Cannot change vi back to edit mode.

Hello,
I saved a vi so that when it was opened it would come up in run mode using "vi properties", "protection", "locked" but when I open the vi it will not let change it back to edit mode (ctrl-m is grayed out).  Any assistance would be appreciated.  THANKYOU!

Sorry not sure how to attach the file.  Using LabVIEW 2009 and it has several sub vi's.
We don't care about the subVIs. Just attach the one giving you problems. There is a button to attach files below the field where you compose a reply.

  • Getting changed data back from editable ALV...

    Hello Gurus,
    I am working on ALV using standard ALV function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY. Now, To make the fields editale, I am using flag EDIT = 'X' in field catalog. This working fine.
    Now, when the data is changed in ALV grid and user clicks on SAVE button that I have programmed in i_callback_usercommand, how can I get the changed data back from editable ALV so that I can change data in custom table ?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Rajesh.

    I see that the method CHECK_CHANGED_DATA is used. I am also doing it as follows. But how do I get the changed data back in table. There are no table parameters in
    CALL METHOD REF_GRID->CHECK_CHANGED_DATA .
    DATA: REF_GRID TYPE REF TO CL_GUI_ALV_GRID.
    IF REF_GRID IS INITIAL.
    CALL FUNCTION 'GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR'
    IMPORTING
    E_GRID = REF_GRID.
    ENDIF.
    IF NOT REF_GRID IS INITIAL.
    CALL METHOD REF_GRID->CHECK_CHANGED_DATA .
    ENDIF.
    Please guide

  • Cannot open VI file in edit mode.

    I cannot open a VI project that I was working on. Every time I try to open the file it gives me a message that "not enough memory to complete this operation".
    This is a large project and I need to be able to access the block diagram.
    This happens when I try to open it in edit mode.
    Thanks.

    Minguccio,
    I've done some poking around and may have found some useful information. This error will ocurr if you have too many (and I mean a ton) of controls on the front panel. I haven't heard of this error since LabVIEW 5.1 though and we've upgraded the number of controls you can have on your front panel since then. However, try deleting some controls from your front panel to see if this helps out.
    My investigation also lead me to tcp errors. Are you using tcp\ip anywhere in your programming? I found this discussion that may help out if that's the case.
    Let us know what you find.

  • Changing BEx Query in EDIT mode in production environment

    Hello,
    In our BI Production system, the BEx queries can not be opened in edit mode.
    I have to change the query in production.But the same qury in developement is quite different.
    So instead of changing the query in dev and transporting it to quality and prd, i want to directly edit the query in PRD.
    Is there any way i can change the query in production directly?
    If so, what are the steps to be followed?
    Also, can we copy the query in Prd environment into developement environment?

    Hi ,
    please visit this link your answer is might  there,
    [want to transport object from production to dev server]
    Transporting from Production to Development is definitely not "Best Practice". For exceptions this is OK, but I can't recommend to do this on a regular basis. Because in the end you will turn your production system into a development box and create potential circular references:
    DEV -> QA -> PROD -> DEV
    for details about transport system please see

  • My mac updated, now top site page has changed and is in edit mode constantly-help?

    When I restarted my mac after a scheduled update, the top site page still had all my saved sites on it but it was much bigger and the style and background have all changed. It also appears to be in edit mode and I can't see an edit button (like usual) to switch the mode off. The little cross and pin button is on each of the site icons and won't go away...Not techy enough to know how to fix this   Would appreciate any help!

  • 9800 home screen went really dark and cannot change it back to bright screen

    it seems I have pressed something when my phone was in my pocket that caused my home screen with all my icons to go to a very dark screen
    the screen goes bright if I touch the "search" icon on the top right, but then I cannot access the apps
    if I touch the search function again the bright screen disappears and I have access to all the features on the phone
    I have tried "reset" in the options menu; I have tried adjusting the "backlight" function to no avail
    I used to be able to touch the notification bar across the top to access all emails and facebook but now it is hidden behind the search function bar

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

  • Safari 5.0.6 opens in landscape always on one profile . how can I change this back to portrait mode . Thank you .

    Frustrated in that I am unable to reset Safari to open in portrait mode in my profile (Admin) . It continually opens in landscape . Other 2 profiles on the iMac open always in portrait mode . Have tried resetting Safari , reviewed Safari Preference & System Preferences but can't find the option . Please help a frustrated nerd .

    Not sure what you mean by portrait and landscape. Are you referring to full screen mode by chance?
    Click View from the Safari menu bar top of your screen. From the drop down menu you can click Enter or Exit Full Screen.
    With Safari open, Command + , (comma) opens Safari Preferences. Or from your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences.
    There aren't any options for full screen mode in Safari > Preferences... only from the menu bar, (View).
