Cannot close touchpad

I have a DV600t-6b00 CTO Quad Edition, and yesterday I installed a new Win7 x64 and deleted the one that came with the computer. After installing the drivers, all is right, except for the touch pad. Now I cannot close/open my touch pad by double-tapping the left-top corner (there's an icon). What should I install, or what should I do to make it operate as usual?

Well, it's not very sensitive at the default settings.
You may have to really double tap in the very top left corner.
Turn on the ON/OFF Feature:
Within the setttings, (and depending on your Version 7.4 or 7.5),
there is a toggle that turns this feature on/off.
Check to make sure your ON/OFF featuere is ON.

Click on the small "Settings Wheel" - the toggle for the on/off feature is there.
If you don't have either of these Versions, you may have to update the driver in
Control Panel > icon view > Device Manager > Mice and ... > Right-Click Synaptics > Update

Hello everyone.
Since middle february, Pages has not been working properly.
When I start the program, it opens by default a blank page. That was fine until recently. I would simply close it and open my desired document. But now I cannot close the blank document: if I do it, the program crashes.
I have bypassed the problem by simply minimizing the blank one and going along with my own documents... Unfortunately now the problem has increased, as it will not close any document.
Therefore when I start the program, it will re-open all the documents and it will crash all the time I try to close them.
Also, It will not let me save them or turn themm to PDF.
What can I do ?
I have also removed the previous software and I bought (again) Pages on the App Store last week... results: NONE!! it still won't work.

I was warned of your problem by Jerrold.
As I'm really besy this evening, I didn't read carefully the available message.
What you get is a Lion's feature named "Resume".
If you dislike me (as I do but I don't feel useful to rant against it) there are several ways to get rid of it.
(1) In theory, it's sufficient to uncheck a box in the General System PrefPane.
I wrote « in theory » because, at least in the French version this feature is broken.
(2) Some third party tools are delivered to rule the feature's behavior for each application.
Here are two free ones :

(3) As none of them apply on my French System, I designed a home made brute force tool.

On my machine, thanks to FastScripts, I attached a shortcut to this script.
So, when I press cmd +option + ctrl + Q I get this dialog :
On an English System, the buttons are :
Cancel, Restart, Shutdown.
When we trigger the last two, the folder storing the dats required by the system to apply « Resume » is emptied so when we restart the machine no extraneous window is opened.
I didn't described the way to reach the folder named Scripts.
I'm sur that Jerrold will do that with a better English.

I have the same problem and tested it in Safe Mode, and did the disable the add-ons thing. Everything went OK, even up to the last add-on. There wasn't a hint of the problem anymore, so I went back to regular use of FF (3.6.12) again. WELL, THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN!!! I agree with the person who said that your supposed troubleshooting is B.S. You blame the user instead of saying something useful like "OK, we heard you (and over two dozen others) and we know it's not your doing, and it's OUR PROBLEM, and we're going to look into it and figure out how to fix it, AND we'll get back to you when we do and tell you how to fix it too." THAT's the kind of answer we FF users want to hear, not some claptrap about how WE the users didn't try hard enough to fix it on our own!

Hp laserjet professional 1100w. cannot close paper tray. paper-stop not movable?

I managed to install and print but cannot close the paper tray. There is a little paper-stop that prevents the paper tray from closing. Seems like it should be able to fold under or something.

After my son updated his 5s iphone to i0S 8, he cannot close out any programs open, which is eating up data when not connected to wifi. He rebooted and it still will not close them out. Has anyone else had this problem?

Well he is doing the same he has done in the past. Double tap home and swipe them up. When he double taps home now, it does nothing.

Please specify exactly when you get this white popup screen. While opening a PDF or launching Acrobat by double-clicking on the Acrobat icon.
If it comes when opening a PDF, then where is this PDF actually stored?
Let me know more on the same so that I can analyze the issue.

If Firefox is still running in memory, you can terminate it using the Windows Task Manager. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc. The Applications tab generally lists visible windows, so usually Firefox won't be listed there when you have this problem, but check that first anyway. The processes tab is where you may find firefox.exe. To shut it down, you can highlight that line and click End Process.

Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue. It did not help. Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit". That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone. Thanks!

Quit Mail, Trash this file...
Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...

That is because when you close the mac, it will go to sleep. I found a work around in this thread, but it involves buying an external monitor:
"Yes it's possible but only if you attach an externalmonitor, keyboard and mouse so this might defeat the object. It's called'Clamshell Mode', once the externals are connected you close the lid and put itto sleep then touch the external keyboard to wake it again."

Finance cannot close production order due to some PO# error message

When user is trying to close production order(using tcode CO02) getting error "..Production order #: Purchse order still exists..".
I would like to know what is the reson for this error and how user can close this production order.

Vijay actually basic problem is user is getting error "You cannot select assembly order 16600192 for deletion" when he is trying to delete one line item from sales order using tcode VA02...
-i said to close the production order
-but they said not able to close as they are getting error "purchase order still exists"
-said to close all purchase order
-they replied "We cannot close the open orders as some we are waiting for the materials to be arrived and some order are blanket orders. Why we don't have such problem all this while and now ? This is our common practise.

Cannot close Production Order due to cost

Hi experts,
I have a problem with a production order that I cannot close. I have confirmed the order, however instead of cancelling the confirmation, I used MIGO inorder to reverse the goods movement. In closing the order, I encountered an error due to the balance cost for production (labor, power, water, overhead). I cannot cancel the confirmation since it is returning an error which is a deficit in the quantity. This is maybe due to the reversals I have already made for the finished good and components using MIGO. I cannot already repost or cancel the goods movement since the period is already closed.
I really am hoping for your help regarding this so I may already close the order.

Since periods are already closed in MM, it is not
possible to post into these periods any more. There're two workarounds.
1. If you can close the orders with the balance, change the indicator
   in the settlement profile from 'To be settled in full' to 'Can be
   settled' or 'Not for settlement' temporarily. After you close the
   orders, change it back immediately.
2. Settle the order in KO88 twice with the following parameters:
   1) Settlement period    04
      Fiscal year          2009
      Posting period       06
   2) Settlement period    05
      Fiscal year          2005
      Posting period       06
You can check whether there's cost for the order in table COEP.

Cannot Close Tabs in Minefield That's Running Flash

Just wanted to report a bug I've been noticing. I'm using Minefield (64-bit) prerelease 4.0b7pre and when I have a tab open that has 64-bit flash running in it, I cannot close the tab anymore. I need to close the entire browser instead. This is repeatable regardless of the websites I visit, e.g. Stormpulse.com, Weather.com, Youtube.com.

Press apple shift and delete
If that does not work try this:
click on Finder in the lower left corner.
Then, in the top left corner click on the word finder
Scroll down to "Secure Empty Trash"
This will delete any file that may be open.
