Cannot change Application Identity service to automatic.

I am running Windows Technical Preview for Enterprise and when I try to change the startup Application Identity service to automatic, I always get access
is denied and I cannot change the Application Identity service to startup automatically.
Here is the screenshot of my error:

Are you facing this problem with all services or only this one?
Are you able to change it to different state?

Cannot start Coldfusion 9 Application Server Service

Note that this is for a Dev server. Not vital, but super annoying. I found my machine had been restarted due to Lumension. This is normal. However, since I imported a .car file from the old CF8 server directly to this CF9 Dev server I had not rebooted or restared the CF9 service.
I found these error messages in the Event viewer:
The ColdFusion 9 Application Server service could not be started. Check the server "coldfusion" log files for more information.
and
The ColdFusion 9 Application Server service terminated with service-specific error The system cannot find the file specified..
I checked the JRUN logs and cannot find any logs pertaining to anything matching today's timestamp nor anything out of place that appears to be the cause. Nothing in CF logs either, mostly because CF never got up to running status so no logs could be generated.
I thought I found the culprit in this post, http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/threadid:61223 ... but the fix had no effect. I didn't find anything in my search using grep outside of the JRUN temp folder which a single .xml file had an invalid Coldfusion8 path. Fixing the path or deleting the offending temp files didn't cure the problem.
I've also tried moving all the root files that was moved into the /ColdFusion9/wwwwroot/ directory out and trying to start the service, but same error and failure occurs.
I have not tried reinstalling. I did install the CF9.0.1 update and it was working just dandy until this restart. There are no other computer problems experienced that I can tell and not other errors were found in the event viewer.

"Error: no known VMs. (check for corrupt jvm.cfg file)" was the exposed error.

Found the problem to be as I suspected some incorrect path. It was the java.home variable that was incorrect. java.home=<IncorrectDrive>:/ColdFusion9/runtime/jre I changed that to java.home=C:/ColdFusion9/runtime/jre and it fired up just fine. Solved!

Cannot change SQL 2008 R2 Service account from local System to any account

Windows 7 64 Bit Developer Edition of SQL Server 2008 R2
Successfully changed SQL Server Agent, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Analysis Services, SQL Server Integeration Services and SQL Full-Text Filter Daemon Launcher from Local System Account to Domain account. Howerver, I cannot change
the SQL Server Account. The SQL Server Configuration Manager generates the below error:
WMI Provider ERROR (in window title bar)
Big red X followed by "The parameter is incorrect. [0x80070057].
I have tried many things with no luck:
Tried using a different local administrator account
Tried putting the Domain account I want to change to in the local admin group
Tried adding the Domain account I want to change to in all of the SQL created local groups
I think im going to have to reinstall to change the account. What up!@!!

Please try:
Open SQL Server service's property dialog in SQL Server Configuration Manager.
Select "This account", and then click "Browser".
Enter you domain account and then click "Check Names"
Back to property dialog and input the password

Try tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores on your devices (Settings > Store if they aren't on iOS 6+) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on them.

One axis of wave chart cannot change away from automatic formatting

Refer attached vi and picture. I can change the other two y axis to floating point, but I cannot change the "acceleration x,y,z" from automatic formating to floating point; whenever I click floating point, the highlight returns back to automatic formating.
Now why is that, some setting wrong some where?

I've opened your VI in both LabVIEW 8.6 and LabVIEW 2009, and could see the same behaviour in both versions.
After that, I tried a few things:
- I deleted all other scales except for the "acceleration x, y, z", but it was still the same.
- I duplicated the "acceleration x,y,z" scale, so now there are two scales - "acceleration x,y,z" and "acceleration x,y,z 2". I shifted all but 1 of the plots to use "acceleration x,y,z 2". The result was still the same.
It is really a strange behaviour, it looks to me like it could be a bug. Do you have the exact steps to replicate this problem?
Anyway, I managed to get a workaround. Using one of the normal scales "Heave, roll, pitch", I duplicated that scale by right-clicking on "Heave, roll, pitch" axis, and select "Duplicate Scale". This duplicated scale can be assigned to the individual plots again, and the display format will not be "fixed" to the automatic formatting option.
Please try it out and let me know how it goes.

HT5594 I upgraded to IOS 7 this weekend, however when I go into Privacy - Location Serivces; I cannot click on location services to change my settings. Anyone have any help for this?

Thanks for the question. If your Locations Services page seems greyed out, or "dimmed", this could be due to limitations set by Restrictions. Using Restrictions in iOS 7, one could prevent changes to location services (including enabling/disabling). You may want to check these settings:

You can prevent changes to Privacy settings, including:
- Location Services
If your iOS device is missing a particular application or if a certain feature is not available, ensure that Restrictions are not enabled. Symptoms can include:

- Feature or service unavailable (such as Siri or Location Services)
- Setting missing or dimmed (such as Mail, Contacts, and Calendar; iCloud; Twitter; FaceTime)

Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

One button login cannot change agent state because phone is out of service on 8861 phone

I'm testing out the 88XX line of phones for our practice and I am getting the strangest error when trying to enter ready state using one button login.
The phone states...
one button login cannot change agent state because phone is out of service
We are using extension mobility to login into the phone, then hitting the one button login service. (all of which works fine).
Also if I use this same account on any of our older 79XX phones it works perfectly and I can go into ready state and receive calls.
I only have issues on the 88XX line of phones.
Any insight would be great, thanks.

We have seen this issue in our lab.
But after configuring the authenticate presence and authenticate register and also you need to associate the respective session-server for the ephone-dn as shown below...it will work.

Service Template: Automatic Machine Rebooting and Script Restarting via Exit Code in Script Application

My question is on Script Applications in
Service Templates:
In VM Templates, in the Application Configuration tab, one can add a Script Application. This can be a PowerShell script, a batch script, etc.
For each Script Application, it is possible (via the Advanced options) to make the
machine reboot when the script exits with one of three
exit codes: 1641, 3010 and 3011.
Problem:
For PowerShell or PS scripts, if I use ‘exit 3010’, the machine should reboot but it doesn’t…
Bad workaround:
Use a batch script which calls the PS script. Then, exit out of the batch script using ‘exit $LASTEXITCODE’. This works. The machine reboots.
I can’t use the workaround. Is there a way to do this using just the PS script?

In fact yes.
You actually want SCVMM to orchestrate the reboot by sending the proper exit code. Otherwise SCVMM gets all weird about things.
It is in the advanced settings for the script and / or command.
You need to make sure that your script tosses the 3011 or 3010 on exit.
I do it with the 3011:
# Exit 3011
[Environment]::Exit(“3011”)
In the XML you will find this:
<vmmst:RebootExitCodeRegex>{1641}|{3010}|{3011}</vmmst:RebootExitCodeRegex>
But you do not want to enable restarting the script on each reboot or you will find yourself in a loop.

OpsMgr Config Service stops automatically

There's a fresh installation of SCOM 2007 SP1, SQL database is configured on a separate server. The installation itself goes smoothly without any errors. After installation to RTS OpsMgr Config Service stops automatically, after restart it works for about a minute, then stops again. All the other OpsMgr services work correctly. OpsMgr Config Service and OpsMgr SDK Service are run from the same domain account with Domain Admin rights. OpsMgr Health Service is run from Local System account. Here's what I see in the logs:
