happened yet and it's not a sure thing. If it does happen I imagine support for platforms other than windows will continue for awhile albeit degraded before they fade out altogether. The problem is that Microsofts track record for creative products such as PS and AI has been less than stellar as has their track record with platforms other than Windows. Judging by past Microsoft acquisitions it will be the same for the Adobe product line. Android, IOS, OSX and Linux will continue to be part of the ecosystem and I absolutely do not want to risk being locked into platforms and tools that only support windows as it would be career suicide. I believe the same should be said for those that use the Windows OS to do their work.
With that said, what are the alternatives to Photoshop and Illustrator should it come to that?The problem isn't so much Microsoft dropping support for a platform. It would happen though especially after the purchase. Once the deal goes through Microsoft can drop support for whoever they choose. I truly believe that products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Flash need to be platform agnostic since they are so widely used in the industry and it is dependent on their success. With Microsoft you would be hard pressed to come up with argument that it would continue. History proves otherwise.
Platform issue aside. Microsofts track record for creative products has not been good. There is no reason to believe the Adobe acquisition would result in anything different. This has been Microsofts pattern. For all the complaining about Adobe I still use and rely on their products. A Microsoft aqcuisition would certainly create a need for an alternative. Microsoft has so many problems right now, and so many irons in the fire that it's hard to imagine the Adobe suite of products getting the attention they deserve. More likely they would slowly be absorbed into existing Microsoft products or eliminated altogether to eliminate competition.
Yes it's a shame the Adobe employees probably cannot comment. Keep in mind also that all of this is in the informed rumour stage. I have been a long time Adobe supporter, not just with Photoshop and Flash, but with Coldfusion as well, still, I think it's prudent to be proactive and explore options now and if they don't exist create them. -

[email protected]I'm a little frustrated too. I have the web premium suite of CS4 products and I very much need to publish my dreamweaver course in a SCORM package. I also need to use the interactions etc. available in Coursebuilder. It doesn't seem right that I have paid a lot of money for the web premium package but can't get coursebuilder. The coursebuilder version that works in dreamweaver 8 doesn't work in cs4.
RapidIntake has the coursebuilder version for dreamweaver 8 but they don't have one for cs4.
Is there no solution to this problem other than buying the eLearning suite?
