Cannot Click "Accept" Adobe Flash Settings

When your webcam settings box wont let you click accept, try the following, this is now working for me:
1). Go to the Adobe Flash Settings Manager Link:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager06.htm l
2). Left Click the Website Privacy Settings panel
3). If you see the site you are having trouble with click "Always Accept"
4). Do the same thing for "Local" and click Always Accept
5). Close your browser and come back in. It should stop prompting you for permission and just work automatically now for the site(s) you specified
Happy Camming! =)

thanks for posting your work around.  i'm sure people who encounter the same issue will find it useful.  alternatively, you may be able to change the settings while in fullscreen.  switch a video into fullscreen (eg. youtube.com) and right-click the stage.  you should be able to interact with the settingsui...

I just tried the link and it is just fine. If the GateKeeper pops up then open Security & Privacy preferences, click on the General tab, set the last radio button to Anywhere.

  • Why am I having difficulty streaming movies know and there is also a pop up Adobe Flash Settings that comes up from the person s who have the web site

Why am I know having such difficulty streaming movies, it constantly stopping to upload,, pretty frustrating. There a also  pop ups that have started to come up "  Adobe Flash Settings "Some go away when I click deny, others I need to leave the site because deny won't shut it.

Blacklist the site. The Flash popups are probably attempts to download malware.
Do not get Flash from anywhere other than Adobe themselves.

Go to the App Store and download a browser app like Puffin, which will give you some Flash ability.  Check the App store to see if the site you are trying to watch the video from has an App.

How do I install recommended updates, when I click on adobe flash plugin update now buttons, I hit a dead end on oracle's website, how do I complete the update?

First, grab the Adobe uninstaller from here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
Then download Flash 10.3.183.90 from here - about halfway down the page:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
    (Released 6/11/2013) Flash Player 10.3.183.90 (61.1 MB)
IMO, the best version of Flash for WinXP. Adobe kept up with security updates for 10.3 for WinXP users long after Flash 11.0 came out in 2011 for Vista and newer versions of Windows.
Run the uninstaller, then reboot your operating system.
Then you can run the Flash installer, with Firefox closed, of course.
''Note, if you still use IE you'll need to reinstall the ActiveX version of Flash for IE. That uninstaller removes all versions of Flash that might be installed,''

  • Flex 2-15: Adobe Flash settings crash every time.

I have a brand spankin new Flex 2-15, there's one problem.  When I try to go into the Adobe Flash Settings using any browser (Chrome, FireFoxl, or IE) I immediately get a window telling me that Adobe Flash has crashed.  I send off the error report, and try again.  Same result.
All I really want to do is switch from the built in camera to my external camera.
I have done the following to try to troubleshoot this problem:
    1)  Uninstalled Flash from FireFox, rebooted computer, downloaded and installed Flash for Firefox v15.0.0.183.  Tried to enter Flash Settings, Flash crashed.
    2)  Checked for updates to Graphiocs adapter driver.  windows found Intel display adapter v 10.18.10.3907.  Installed that.
Rebooted computer, tried to enter Flash settings, flash crashed.
    3)  turned off the PepperFlash in Chrome, couldn't access website without having Flash enabled.. (I thought we could at one time have both PetterFlash and separate copy of Flash on Chrome, and we turned off PepperFlash if there were problems.  Guess that's not the case as I can't find a copy of Flash for Chrome any longer.)
    4)  Flash on IE is like Flash on Chrome It's now pre-installed., Tried to enter Flash Settings from IE, and Flash Crashed.
In short Flash crashes whenever I try to enter Flash settings from any website. updating the graphics controller didn't help and re-installing Flash didn't cbange anything
Anybody have any suggestions.  This is getting really annoying.
    Thanks Guys

  • Adobe Flash Settings Issue

    Hello,
I am having the issue with the flash settings, where you cannot click on Allow.  I am running OSX Lion, the latest adobe flash (10.3.183.7)
I have added the website to the Local Storage Settings by Site options, with Allow.  When the space reaches 99kb, the issue comes up asking me to allow more space, but i am unable to click on it.  The only way around it is to go back into the storage settings, change to deny, then back to allow, which seems to clear all the storage.  then i can relaunch the browser and be able to get 1 page further in the book before i am prompted again.
Is there an actual resolution to this?  I've tried suggested resolutions of updating to the latest flash player, which supposedly addressed this bug.  Evidently not.  I also manually added the website to the Local Storage Settings by Site option, which was supposed to resolve this as well, but it didnt.
As of now I am stuck, and unable to read a book for class, which is obviously a critical issue.
    thanks.
    Ian

    Hi Ian,
Could you try the workaround steps that I've posted in this thread?

  • Cannot un-install Adobe Flash player.

I apologize if this has been addressed before but for the life of me I cannot un-install the flash player.
The reason for the un-installation is because the flash player stopped was not working a few weeks back. After numerous internet searches most advice was to un-install flash then re-install. (easier said than done)
For reference: Win XP Pro SP3, using Chrome and FF as browsers.
I downloaded Adobe's flash uninstaller and have run it several times back to back (shutting down and re-starting) with absolutely nothing else running.
My next step is to go to Adobe's web page to verify if Flash is installed and it always comes up with the latest version (10,1,103,20)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Paul

Hi, thanks for the info. You don't have Flash Player Installed for FF or IE. Chrome is ok, nothing is needed for you to do with it.
    Go to this site: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Use IE and right click on the one for Windows, Internet Exlorer and RIGHT click on Download EXE Installer, click on Open in New Window and click SAVE and save it to your Desktop.
Then right click on the one for Windows, plugin based browsers and RIGHT click on Download EXE Installer and do the same thing.
Now you have the Flash Player Installer for IE and FF on your Desktop.
At this time, Close all browser windows. Look in your system tray(area near the clock) and if you have any messenger services, such as MSN, Yahoo, etc, then Disable them.
Make sure you use the Administrator Account for Installing Flash Player.
Run the Installer for IE, when it is finished, the Run the Installer for FF. When finished, Reboot(restart) your Computer.
Now go back to the Flash folder and post back all files for IE and FF(NPSWF) Follow my instructions for obtaining this info in my previous post.
Then check for the addons for IE & FF (per previous post)
You may want to print out any instructions to make it easier to follow.
If you have any questions, let me know. I will be on and off the forum today doing Christmas things:-)
    Thanks,

  • I cannot install newest Adobe Flash on WinXP... please HELP???

Here's the freagin' deal. Simply put...
I need the newest version of Adobe Flash (10.1 I think?) to be able to run Media Go (which I've been running for a long time w/ no problems) so that I can access my account on the PSN to then be able to transfer games (among many many other things) onto my PSP.
As I stated above, I've been running the Media Go program on my cpu for a long time now with no issues whatsoever.  But now, Media Go recently asked/required me to download the newest Adobe FLash player in order to simply be able to start up Media Go at the very least.
Then, when I go to download the newest Flash, it comes up with an error message that I've also seen a lot of others run into... "the ActiveX control for Adobe Flash Player could not be registered" ... bla bla bla ...
And oddly enough, this only when I download and install using the Internet Explorer 8 browser.  If I use my Google Chrome browser, it says that I don't need to install it because apparently it is already there and already up to date?!
So, after sitting and thinking for a bit, I then tried everything under the sun to help me, including going through pretty much every trouble-shooting step process provided by this very website.
I've tried downloading the newer beta
-checking to see if I have admin permission
-checking my Internet Explorer version, which says, "Cypher strength: 128 bit," despite it saying I have to have the 32 bit version???
    -uninstalling the old version
    - etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
I do have Windows XP Media Center Edition, and that might a/the the problem... but I'm not sure?  I basically went through all of the trouble-shooting requirements, checking to make sure my cpu matches what the requirements say that I have to have in order for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 to run/download/install.
To be completely honest, my current knowledge of computers isn't that great at all (I'm horrible... it's pretty bad).  I really don't know how to do a lot of things without having instructions in front of me... and even then I still screw up.  In turn, I am all out of options!  I really need help!  And I really REALLY need to be able to run Media Go so that I can access all 100 or so of my PSN downloaded games.  Because without being able to run Media Go, my games are essentially impossible for me to access... and that's a lot of my money that I'm not using and or taking advantage of (although I guess I can still try using my friend's CPU ??)!  There are even quite a few new games I've recently downloaded that I haven't transfered to my PS yet... new games I can't get at and therefore cannot play!
Anyways, you get the gist.  Sorry for my rambling... I'm just extremely frustrated due to the fact that this should be a very simple and easy process that usually takes what, all but a few minutes to update?!?!
Can anyone with the knowledge and know-how (way WAY far beyond what I know) lead me to success, or at the very least send me on the right path?  Thanx to anyone in advance willing to try to help me.      I can easily state that I will indeed greatly appreciate it!!

  • Flash Installer cannot download. "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed."

Flash Installer cannot download. Finally get the message,  "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed." I already uninstalled the old copy, now I have no Flash Player.

My issue was identical.... days of frustrating downloads and initializing but no installation........ UNTIL I chose to not use the default installer and chose 'Save File'. Now I have the latest Flash installed in OS 10.8.5 no problems !!
This time a long download of 16MB arrived in the downloads folder that actually worked.
Prior to this, all downloads were around 1.6MB and there was no .dmg in the package.
I got my download under where it says "Still having problems?"
    Hope this helps you.

  • Cannot download new adobe flash player upgrade

I just tried to download the newest Adobe Flash Player Upgrade by going to the Adobe website. The Adobe Flash Player Installer appeared in my downloads file. But when I double click it I get a Mac warning window opens that says "Can't be opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store." When I go to the Mac App store and search for Adobe Flash Player, it doesn't exist there. How do I get it or is there another way to be able to watch video on the internet especially from sites like you tube and vimeo, but also sometimes on other sites. Do I have to keep the older version indefinitly and risk not getting security updates?

System Preferences > Security & Privacy
Unlock the lock, if you have to.
        Allow apps downloaded from:
Select “Mac App store and identified developers”.
        Quit System Preferences and try.

Firefox must not be open when the Flash installer is run. Use the following information and instructions.....
There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash:
*an '''ActiveX version''' for IE only
*a '''Plugin version''' for most other browsers including Firefox
*On a Windows system, you should always update both individually.
'''''You do not appear to have the Plugin version for Firefox installed. ''''' If you did, in Add-ons > Plugins you would see "Shockwave Flash ''(version)''". If "Shockwave Flash" is there and is disabled, click the "Enable" button.
