Cannot buy books from ebooks

I am unable to purchase books from ebooks, am repeatedly told they are not available

You can't currently permanently delete any itemsfrom your purchase history, all you can do is hide them so that they are less visible : uhiding and unhiding (hiding doesn't work on iOS 6, but you should still be able to hide things on your computer's iTunes)

    1. reset password (appleid.apple.com) according to Apple standards (i.e. they will let you know)
    2. security question answers had to 6 characters or longer (oddly without saying so Apple...?)

  • Cannot buy book from iphoto or use itunes music store

I cannot get a book to print from iphoto or access itunes music store through my school network. My school has a PC network, I am the only teacher to use macs in my classroom. I can access the music store through XP on parallels so I know the network connection is good. I believe the problem is a network setting either on my macbook or in our server. Our Tech cannot identify the problem. I just updated all applications to the latest versions.

Seems a Firewall issue on the Mac, perhaps this...

When you cannot find what you want in the ibookstore for your country, the solution is to try one of the other sources that also provide free ereader apps for your device, like Kindle, Nook, Kobo, or Googlebooks.

my iPad mini cannot download books from iTunes - help

    Hi, debikay45.
Test to see if you can download a free application from the App Store.  If this was successful, test downloading the book again.  Try closing all open applications and power cycling the device, test the results.  Make sure you have an active Internet connection.  If these results were unsuccessful, see the steps in the article below that refer to iOS.
Isolate the issue: (Mac OS X, Windows, iOS)
Make sure the issue is with the iTunes Store only. (You need an Internet connection to access the iTunes Store).Open a secure website to test if you are online as is necessary for the iTunes Store. This also tests if the main ports 80 and 443 are accessible. If the website works but the iTunes Store does not, it is most likely a firewall blocking the iTunes software or servers. If this is the case, follow the steps in the "Blocked by software firewall" section below.
Test using another device. If possible, another device, ideally on a different network, would help troubleshooting any iTunes Store issues most efficiently. If another device on another network has issues, the iTunes Store may be undergoing maintenance, and will be available soon.
    Test using another network.
Connect your computer or device to another network and testing helps determine the next step. This is also helpful if multiple devices are affected.
If your device can connect to Wi-Fi and a cellular network, larger downloads may not be possible over the cellular network.
If the issue disappears while connected to another network, you may need to work with your support options to open access to:
    itunes.apple.com
    ax.itunes.apple.com
    ax.init.itunes.apple.com
    albert.apple.com
    gs.apple.com
    ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net
    mzstatic.com
Note: iTunes may use the fully qualified version of these addresses for additional security.
iTunes uses well known ports and these ports may need to be opened for iTunes: 80, 443, 3689, 5297, 5298, 5353, 8000-8999, and 42000-42999.
It is critical that your date, time, and time zone be correct:Windows:
Click Start and then click Control Panel.
Click "Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options" and then click Date and Time.
Click the Date & Time tab.
Make sure that the date and time settings are configured to use the current date and time and then click OK.
    Mac OS X:
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
In System Preferences, click Date & Time.
Enable the option to "Set date and time automatically" if it is not.
Click the Time Zone tab and adjust the time zone to match your current location.
    iOS:
From the home screen, tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
If the option exists, turn off Set Automatically.
Verify the time zone and time (in the status bar) are correct for where you are currently.
If not, adjust the incorrect setting accordingly.
If everything was correct and the option exists, turn on Set Automatically.
Remove any restrictions that may be causing the issue:
    Windows:
It is recommended you use iTunes from an administrator account.
Refer to the Help documentation from Microsoft, contact your IT department, or visitsupport.microsoft.com for more information.
You can also check using iTunes Diagnostics if you are recognized as an administrator by iTunes.
    Mac OS X:
It is recommended you use iTunes from an administrator account. To become an administrator account, from the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
    In System Preferences, click Accounts.
You may need to unlock the lock in the bottom-left corner of the window to make changes. If you can unlock the lock, you are already an admin user.
Under the account you are using, it may say "Standard." Enable the option to "Allow user to administer this computer" to make the user an admin account user.
From the Apple () menu, choose Log Out.
Log back in and return to using iTunes. Test to see if the issue is resolved.
iOS: Restrictions can limit your ability to purchase some content. Check restrictions via Settings> General > Restrictions if you're unsure about those settings.
After isolating the issue to iTunes by following the above steps:
If the issue still occurs and iTunes displays an alert message with a specific code, please see the section below titled "Specific Conditions and Alert Messages" for additional troubleshooting steps.
If the issue is still not resolved and there is no specific code or alert message, you can visit the iTunes Store Discussion Board to try to find additional information for help resolving your issue:
You can also contact AppleCare to discuss your support options. Depending on your product’s coverage status, you may need to pay for support.
    iTunes Store Discussion Board (Mac)
    iTunes Store Discussion Board (Windows)
New routers or a new Internet Service Provider (ISP) may limit your ability to connect to iTunes Store. Let your router manufacturer or your ISP know about the ports and servers in this article and confirm that they are compatible.

  • HT1386 I cannot drag books from I tunes to my Ipod.  i changed from xp to win7

I cannot drag books from Itunes to Ipod touch after upgrading from XP to Win7.  the books are in Itunes successfully.  The system sees my Ipod,  just
cannot get the books to the unit.

I cannot do anything on the Iphone or the Ipod.  I wanted to put music from my Ipod to the library on Itunes and it will not do it!
Moving content is a one way street with iTunes and that is from iTunes to the iPod.  You cannot copy content from the iPod to iTunes.  The exception to this is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred back to iTunes from your iPod via File -> Transfer Purchases.
So all of your content that was on your iPod Touch is no longer in iTunes?

  • Cannot delete books from iPod Touch

I downloaded two MP3 books from our library to my iPod Touch. Now I want to delete them but I cannot find a way to do that. They don't appear when I connect the iPod to my computer. Any help would be appreciated.

Why did Apple program it to function this way?! I synced photos from my computer to my iPod. I threw away my old computer when I bought a Macbook Pro. I want to delete my previously synced photos from my old computer. How can I unsynced the photos now? Can I ask Apple to allow synced photos to be deleted? Can I also ask Apple to allow me to add more photos on my iPod to the album of synced photos?

I have rebuilt my iPhoto library and did rebot in Safe Mode.
    Still the same issue.
I also tried it on my MacBook Pro, It freezes on there too.
I can click on the blue bullet points, but not on check out. I have to do a Force Quit.
Need these books for Christmas, Please Help!!

Did the test library work as it should have?  If so then your current library is the culprit.  So make a temporary, backup copy of your library if you don't already have one (Control-click on the library and select Duplicate from the contextual menu) and  apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments.  However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • Cannot buy apps from iTunes UK store from EU

    Dear Apple community,
I am having trouble with buying an app from the iTunes store.
I moved from the UK back to EU - in Slovak iTunes store I cannot buy the app - it says 'Please switch to the UK store'.
When I switch to the UK store, I cannot change the country (UK) and thus cannot fill in my billing information for the current EU address I reside in.
    What should I do?
    Thanks in advance

  • Cannot Buy Apps from my mac mini

two days agi i installed the new os x Mountain Lion, but now i cannot buy anny apps..it said we could not complish your request There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (13)..why this is happen?? before that it never happen...can somebody help me?? what should i do??
    thank you

Hi Don, some things to try...
    http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/42241/there-was-an-error-in-the-mac-app -store-please-try-again-later-13
    http://theregime.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/mac-appstore-we-could-not-complete-you r-request-error-13/
Mac OS X users can try to solve the "Error 5200" problem (and other cryptic iTunes errors) by following these instructions to repair the permissions of the iTunes Music Folder:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93069
The permissions may have been altered when migrating the music folder between computers or partitions. They may also be altered by an upgrade of the OS (e.g.m moving from Tiger to Leopard) or by an iTunes upgrade.
The Apple artnum=93069 makes no mention of error 5002 and did not help. Setting "one click" only worked after quitting and restarting iTunes. Changing back to "shopping cart" now also works. I suspect there was no need to set "one click" and that any change to account information (even a null change) would work. I don't know how to make the problem return to test this.

  • How can I buys book from iTunes if it is not available in my area; however available in the US iTunes store?

    Hi,
I used to buy from itunes through my apple account till an apple onle store was opened recently in my country. This should have been a good news; however, the rality is that - it is not! Books that I'm willing to buy is not available in my country; however, available in the US store. Is there anyway that I can buy books and download them if not available in my apple's country online store?

Read here >  iTunes Store: Which types of items can I buy in my country?
Is there anyway that I can buy books and download them if not available in my apple's country online store?
The problem with that is your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

  • I cannot move books from library to device to sync

can anyone help sync books from library to shuffle

It appears to be Adobe Reader. I set this up years ago and I've never had a problem till last night.  It said it could not connect to the Adobe server.  When I reinstalled Overdrive and authorized the Adobe Reader, it said I had too many accounts assigned.  I deleted one and it still says that or cannot reach the Adobe server.
Correction:  After researching this, I'm thinking now it is Adobe Digital.  Obviously I'm confused.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.  It would be nice if I could just find a darn phone number to contact someone in person, but I guess that is old fashioned and out of vogue.

  • Why I cannot buy anything from iTunes store without asking to contact iTunes support to complete the transaction

Is anything wrong with iTunes store? Nowadays it always asks to contact iTunes support before completing a transaction,,,which is very frustrating

They said, they would look into it. After two days the problem was solved. I started buying things from the stores without asking to contact the iTunes support. Three days after the problem started again. I contacted them again, they said they would look into it again and my account has been disabled now. I received mail from them yesterday and I was told that they are still working on it to find the exact problem with my account. Even to open another iTunes account now, one will still need to contact the iTunes support in order to complete the transaction. Many people has told me they are encountering the same problem.
I started having this problem since the day I updated my billing account information. I have used more than three different cards but the problem still persists.
I am just fed up. I have more than £10 Credit on my account that I cannot spend since this problem started.

  • Cannot order book from iphoto

I am trying to order books that i have created in iphoto 5 and when i click on "buy book" it goes through the assembling photose, but then just gets stuck on connecting phase and doesn;t go anywhere. i have let it sit in that phase for as long as overnight and it still doesnt work.
    please help!

This can happen quite often, i don't think it is any of your hardware or cables that is affecting this. From my experience, i occured the same problem so i just thought i'd leave it because i wasn't to bothered anyway. But then weeks later i thought i'd give it a go and it worked fine and i recieved my album a week later.
It should work if you just 'forget about it' for a little while. I don't not believe there is a specific answer to why this occurs.
