Cannot change old itunes username on iPhone

Hello. I have an iPhone 4, two separate iTunes account logins, all on one computer. When I try to update or add new Apps on the iphone the iTunes screen pops up asking for the password as expected. However, the login name that shows is for an older itunes login that is no longer used. I've checked the Settings-Store info and the CORRECT itunes account shows there. I've done a complete Restore through iTunes (not using a backup) and it still showed up after the restore. I've tried logging in with the correct iTunes account through iTunes, then syncing...still there. I've tried logging out and back in with the correct account...and the incorrect older account login still pops up when trying to add or update Apps. Is their anything I'm missing here?

you may need to authorize your computer with the new account? just a suggestion.

There is no way to transfer the music from one device to the other without using iTunes. Have you tried to recover your ID and password?

Make sure you go into "Settings" on iphone and update things that need updated info, like icloud. Turn your iPhone off and on. Beyond that, good luck. I had to go into Apple store 40 mins away from me, they still didnt fix.

More than likely its your router. You need to make sure that the router's firewall, if enabled(most are by default), permits connection to these domains as trusted:

If it's an old account which you'd updated with a new email address then try logging out of it on the iPad (and iPhone) by tapping on the id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad (and iPhone). If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

I just installed the new version of itunes. Now I when I try to open itunes, it says that the new itunes cannot access the itunes library because it was created with an older version of itunes. PLEASE HELP I need to find a way to open my itunes!

New iPhone 4S (iOS 5) displays "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" message when trying to download an app using wifi or cellular network.
It will install apps by connecting to computer and syncing with iTunes.
iPhone able to view App Store, iTunes Store, Apple ID site etc.
Another new iPhone in the same household can download from the iTunes Store via wifi.
Tried restarting iPhone, manually closing all apps, signing out of Store (in Settings).
Any other ideas on how to restore iTunes Store functionality?

Cannot update apps getting error "cannot connect to itunes store." iphone 4

So for 2 months I have not been able to update any of my apps due to the error code "cannot connect to itunes store. I can download new apps, buy music, itunes works fine but I cannot update anything. I have tried resetting, logging in and out of id, turning wifi on and off. Pretty much everything that a not so technical person can do. I have read numerous posts about this on going issue that seems a lot of people are having but no solution yet. Can someone please help me? Many thanks for any information offered up.

I connected my IPHONE 4 via USB and went into ITUNES through my IMAC and some how it fixed the problem. I'm now able to get to the ITUNES Store. I hope you find a fix your problem. Miss Kayo
