Cannot calibrate Nike +

When I 1st bought and used Nike+, I noticed that the
pace did not seem to be accurate, in fact it was
recording far too few paces for my walks. I waited
until I could find a measured course so I could
calibrate it thinking that was the problem.
When I found a measured course and attempted
calibration, each time I did so, at the end of the
calibrated distance, Nano reported each time that the
distance I walked did not equal the calibration
distance. I did this 3 times, 1st time 1km and the
next 2 times at 400m.
Does this mean I have a defective unit?
I sewed the sender unit into the toungue of my Adidas
running shoe.

I use a pouch on my Z-coil running shoes, and until I tried calibrating for distance, etc., the Nike+ worked perfectly for the first month that I used it.
The Miami section I was using to test myself has been "calibrated" for distance exactly with my Toyota, and I have tested the distance several times. After a month, I decided that maybe the default config could be improved upon and I was unsuccessful in "calibrating" to my running. I mistakenly set it for .25 mile and then ran .30 mile during the calibration run. From then on, all my distances and times were way out of wack. Another attempt did nothing. I have tried over and over again to RESET to the default, but I cannot get the Nike+ to do this. Even after resetting the entire iPod, it was still impossible to reset the calibration to the "default," which is what I wish to do. HELP????? I know this is not exactly the difficulty that others on this thread have had, but I'd appreciate any suggestions. I have not "turned over" my device in the pouch on my shoe, nor have I turned the device itself off and on. ?????? TIA.

Nano 7th Gen resets when I attempt to calibrate niki shoe sensor

I cannot calibrate the Niki Shoe sensor. As I get close to completing the calibration the Nano shuts down and restarts. Also, I can never see the calibration of just doing a basic run registering as a run, the data is registering as a walk. Yesterday during a basic run, the Nano did a restart just before I completed my three miles.
Is this a Nano defect or a Niki Sensor defect?

Ordinarily, the sensor does not require recalibration. You may want to consider recalibrating if your fitness level changes or if you would like to try to improve the accuracy of your results.

Combo Drive Cannot Calibrate Laser Question

For some reason it is saying that my CD burner cannot calibrate the laser for the type of media, and has been for some time now actually. Is there a way I can install a firmware update and it will fix the problem? Or should I actually go to the apple store and get it checked out?
Finally, I was told that it might be because I installed an update a while back for a superdrive and not a combodrive and it might have done this, so is there a way to get rid of that update?

I finally sucked it up and bought a disc cleaner, and now it works fine.

I cannot see nik plug ins in PS CC

I just installed Nik software but cannot see the plug ins in photoshop CC, the Nik name shows in the filter menu but is grayed out .. what can i do ? your help will be greatly appreciated ..

Make sure you have the latest nik software many have had problems with Nik plug-ins.

Cannot sync Nike+ iPod wirelessly

Quick background:
- using an iPhone 4 running 4.2.1
- lost iTunes as it was removed from my work laptop
- use Nike+ iPod machines at the gym (think they are branded Matrix)
So here is the issue:
Before I used to connect my iPhone to my laptop, iTunes would open as would the Nike+ website which would show me my runs, timings, distance etc.
Now I don't have iTunes installed I wanted to continue to upload the information and track my runs. I did check and saw that it was possible to wirelessly do this - but no runs are displayed on my history.
Any help would be appriciated.

i recently got a new PC and i would like to sync my iphone on it. i have sen a few discussions and followed instructions and here is what i did and reached:
- i connected teh phone to the new PC
- i right clicked on teh phone on teh left menu of teh itunes as it appeared and i chose "backup" and backed up successfully
- i then right clicked again on teh same palce and chose "trasfer purchases" and that was done successfully too.
- i opened the outlook on my pc and created a new contact (this was advised to do in one of teh discussions in order to enable the contacts of the outlook and the phone to merge together)
- in the info tab, i chose to sync the contacts and teh notes (which is what i want to sync). as i clicked "sync" i was gived the option to "erase content of the phone" or "cance".
- i chose cancel. as i clicked "cancel" i was given other 2 choices, one of them is "merge the content of both outlook and phone" so i chose the merge option. and i clicked "sync"
what happened then is that the new contact that i had created on teh PC outlook, was successfully synced to teh phone. however, the contacts that i have on teh phone were not trasferred to outlook.
- i tired to reset sync history from itunes and try yo sync again, still no contacts were trasfered from the phone to the outlook.
i have an iphone 4 runing the latest ios 5.1.1
i have the latest itunes
i have windows 7 running office 2010
i need help to transfer the contacts from teh phone to the outlook and have them sync notmally together like it was with my old PC.

Cannot install nike+ utility on my mac anymore

I have been using the Nike+ utility on my mac for several months without any major problems.
Suddenly, now I can't install it anymore.
First the version I had installed did not appear when I placed my nike usb stick in the computer. Then I installed the program again and it installed success. However the program is not under applications or utilities and it still does not start up when I place the usb stick in the computer.
Any ideas?

I fixed it! I closed everything that was running on my computer (Safari, etc). I checked the applications folder and saw that there was (somehow) already a CS6 icon. I put it in the trash. I then double clicked on CS6 in the downloads folder, opened the installer and this time it worked. Finally! I've been trying to do it since yesterday.

Cannot calibrate displays

Hi,
this has happened recently, perhaps since updating to 10.4.9:
The MBP display is super-flat and washed out (no contrast - black is grey...) and I can no longer calibrate either the MBP or external display. When I hit the calibrate button I get the message:
"Can not calibrate the display.
The factory profile for the display could not be found."
I seached help and got a hit on an identical problem with iBooks running 10.3.1 but the solution was to upgrade to 10.3.2... (Obviously, not really much help to me.)
I have checked and all of the profiles seem to be there, and the calibration assistant is telling me that it can find no problems either.
Any ideas?

Can't calibrate Nike+ sensor with iPhone 4

I can't perform Walk on Run calibration.
It says that I have to complete a workout and then press "Calibrate" button. I tried different workouts but I'm not getting this button anywhere.

I believe VLC was able to do this, but it was pulled from the app store by the developer. I am not aware of any apps that can handle this format on an iPhone. Largely because most people would consider it obsolete given the capabilities of modern smartphones.

C6-00 cannot calibrate touch screen

My C6-00 (RM-612) was working fine all this while .......and then I upgraded to 41.0.010 (Custom Version 41.0.010.C01.01).
After a day or two of the upgrade, I noticed that the touch left side of the screen drifted ... ie when I press * it dials 0. However the right side seems fine.
I tried the touch screen calibration but nothing happens when I tap the center of the top-left corner bullseye.
Any idea what can possibly be done?

We recommend you to do a soft reset on your phone, it may be a bit difficult as your screen has drifted, but enter the following code into you keypad:
Soft Reset
*#7780# - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data) AND the passcode is 12345.
Just to clarify, you did calibrate your screen through the phone's software by navigating to
Menu > Settings > Phone > Touch input > Touch screen calibration. Then followed the instructions on the screen?

I cannot calibrate my Apple Cinema Display without getting an error message. I've done it many times before.

I have a 23" Apple Cinema Display and a MacPro running Snow Leopard. Using the built in calibration system I have calibrated the display several times in the past, but now I get an error message: The new calibrated display profile could not be created or set to be the current profile for this display." I have no applications open when I do the calibrating.

Launch the Terminal application by entering the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. If that doesn’t work, then in the Finder, press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
Drag or copy – do not type – the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
ls -Odel Library/ColorSync/Profiles
Post any lines of output that appear below what you entered – the text, please, not a screenshot.

How can I get my iPhone 4 to Calibrate in the Nike/ipod App?

I have tried the direction from my phone by walking to calibrate, powered my phone off, did a full reboot and so far nothing has worked for me - called Apple and they want me to bring my phone in for service and buy an Apple Care plan but I am ona fixed income so I would like to try to do some research with the knowladgeable commnity first. I wm willing to give most anything a try, within reason (obviously ) I want to use this, I did on my Ipod Nano, but it was stolen, so here I though I had sll in one place and it doesn't work! I cannot calibrate my compass either, if that has anything to do with this...

When it suggests a word you are to tap the X next to the word saying you don't want it, thus adds what you typed to the dictionary.
Note though it adds it, but words are "weighted" in the internal algorithim so your word may not show up right away next time you try to type depending how heavily weighted the word it suggests is. The more you tap the X to say no it isn't what you want, the more it weights yours and removes the weight from the other word.
It is a learning process.

Microsoft Office CD cannot be started and installed on Equium series

Hi, please can anyone help?
I have a Microsoft Office Professional edition 2003 that i use at work and loads onto other pc's ok, but ive brought it home to load on my Equium and when i insert the disk into the drive it doesnt even recognise it !!!
can anyone tell me why this is?

Because of your first statement it seems the Office CD is ok and the notebook drive cannot recognize and read the medium.
I think its a drive lens problem. Maybe its dirty or it cannot calibrate correctly
Hmmm. One question; is Sonic application installed on the notebook???
Try to remove it and after the reboot try to run the office CD again

Missing Nike + sync in iTunes 9.0/Touch 3.1.1

I've just upgraded to iTunes 9.0.0.70 and my Touch to v3.1.1 and now I cannot sync Nike + info -- the tab is missing in iTunes -- anyone else missing that?

I Have the same problem, downloaded iTunes 9.0.1 and when i sync my iphone with itunes the nike tabe is missing it is if it is there but i can not scrol to the tab, in total it shows 9 tabs in full and 1 just a part of the tab but i can still click on it, i have a feeling furter along the line is the nike tab but i do nt know how to scrol to it. anybody have any ideas?
ps my workouts are uploaded to nike.

IPhone 5c + Nike+ app

My wife recently upgraded from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5c. She likes to use the Nike+ app (NOT THE SHOE SENSOR) so she could track her mileage AND listen to music at the same time.
Now, with the new phone both work independently but she can't both listen to music and run with the app at the same time. When she clicks on the music icon on the Nike+ app it simply goes back to the home screen of her phone.
Any help will be appreciated.

I found this information on the Nike + iPod app that comes on the iPhone:
With a Nike + iPod Sensor (sold separately), the Nike + iPod app provides audible feedback on your speed, distance, time elapsed, and calories burned during a run or walk.
The Nike + iPod app doesn’t appear on the Home screen until you turn it on.
Nike + iPod collects workout data from a wireless sensor (sold separately) that you attach to your shoe. Before you use it the first time, you need to link your sensor to iPhone.
Shoe, meet iPhone. To link the sensor to iPhone, attach the sensor to your shoe, then go to Settings > Nike + iPod > Sensor.
Be accurate. To calibrate Nike + iPod, record a workout over a known distance of at least a quarter mile (400 meters). Then, after you tap End Workout, tap Calibrate on the workout summary screen and enter the actual distance you covered.
Try again. To reset to the default calibration, go to Settings > Nike + iPod.
