Cannot complete iCloud storage purchase

I have upgraded OS X Yosemite yesterday and trying to purchase necessary extra iCloud storage. However, when I enter my password it goes to complete purchase then returns to window asking me for password. I have just changed my password in case this would help but still doesn't work. Am now completely confused with Apple passwords and with Photos. Any suggestions?

    I had the same issue, Sent Email offering £7.99 for 25 GB. Then sent me an Email at 2.52AM saying I needed to update my payment method although they had just refunded to it. Then 7 hours later, I had tried to before work at 7AM and thought, "as it won't let me do that on my iphone, I'll do it at lunch." Sadly at 9:56 am UK time, They reduced my storage.
    Having Wasted an hour on the phone tonight, they first tried to explain that £7.99 is More than £0.79 times 12. Doh!
    That was followed with lots of being on hold and then being told "We can't go back, We Can't make a refund. We agree it was short notice and that we didn't do it well, there are lots of issues about this and also that we never offered you that (till the saw the email)" So no better off and now having to pay more for same service. That's pretty poor service all around. I have to upgrade as All my files, Backups and Emails are inoperative Till I do so.
    That's pretty bad for a company of this size, Guess they need some more bad press at the moment.

    You can cancel an iCloud storage upgrade but only within 15 days of buying:
    Apple seem to have made this as difficult as possible. You may be able to do this using http://expresslane.apple.com - Click on 'More products and services', then 'iCloud', 'Account and setup' then 'This topic is not listed'. Explain the situation in the box provided and wait for a response - include a phone number. However you may find you cannot proceed without entering a hardware serial number which is still eligible for AppleCare.
    In that event you will need to phone them directly, using the Apple Online Store number given at the bottom of this page. The first person you speak to may tell you to do it from the iCloud website but this is not possible. Politely insist on escalating the issue to a more senior person and eventually you should be able to get through to someone who can deal with this (you may have to wait for them to call you back) - you will be asked security questions and for part of your credit card number to identify yourself.
    Just for information, if it is more than 15 days since you purchased the storage you cannot cancel it for a refund; you can downgrade your plan as from your next renewal date. Please see

  • Cannot edit iCloud storage credit card

    I need to update the credit card info used to pay for my iCloud Storage and when I go in System Pref>iCloud>Manage>View Account  I log in and can see the credit card info but when I try and edit it and save I get an error saying my session timed out   This is impossible since I'm doing it as quickly as humanly possible.  There is also a red note at the top of the window saying "Your account has been accessed from a new computer or device, and you must verify your payment info ration before you can make purchases."
    We have numerous devices using this Apple ID and credit card so I don't know what "new device" they are talking about but they are still charging the old card for the Storage fee and the card is no longer valid!  How else am I supposed to "verify my payment information" if they won't let you edit the card info in the system???  Totally frustrating.

    NEVERMIND - I was finally able to do this by changing it in the iTunes Store.  I have no idea why they have an Edit field in the iCloud management if they don't allow you to change it...
    Anyway it's fixed!

    I don't have iPhones anymore - just one old 3GS. I have an email that they are going to charge me $20 for my storage plan. I go to the iCloud panel and select downgrade, but I can't complete it on either the iCloud panel on PC or through the phone. The "done" button is greyed out!

    Tried removing and re-installing, still no in-app purchase.
    Reset the iPad, still no in-app purchase.
    Unfortunately this app only enables certain features if the in-app purchase is made.

    Check your Restrictions in Settings. You may have inapp purchases blocked.
