Cannot Connect 6230i by Dku-2 Cable

I have Downloaded the latest version of the pc suite for nokia 6230i from the official site and when i try 2 connect my fone using dku-2 cable first an option of using the fone as storage device pops up in the fone which is rejected by me then the pc detects the new device and also claims the drivers are installed and is ready to use but in the connection manager the CONFIGURE option is not usable and an error stating FAILED TO DETECT AVAILABLE CONNECTION TYPES PLEASE REINSTALL PC SUITE appears
have tried innumerable times installing/uninstalling/ripairing pc suite in all in vain
i ue windows xp sp2 as os.
plese help me its really important for me

try running the repair instead of uninstall and change to another USB port in your PC (don't use hubs)

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
If using Wifi/Airport...
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...
208.67.222.222

(There may be better or faster DNS numbers in your area, but these should be a good test).

Trying to connect 7250i with DKU-2 cable

Title says it all.
Bought a DKU-2 cable yesterday, downloaded PC Suite and have been trying to connect ever since then.
It seems that this is a common problem, I get the USB error too.
So how do I resolve this?

You've got the wrong cable. 7250i uses the DKU-5 so DKU-2 doesn't work at all. I hope you can take it back to the store - did they tell you it would be compatible?
And when you get the DKU-5, you need to install its driver first as they are not included in PC Suite.

Msi z87 mpower cannot connect to the internet by cable

as the title says i cannot connect to the internet by the ethernet cable the wi-fi is great but no cable all the drivers are installed off both discs, some please help i really don't won't to take my new build apart again
ive tryed all these
connect the ethernet cable (disconnect wireless)
go to start typ CMD you will get command prompt.
typ "ipconfig /all" and look which ip adress you get from your modem/router, if its a 169 ip adress (apipi), then there could be something wrong with the cable. you need to get a 192 ip adress.
if you dont see a Ethernet connection at all, then go to device manager, and look if there is some unknown hardware over there. with exclamation mark. or if there is a network adapter with exclamation mark, then take the CD from the mainboard, and install the Ethernet driver.
If there is a Network adapter in Device manager, with red cross, then it means that its disabled, you need to enable it.

but with drivers of the both discs and msi live updater still nothing.

Did you already download and install the Killer driver from the MSI download page?
The drivers on the CD seem a little immature imo. The commandcenter kept crashing for me, Killer didn't work properly too etc.
Check all the drivers on the download page and if there is a newer one, install those instead of the CD one.

Nokia 130: Cannot connect to PC with USB cable

I recently bought a Nokia 130 and tried to connect it to my PC via USB cable, but the phone only displayed "Charging" instead of a menu to choose "Data Storage". Why was that? I felt like I was cheated.

6230i connection using DKU-2 cable

I have just purchased a DKU-2 cable and am trying to connect my 6230i to my laptop using Nokia PC Suite v6.5. When prompted I connect the phone using the cable and everything appears fine. I reject the "Use phone as data store device" and the laptop finds the new hardware, seems to find all the drivers and then tells me that it is ready to use. However the connection wizard doesn't move so I'm stuck on the Connect Cable screen with the "next" button disabled. I've trued reinstalling and repairing Nokia PC Suite, and tried various usb ports on the laptop but nothing works. Can anyone help?

Forgot to add that I am running Windows XP SP2 and Nokia PC Suite version 6.5

i have a nokia 6230i and a dku 2 cable, i have downloaded the latest version of pc suite and drivers.
everytime i connect my phone and accept to use the phone as data storage device, it gives the message data storage mode deactivated
i am using windows xp sp 2

data storage mode only gives you access to your phone's MMC/memorycard, so do you have memory card inserted into your phone ?
If you want to use PC Suite, you should not choose data storage mode, but default mode or what ever other alternative your 6230i is suggesting ?

Cannot connect via cable on Windows XP home SP2

Maybe you can assist me here.
I cannot connect via cable my N91 (4 gb hdd) to Windows XP Home SP2. I can however connect via cable to my work computer which has the OS Windows XP Pro sp2.
In both cases both OS's are up to date, I have updated the phone OS to v2.10.013 RM-43. I am using the most up to date drivers that is available on nokia.com as well as the current ed of PC Suite (6.82.22.0)
The following is the steps I followed in both cases starting with XP Pro
1. Installed Drivers
2. Installed PC Suite
3. When prompted by PC Suite connected Phone via cable to Computer, further install steps were required. No reboot required. PC Suite then picked up phone
XP Home
Followed steps 1 + 2 in the same order
3. Connected N91 to XP Home computer, after driver install activity rebooted computer as requested. Disconnected N91 On reboot to desktop, in PC Suite I clicked on Get connected. Select Cable connection when prompted attached cable to computer and then to phone, on the phone select PC Suite. .
At this point I get the hour glass and nothing happens, Next is ghosted. It has been like this for 20 mins.
I have uninstalled both the drivers and the software. For some reason the updater can connect to the phone.
Can you advise on what I can do.

Upgraded to Maverick. Now cannot connect to wifi. All my other devices will connect. Have rest wireless hot spot switch and cable modem. Other devices still connect but MacPro does not. MacPro wireless is self assigning an IP address blocking access.

If you follow this video you'll see how to delete your WiFi AP from the OS, this will allow you to select it again which I feel will correct your problem.

Connecting my N70 via DKU-5 cable!

i have been trying to connect my n70 through serial port via DKU-5 cable but couldnt do so. No com port num is assighned to my cable driver in device maneger>ports! my phone says enhancment not supported? wat should i do to connect it? I will be thankfull for ur consideration....thanks n advance.

The problem is that you should be using either CA-53 or DKU-2 with a N70.

HT3500 I cannot connect Macbook (OS 10.6.8) to Epson XP 400 wirelessly. It works when connected to a USB cable. Both printer and Mac are on the same network and Norton/symantic is OFF. The Epson will not show up in "add printer". is off.

New (Refurb) AE cannot connect to cable modem

I just got a refurb AE today from Apple and everything seems to work except that it cannot connect to m y cable mdoem (sees no connection). I am using the same cable modem and cable that I use for my Airport Extreme (unplugged power) and everything works fine on it, but not in the AE. Is there anything special in the setup? I have tried resetting to factory defaults and starting all over, but to no avail.
Also, does anybody know if I can take this back to an Apple store and trade it for a new unit (not refurb)? Or would I have to ship it back to Apple?

Nevermind, I got it working finally. I noticed somebody else's post about turning off the cable modem and then turning it back on, and this seemed to fix the issue. I guess when the modem saw a different device (AE) it did not connect to it. Now I have it setup for my trip next week with an iPad and will now go back to my Airport Extreme for home use.
