Cannot close apps

It has been many a times that i cannot close all the apps. Even if i close e.g an app say calendar then too it will show the circle which means it is opened.
If at all the calendar is closed then some other app will get opened say gallery or so.
When i try closing the apps from long pressing the menu key it simply doesn't close.
And when i try closing apps by third party task manangers like best taskman and ramblow pro it still doesn't close instead i get gallery and some apps issue discussed here.
The only rescue to my solution is reboot. Anybody had this problem? How to get rid of it? And why is this happening? Help anyone? Issue with 808.

Nope, i didn't try Close all apps. But i've downloaded it now. The problem come once in two weeks or you can say once in ten days. So i'll have to wait to see if the 'Close all apps' works or not.
As the memory card goes, i'll try without the memory card for few days and see. But i don't think so the memory card is in fault.
I didn't have any issues with the Panorama app. But maybe the issue is same with you and me? Just that you are having only with Panaroma app and i'm having with pre-built apps (gallery/calender/camera/etc.)

Double-tap on the Home button. You will see a preview of the app above the actual icon. Slide the preview up to kill it.

You don't press and hold them. Just swipe up.

Cannot close Freemind app

I have downloaded an ap called freemind. It won't close or quit. I want to delete it and cannot do that either. Please help. MY computer won't restart as it says the program is running dn i cannot delete it as it says it is in use. I don't want the program as i cannot close it. First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

You appear to have the VoiceOver Accesibility feature turned on.
Try triple clicking the Home button and then going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turning all the Accessibility feature off. If problem see:

When I open Pages, it opens all previous documents. But I cannot close them:if I try, the program crashes

Hello everyone.
Since middle february, Pages has not been working properly.
When I start the program, it opens by default a blank page. That was fine until recently. I would simply close it and open my desired document. But now I cannot close the blank document: if I do it, the program crashes.
I have bypassed the problem by simply minimizing the blank one and going along with my own documents... Unfortunately now the problem has increased, as it will not close any document.
Therefore when I start the program, it will re-open all the documents and it will crash all the time I try to close them.
Also, It will not let me save them or turn themm to PDF.
What can I do ?
I have also removed the previous software and I bought (again) Pages on the App Store last week... results: NONE!! it still won't work.

I was warned of your problem by Jerrold.
As I'm really besy this evening, I didn't read carefully the available message.
What you get is a Lion's feature named "Resume".
If you dislike me (as I do but I don't feel useful to rant against it) there are several ways to get rid of it.
(1) In theory, it's sufficient to uncheck a box in the General System PrefPane.
I wrote « in theory » because, at least in the French version this feature is broken.
(2) Some third party tools are delivered to rule the feature's behavior for each application.

On my machine, thanks to FastScripts, I attached a shortcut to this script.
So, when I press cmd +option + ctrl + Q I get this dialog :
On an English System, the buttons are :
Cancel, Restart, Shutdown.
When we trigger the last two, the folder storing the dats required by the system to apply « Resume » is emptied so when we restart the machine no extraneous window is opened.
I didn't described the way to reach the folder named Scripts.
I'm sur that Jerrold will do that with a better English.

What does the error say?
A couple of thoughts: the file is corrupted or is password-protected. Corruption is more likely to cause Numbers to crash & Numbers cannot open password-protected Excel files. Try using one of the free Office clones & see what happens.

How to close apps on iPhone 4

If Firefox is still running in memory, you can terminate it using the Windows Task Manager. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc. The Applications tab generally lists visible windows, so usually Firefox won't be listed there when you have this problem, but check that first anyway. The processes tab is where you may find firefox.exe. To shut it down, you can highlight that line and click End Process.

How do I close apps in IOS 8.02

I just upgraded from IOS 6 to 8.02 and cannot close out the apps I have opened for the day. Before the upgrade, all I had to do was double click on the bottom button, then hold my finger over the open apps. When a minus sign appeared, I was able to close them out. Now, when I double click, I get an entire screen of recent calls, e-mails, photos, etc. Cannot close out the apps at all.

Double-click the Home button, scroll sideways until you see the app you wish to quit, and then swipe it upward.

Severe motion sickness and can't close apps

Is it me or is anyone else's eyes bugging out with the new design or feeling like they are on a ship? I also noticed in the Facebook app when commenting with Surrey, the box is super skinny and you cannot see what was typed before you click the send button. I think I am done with Apple and going out and buying myself a new birthday present

Motion: Try Settings > General > Accesibility and turn on Reduce Motion
Close apps: Press twice the Home button, then swipe up the app page (not the icon) you want to close.
