Cannot change sound for incoming message?

I can change the default sound for outgoing messages, and can set the sound for incoming messages, but iMessage seems to ignore what I set for incoming messages and always plays the default. Can anyone confirm?

Your symptoms make it sound like the iPhone side switch is set to silent mode.

iPhone: Toggle the Ring/Silent switch on the side of the device.

How to activate change pointers for HRMD_A message

Hi all,
I want to activate change pointers for HRMD_A message for intotypes 0001, 0002, 0006.... .
But I can't find any change object which I could use in BD52 transaction.
Is there any delivered change object by SAP for HRMD_A message?
Could you please tell me which change object should be used for example for infotype 0001?

No sound for incoming and outgoing mail

I have a Macbook Pro Retina with the latest OS. I can't get sounds to work for incoming and outgoing mail. Can anyone tell me how to correct this? On my old computer I used to get a ting sound for incoming mail and a whoosh sound for outgoing mail.

I noticed I actually was not getting all of my mail sounds either, I recently wiped my HD and reimported my account and found my mail was all messed up, so I backed up all my mail, deleted all of the accounts and then set them back up and all sounds are back.
Try creating a second account on your device and see if the sounds work in mail there?

This would appear to be similar to a problem I had - but in my case I wanted fields at the bottom of the very last page only.
The solution is to place the fields you require on the master page and then remove them via scripting (on the master page) from the pages where they are not required.
This post below should contain the details you need - just adapt the script so that it makes the fields invisible on page 1.

This is an annoying problem for many people. Most likely your dock connector (on the bottom where you plug in your phone) is dirty or screwed up and is probably just coincidence that it happened after you updated. Some people have had success cleaning the port with a dry clean tooth brush. There is a long discussion going on at the thread I linked below. Good luck...

I just got my new blackberry 8120, and i'm wondering if there is any way to make a message sound when i have an incoming message either text or email. I've looked through the guide and looked online and no one seems to have an answer for me. Just wondering if its possible and if so how i could do it.

You have a lot of sounds can be used, simply go to menu, profiles, scroll down to advanced, normal or which one is active, and you have the option to change the sound in each application.

How can I change the icon for incoming messages on iChat?

I already changed the icon for the ichat app, but whenever i get a new message it reverts back to the original icon with a number on the corner. I have an icon for the alternating messages i just don't know how to change it. HELP?!

It's a long time since I changed an Icon on anything on my computer.
The icon for the App is stored in the App and there are two ways to change it.
You can do a Get Info (CMD and i Keys together) on the app itself and then Paste a new icon to the top field.
The other way is to edit/change the icns file in the App itself.
Right/Control Click the app and choose Show Package Contents.
Open the Contents folder then Resources and the iChat.icns file is in there
I am presuming that if you use the first method - the bit that puts the Red area with the number in it uses something else (possibly the icns file)
I cannot find any "supply" of the red numbers. In fact I use Chax (An iChat Add-On) that changes this to the first part of the first IM that is not read - which suggests the red area is the important bit.
If you do try to edit the .icns file I would save the Original first.

Problem changing sounds for apps

I have an iPhone 5 with ios 7.0.4. In sound settings, I've selected specific sounds for specific apps (Twitter, Facebook, etc). However, incoming alerts for these apps are not using the selected sounds, they are still using the default. What am I missing?

OS X Lion Mail change font of incoming messages?

I'm setting up a new mac for a family member who has a bit of a problem viewing the incoming font for new messages, though everything else on the mac is fine with its current resolution and settings, its just they would like to change the Messages Font to size 18.
This is not for composing, or the message list view, but the actual Email itself.
Any ideas?

On my machine it adjusts the font for the text in the body of the message, at least for the several I experimented with.
I can imagine, however, that certain messages (e.g., HTML email) might force a non-default font.
In any case, you can adjust the font size of any message with command= and command- . Or you can add a font-sizing button to the toolbar via "Customize toolbar..." in the View menu.

I got my Z1 two days ago and is beginning to get use to it. (very nice phone)
However
There are one thing i miss from my iPhone and that is different notification sounds
Is it possible to use a sound for SMS/MMS and another for email and another other things?

You can have diffenerent SMS tones to other notifications without extra apps.
To change just the SMS tone goto the SMS (messaging) app, press the 3 dots in the top right and select settings. Select the Notification Tone menu item to change the message tone.
You can change the other notifications tone by going to the Settings icon in the main menu and going to Notifications within Sounds.
