Cannot click on certain parts of websites such has ( yes/no buttons, search boxs

For instance when i change my default search engine to firefox it asked me if i wanted to help them by sending anonymous info about performance and there where 2 buttons to click on 1 yes and no i placed my cursor over button yes and left clicked nothing happened, i then tried a few more websites and it refused to click again on some parts, i tried chrome and everthing works OK but i would rather use firefox this only started happening to me last 3 weeks. hope i have explained this clearly

Recently both the Yahoo! Toolbar extension and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause an issue like that. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

  • Unable to click on certain parts of websites

I have no problem accessing the internet, accessing websites, logging in. but certain ones I go to certain parts to access let's say the login, it doesn't come up as a clickable part of the webpage. Is is a setting on my phone that causes this?

    # Question

Try closing the App Store app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with App Store 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Cannot click on certain area of the screen

I'm not sure if this is a display or a mouse issue. I have had my 24" iMac since June and have just started having this issue. I cannot click (left or right mouse button) on one specific part of the screen. I can click on links and buttons, form boxes, bring up the contextual menu (right click) or do pretty much anything you do with the mouse on most of the screen. However in this approximately half inch high and a few inches long area just above the middle of the screen on the left hand side there is no response from computer when clicking with the mouse. I can click on a link in the browser above this space and below it but not on the link in it. If I move the browser window so that same link appears in a different part of the screen I can click on it fine and cannot click on the link now in the affected area.
This is the same for any clickable item placed in this area of the screen. Is this a display or a mouse issue?

If you have an external drive that can be erased, you could try installing a new system there and setting the Mac to boot from it. That will determine if it is related to the current system installation, or if it is more likely to be a hardware problem. You can obviously also back up your data, erase your internal drive, and reinstall a new system there.
Alternately, as a test, you can just startup from your Mac OS X installation disc. At the first installer screen, go up to the menu bar. Under Utilities, run Disk Utility. Move the Disk Utility window around the screen as needed to see of the same problem exists while booted from a different system. If it happens there, then it is more likely to be some odd hardware-related issue. If it does not, it is possible a fresh system installation will resolve the problem.

  • I cannot click the direct links for websites. Cache and indirect links work fine.

In any search engine, I cannot click the direct links to be websites. I was having this issue with IE also, but through their support system I found if I run "regsvr32 urlmon.dll" that it solved the issue for IE but not Firefox.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br />

  • I can't click on some videos on websites such as YouTube

Whenever I am on a website where I want to watch a video such as YouTube, I can't always click on the video. The video displays and works properly, but when I click on play it doesn't register the click. I have to right click and then left click for it to register the click at all. Some websites this does not happen, such as Vimeo, where everything works normally.
== URL of affected sites ==
    www.youtube.com

I think I have the same problem. All the Youtube video flash UI is shown, but when I try to click the play or any other button it doesn't work. I have to click several times to get it to work. If I try to set the volume, when I manage to click the button several times, if I move the mouse to try adjust the slider, the control gets hidden again.
    Very annoying!

  • Can't load certain part of website with Safari or Firefox

Hi, I am having trouble loading certain part of this website:
    http://stat.fundservice.net/index/index.html
I get a "?" in a box in Safari and blank in Firefox.
Can somebody help me with this?
    Thanks in advance.

It seems like this site is using ActiveX controls, which is a proprietary piece of software invented and solely used by Microsoft's Internet Explorer.
If this site weren't in Korean, I'd suggest sending the webmaster a quick little email, telling them about the one out of four people not using IE.

  • When using Google Toolbar, and I begin entering a search term, several complete choices appear, but when I click on one of them, autocomplete does not fill in the search box.

Why does the complete suggested search term not appear in the search box when I click on it?

Probably caused by search redirect Malware.
Install, update, and run these programs in this order. They are listed in order of efficacy.<br />'''''(Not all programs detect the same Malware, so you may need to run them all to solve your problem.)''''' <br />These programs are all free for personal use, but some have limited functionality in the "free mode" - but those are features you really don't need to find and remove the problem that you have.<br />

  • I cannot click on tabs in any website, do you know why? I can do it when using Internet Explorer but not firefox.

I have used Mozilla Firefox for years, but all of a sudden I cannot put my curser over a tabs on any website and click on it. What I mean is the top of the websites have words you can click on to go to other pages or in the email system it has tab buttons that allow you look at your inbox or close or save draft, it doesn't allow the curser to click on it. I can go to the tool bar put my curser in that and use the tab button on the key board to tab over to each word or link and then click enter and it will then go to that next page.

  • I cannot click on any part of a YouTube video

When I play a video, it plays fine, but I can't play/pause, click on the video area of the screen (such as annotation, captions, replay after the video is done, etc...). This also causes my exit button (the "X" button at the top right of the Firefox window) to not function, as in it's unclick-able.
This is on windows 7, installed on a Macbook using boot camp.

  • Cannot click on certain buttons on Facebook to make comments or send messages

whenever I sign in to facebook I cannot respond to questions or comment on certain posts. It does not show me the sign out button as well. I think maybe it has to do with upgrading from windows 5.0 which I have yet to get info on how to get Win6.

It could be that. We released WM 6.0 upgrade about 2 or 3 years ago. This update is no longer available for download on palm.com.

  • I cannot click on 'reply' on a website where you can post comments. I try to reply to someone elses post, it jumps back to the top of the site!

I have 'Yahoo' as my home page, and from there I see articles which I usually like to respond to and make comments. That I can do quite easily, but if I try to post a reply to someone else's comment, the page jumps back to the top and the 'reply' option does not open for me to post my comment. This does not happen all the time, but it is happening quite often now. I have RESET my Firefox browser thinking that was the problem, but it still persists.
    Thank you for your help.

The first thing you can try is to clear the cache and cookies.
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.

  • Can you grey out/lock a certain part of a form you created after a check box has been selected?

In Acrobat Pro 9 can I set up the form that I created to allow customers to select a check box and after they have selected the check box, the form will grey out/lock all of the information that they don't need to fill out and keep the rest of the information that needs to be filled out open?

You can do this through scripting (if you are a JavaScripter). Check out this article by Thom Parker on Conditional Execution: http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/conditional-execution

  • Can't left click on certain folders in iTunes

    WIndows 7, iTunes 10.5, iOS 5, iPhone 4
I cannot left click on certain folders in iTunes, such as Music, Movies, any of my Playlists, etc. If I left-click on them I see a red circle with a diagonal line through it. I have to right-click on it first, dismiss the pop-up window and I can access it fine.
This behavior is not exclusive - I can left click on some folders, like Apps, Ringtones, etc. Also I can left click elsewhere in iTunes like the menus at the top (File, Edit, View, etc.). I can also left-click elsewhere in Windows just fine.
    Any ideas

Having the same problem with a windows computer.I can only click with the right button on the top folders. The lower folders like playlist work perfectly. I uninstalled Itunes because it had gone through an update and thought that a line of code or directory was missing but the problem persisted.
I have had no poblems with any of my macs which are all new however, when I launched Itunes which had just been updated on those machines, my macbook pro froze.
