Cannot change theme

I cannot change the theme in keynote ver 6.2(1861)
I have created a new presentation, choose a theme. Then I try to change theme, pick the new theme and nothing happens, it just says the name of the old existing theme...?

I don't know if you are still having this problem but I may have a solution. I was having this problem too. I just upgraded to iLife '09 and wanted to try a new them in iWeb '09 but after selecting a theme nothing happened. I had purchased a theme a while ago from a third party website and noticed that it wasn't in iWeb '09's list of themes to choose from. Thinking that could be the problem, I reinstalled the third party theme and now it's in the list and now I can switch back and forth between all of the themes.

Inbox (From) and Sent (To) suddenly I can't change them

Once upon a time, not so long ago, I could have my inbox columns set as: From, Subject, Date Sent, and Attachments. At the same time I could have all the other folders set to: To, Subject, Date Sent, and Attachments. Now, suddenly I cannot keep them different. Any ideas?

You’re confused. Mail stores column view settings globally for all the mailboxes. You cannot change them for one mailbox without also affecting the rest, except Mail allows you to have slightly different From/To and Date Sent/Date Received settings for Sent. All the other mailboxes are shown like Inbox, regardless of whether they contain received or sent messages. Only whether mail is organized by thread can be set independently for each mailbox.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I can see my photos but cannot move them anywhere or do anything with them

I transferred photos as I have always done from my digital camera to Iphoto. After transferring the photos I deleted them from my camera. I can see the photos in Iphoto but I cannot move them anywhere, I cannot download them e.g. to send with an email, I cannot change them in any way, I cannot delete them.
I thought I had done something wrong so I shot two more photos and put them onto my laptop exactly as before. These photos are fine and can be moved around as always. What now???

That was a great help. Thank you so much. I could open "Show original file" on approx. half of the photos (there were 49 in all). I have been able to save those to my desktop. They were not copied and are now no longer in the original file.
But it gets even stranger. When I right click on the others (20 in all) "Show original file" is not active and when I click on show file they are not in there. These I can not move in any folder whether "all photos" or events so are still lost to me at the moment. All the photos were taken from my camera at the same time. Do you have any more wonderful ideas?... Glinda11

I have multiple devices with the same cerificate, once I have a an exception for one, FF denys access to the others. I cannot change the certificates, I need to stop FF blocking them.

Photo Stream does not "backup" your photos, you have to do that yourself on iTunes, BUT if you have the iCloud app for your PC/Mac installed, your photos will be on there

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to put everything on the new computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipad- without syncing : File>Transfer Purchases
In some countries you can redownload some itunes content.

Cannot Change Gnome Theme Anymore

Hello,
I installed a theme and ran it and it was fine. I tried to return to the default but that did not work. I tried to run another theme and it didn't work either. I am not stuck with this theme and I want to change it. I installed the extension user-theme to use it. What is the problem?
I have 3.6.2 Gnome

Have you done your homework?
Run DU, check/repair HD and permissions.
If that does not work, move following .plists to desktop; let system create new plists
try this one first:
com.apple.desktop.plist
reboot and see if this fixes it.
if not then move this one to desktop and repeat
com.apple.desktopscreensaver.rsspictures.plist
report back here with results.

Having transferred songs from my old mac to my new Macbook I cannot authorise them because my old Apple ID is an obsolete email account. I cannot retrieve messages from it so cannot change password.
