Cannot change Hide Sent Messages setting

I have a user that had his Curve 8530 replaced.  With his previous unit, he had the Hide Sent Messages setting (in Messages - General Options) set to Yes.  With his new unit, everytime he changes that setting to Yes and saves the change the sent messages are not hidden.  He goes back into the options and the setting is back to No.  No matter how many times he's changed and saved the setting it doesn't work.  He can change other settings on this screen (like Hide Read Filed Messages) and those settings remain saved.  He cannot change the Hide Sent Messages for some reason.  He's removed the battery and still doesn't work.  We are on the Enterprise Server and I can't find anything in there that would have changed that would be preventing this.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Hello,
Nope...there is no such setting. My hope is that as they continue to develop the product, that they will even further enhance the replication of the on-device experience into Blend. But, for now, it is what it is.
Good luck!

  • Hide sent messages keeps reverting to No......

I just got a 9300 and I previously had an old 2G curve. We have an Enterprise server I believe at work. Everything transferred perfectly except one thing. When I go in messages and choose options, hide sent messages, YES and hit save........and then go back to look again, it has changed back to NO. Every time!!!! It doesn't do this for Hide Filed Messages.....just the Hide Sent Messages. It's very weird.
I have taken out the SIM and battery.
Anyone any ideas? I know I can Alt and I to just see incoming but I shouldn;t have to do that every time as I didn't on the old BB
    Thanks

  • Cannot change BBM group details/setting, on BES

    Hi All,
I'm newbie forgive if I wrongly put this question in this thread..
After updating to latest asia firmware (666), suddenly I cannot change BBM group detail on my torch (9800). Therefore, now I always get unwanted notification/update from new group that I recently join.
I am on BES, using a provider in Indonesia.
Any solution for this? I just want to turn off group notification..
    Many thanks

  • Cannot change calendar default reminder setting

When my calendar reminder pops up it gives me the option to end the reminder or snooze for a preiod of 5 mins. This is far too short so I went to Calendar, Options, General Options and under Actions set the Default Reminder to 15 min and saved the change.
When a reminder pops up the snooze time is still 5 minutes despite the change I made. Very annoying !
What can be done to set the reminder time to anything other than 5 mins ? Have I changed the wrong field, or is this a bug ???

I would try doing a clean software reload on your BlackBerry.
Be sure to back everything up as the process listed in KB11320 will delete all your user data and reinstall the applications only.
Before restoring any data, test the Calendar. Change the settings and try making a new appointment.
It's recommended to do a selective restore of your data. KB10339 will walk you through the restore process.
Let me know how yo make out.

  • Cannot see sent messages

Absolute BB newbie, just received an 8320.  I think I've figured out most of the basics, but cannot seem to make my sent messages visible. I have checked to be sure "hide sent messages" is set to "no", set it to "yes", than reset it to "no", pulled the battery for 30 seconds, tried standing on my head and screaming at it... also, the sent messages folder is empty.  Is this a glitch, or am I being stupid?

    Hi
first I would guess that you created your account as a POP3 account. That would lead to the problem that sent emails only exist on the one computer you were sending the email from.
Please let us know if the email accounts are POP3 or IMAP.
    regards

  • I can't see my sent messages!!

    Please can you help?
PROBLEM 1 -  I have 2 email accounts set up on my blackberry and they all used to show a sent email as a new email in my inbox on my blackberry (which I kept on as i like to see that it has sent).  For some reason 1 of my accounts doesn't show up the mail. The 'Hide Sent Messages' in the General Options section is set at NO but makes no difference.
PROBLEM 2 -  Why in one of my inboxes does it show the emails all grouped as "3 tasks' and from the menu I have to choose "open conversation" to see the thread of emails - i don't have to do this in my other inboxes.
PROBLEM 3 - Emails older than about a month just disappear from the inbox.
    Hope you can help

If you select a mailbox, you should get an Edit button (easier to see in landscape mode). Clicking the button will provide you with check circles for the messages. You also get Delete and Move buttons at the bottom. Check the messages you want to move and then navigate to the mailbox you want to drop them into. I think as long as you can navigate to a mailbox you can move the messages to it.
In the Mac Mail application and probably Outlook on the Windows side, you also setup rules to move messages to specific mailboxes. If the mailboxes are stored on the server, then you can have the sorting done on the server and they should appear that way on the iPad. If your later messages do not show up, you may need to have the iPad app pulled down more messages until they are all showing.

  • Do sent messages get saved in any folders?

When I use PC Suite to compose and send text messages, they seem to send (at least I do not get any error message), but I cannot find the sent message in the Sent Items folder. Am I looking in the wrong place, or is there an option I have missed?

For confirmation:I have PC USite 6.85.14.1 and N95 and when I send a text message from PC Suite, it gets stored to my N95's sent folder.
So I am thinking can this also be S40 vs. S60 specific issue that with S40 phones the sms's sent from PC do not get stored...not quitesure, more people should tell here what their experience is, do the pc sent sms's get stored to phone sent folder ?

  • Sent messages in the Q10 Hub

Sent messages - where can I find them in the Hub? I receive an email, open it in the Hub, choose reply and send it, but I can't then find it! I've got the Hub set up to show conversations, and I'd expect to see the reply above or below the original incoming email.
    Thanks

Here are solutions, higher is more efficient.
first solution : there is an option on your handheldto hide sent messages
second solution : the Blackberry Technical Solution Center : http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10332&sliceId=SAL_Pub...
third solution : in GMail, create an automatic filter to delete these duplicates

  • Mail's "Hide Related Messages" doesn't stick?

I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and am now running into an issue that I haven't found any information on.
In Mail I often open up an email into a new window if I'll be referring to it often. With Mountain Lion it defaults this to the "Show Related Messages" view with that white message over the OSX grey background and all the related emails threaded below it. I don't want this. I go up to View -> "Hide Related Messages" and it goes away.... only to return when I restart Mail, restart my computer, log out/in, or even sometimes when I come back from screensaver or the dashboard. I can't for the life of me get this "Hide Related Messages" setting to stick.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

Try Mail Preferences/Viewing/Include related messages (uncheck that box). I just upgraded to Mountain Lion and had roughly the same problem which I fixed this way. I prefer to have that as an icon on my toolbar, which you can add by going to the View menu, Customize toolbar, and drag the "show related messages" icon to the toolbar.

  • How to keep sent messages from my BB on a BIS account

    HI,
I use my hotmail and cogeco email a lot and I want to keep a record of my sent msg's from my BB.  The messages I sent today from my BB are not stored in the sent folder on the BB or on line at the mail service.
How do I ensure all sent messages are saved to a folder, either on my BB of on the host service?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

POP email does not sync to the email server.
Sent email messages will save to the BlackBerry.
On your BlackBerry, open your Messages folder.
    Press the Menu key.
    Click on Options
Click on Message Display and Actions.
-- do you have "Hide Sent Messages" checked?

  • No sent messages?

I'm having a tough time figuring this one out. Basically, Mail works fine, except for the sent messages. Whenever I e-mail someone, then try to view that sent message in my "Sent" folder, I get the following message in the window:
"The message from Cursor <[email protected]> concerning "subject" has not een downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it."
Now, I can recieve and send messages alright, and I can see the messages that I receive, but I cannot view my sent messages. Anyone know how to fix this (hopefully without having to reinstall the system)? I'm running 10.3.9 on an 800MHz G4 flat-panel iMac. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello, and welcome to the Discussions.
If you are running 10.3.9, as you report, then you have an Overstuffed Sent messages mailbox. See:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1790039&#1790039
Report what you find, and whether you can resolve with Rebuild, back in this Topic. There is a script that can be used to split such a mailbox, but easier if you can do without.
