Cannot change font from Lucinda Grande

Hi, recently when creating text using the text generator in FCP 5.1.2 i am unable to chance the font to anything. it is stuck on Lucinda Grande. All other drop menus are functional except for this one. Am i missing something obvious here? It has definitly worked fine before.. any ideas?

Are you using FCP's Text tool? For me it has always been the most under-developed and unreliable part of the application. If you haven't already, try recreating your text files in Boris Title 3D (it's in the Boris folder in the Video Generators Folder in the Effects Tab of the Browser). It's easy to use and much more flexible - like allowing you to have different font styles and sizes in the same line, use a lot of cool effects in the Style Palette, etc.
Also, if you haven't already, do the old standby trash your preferences and repair permissions. Curious: can you change fonts in any other applications?

I've programed a web application with Facelets. As I start the first page "index.html" I got the following exception:
"java.lang.IllegalStateException: Attempt to change ContentType after calling getWriter() (cannot change charset from 'ISO-8859-1' to 'UTF-8')"
The header of the "index.html" looks as follow:

          My index.jsp page has the directive <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=ISO-8859-1"
          %>.
          It uses my templating tag-library, which uses a requestDispatcher to include my
          template.
          My template doesn't have this contentType directive.
          Then I get an exception :

Ibooks cannot change font of English on the new ipad

I cannot change the font of English in ibooks 3.0.1. Especially those books I exported by Pages. While I can change the font of some books I downloaded from Internet. How can i deal with that proble?

iphone 4s works fine with gmail and gmail set up via exchange, Ipad1 (OS5) gmail setup works, but exchange setup does not. All settings correct based on google support for setting up Exchange accounts on iOS devices. I tried most of the same tricks as the original poster. No luck though. It has been >12 hours now since I last tried. The device doesn't show up on the list of devices on the google page that shows which devices are syncing with Exchange.

Verizon Webmail Editing fails in IE9 - Cannot change Font or Character Size

I recently switched from IE8 to IE9, and now in Rich Text I cannot highlight and change Font family of Font Size.
The highlight disappears when I click one of the Font dropdowns, and the cursor jumps to the head of the message.
I can select a Font size and/or family, then position the cursor, then enter text, and it is the correct size and family,
but I cannot after that change it. If I paste something into the message, I cannot change that.
This fails on two computers running WIN8-64bit and IE9.
It does not fail in Firefox.
Verizon says it is Microsoft's problem. I think Verizon's webmail client provider needs to talk to MIcrosoft.
Does anyone have this configuration with this problem?
Does anyone have this configuration without this problem, and if so, any idea what to change?
Has anyone a solution to offer (except returning to IE8 where it worked)?

Thanks for the quick reply, I tried disabling hardware acceleration but the moment I unchecked it everything started appearing a bit fuzzy. Not as crisp as it normally should. (unless the real effect happens after restarting FF)
Regardless I still don't see how my graphics driver would be the issue, because isn't IE9 technically using it as well? And it showed those special characters just fine other than making em appear a bit smaller.
Also I forgot to mention this, but atm its only happening when I'm viewing that particular page with FF. If I view another different site (like a forum) that has the same or at least similar sets of those special characters, they are showing up fine. If I copy/paste those texts from IE9 onto FF then again they would show up fine.
There's also some forum posts I did which involved me copy/pasting those special characters from that page (before updating to FF12), now when I look at those posts they haven't changed at all as that page has.
So the problem here is not being able to view those characters completely but rather why they would appear different especially on that page unlike when viewed from different sources/browsers.

TS4002 I want to view my emails with the reading pane at the bottom of the screen - I cannot change it from a vertical column view. Used to be 'classic view' in mobile me. Anyone know how to do it?

My problem is on webmail - when I open my email on iCloud I have the columns and cannot find where to change the view.

One axis of wave chart cannot change away from automatic formatting

Refer attached vi and picture. I can change the other two y axis to floating point, but I cannot change the "acceleration x,y,z" from automatic formating to floating point; whenever I click floating point, the highlight returns back to automatic formating.
Now why is that, some setting wrong some where?

Hello Sunflower2772,
I've opened your VI in both LabVIEW 8.6 and LabVIEW 2009, and could see the same behaviour in both versions.
After that, I tried a few things:
- I deleted all other scales except for the "acceleration x, y, z", but it was still the same.
- I duplicated the "acceleration x,y,z" scale, so now there are two scales - "acceleration x,y,z" and "acceleration x,y,z 2". I shifted all but 1 of the plots to use "acceleration x,y,z 2". The result was still the same.
It is really a strange behaviour, it looks to me like it could be a bug. Do you have the exact steps to replicate this problem?
Anyway, I managed to get a workaround. Using one of the normal scales "Heave, roll, pitch", I duplicated that scale by right-clicking on "Heave, roll, pitch" axis, and select "Duplicate Scale". This duplicated scale can be assigned to the individual plots again, and the display format will not be "fixed" to the automatic formatting option.
Please try it out and let me know how it goes.

Cannot change fonts in Mail version 3.1

When I start a new message in mail, if I want to change the font I can't access the font tool either by selecting the font button in the outgoing message tool bar or by the drop down format menu ( or by "command T"). I can, however, go into preferences and change fonts universally. Basically if I cut and paste a sentence from another message or word doc into an outgoing mail message that is a different size or font and I want to make all the fonts the same, nothing happens, no font tool window appears.

I ran into the same issue yesterday and have tried to change the language from English to German. I have restarted iTunes as requested. The weird thing now is: The settings show German, but iTunes still is in English. I have then set the language to French and restarted iTunes and... It was French.... Then I put the settings back to German with the result that iTunes is Englich again. I have no solution and I am curious if this is a programming issue as it seems I am not the only one here from Germany.... Any ideas???

Frustrated as to why when I highlight a single word to change font size or style every word on the page follows the adjustment. I need to be able to change words individually with font, size and color.

Cannot change font for UTF-8 pages in FF 4.0.1

No matter whether I change Options > Content > Default font, or go to Options > Content > Advanced and set Sans Serif for Other Languages, nothing changes—for instance, on this forum. Everything's still Times New Roman from the looks of it.
The Sans Serif font for Other Languages is set to Arial.
There's no Unicode entry in the list. The Other Languages is the closest I could find.
I have Options > Content > Advanced > Allow pages to choose their own fonts… unchecked.
I made similar changes for Western, and that worked—for pages detected as having ISO-8859-1 encoding.
Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

On a more general note, I think that the font setup in Firefox is so over-complicated. I personally want all my pages in a single font, and I don't care if some weird languages are displayed incorrectly with it. I bet that most people do want the same, even them who speak those weird languages. It's just a matter of picking one font that works for the languages you care about.
Now that might not work perfectly for everybody so there should be an advanced option—an ability to add overrides. It should be similar to how it works now but the list of overrides should be user-customizable and '''empty by default.''' So that we regular people don't bother ourselves with encodings and languages we're never going to use.
I wonder if I'm the only one who's disappointed with FF's font settings. Couldn't find anything on this topic on the 'net.

Cannot change font, size or anything for typewriter tool

Hello all,
I am having an issue with the typewriter tool. I cannot seem to change my font on about 95% of my PDFs? Every once in awhile I am able to change the font and size. But I cannot find a consistancy and cannot figure out the issue? When I want to write on the PDFs to change size or font, it won't allow me to. Any ideas?

I believe I have good news for all who have this trouble. It's been annoying since day one.
I accidentally discovered that by setting your cursor just off the edges of the document and begin your typing, the font properties always remain easily available!
Once you have created a typed message (any number of characters is okay), you can then drag the filled-in Typewriter Text Box to any location on the document; and you can continue to edit, at will!
Using the Typewriter Tool, I've had less than 05% font selection success when I type directly on/in the document.
Using the Typewriter Tool, I've had 100% font selection success by starting my typing in this space just off the document surface. Once finished typing, I just drag the box to the document surface. I hope this works for you, too!

Cannot change font in HTML5 output

Hi!
I'm not aware what I do wrong. My form renders in HTML5 using default "Myriad Pro" font despite font I specify in design. I have checked XML source of the form and saw that "Myriad Pro" was never user. I'd like to use Arial and not Myriad that is not present on majority of client browsers.
Do you have an idea?

HTML5 form rendition requires that the font you used at design time should be present on the device/machine where you are opening the HTML5 form. If that font is missing from that device, a fallback font will be used by client browser which might be Myriad Pro in your case.
So make sure that the font you used while designing is present both on Server as well as client machine/device from where HTML5 form is opened.
