Cannot Connect , Cannot figure this out Please help
I have a Mac Book Pro 15 inch purchased in January 09. I have firewall turned on and added iChat as essential service. I can text chat but cannot get the video to work. I live on Maui. I have DSL. I did the speed test which came back as 3.1MB download and 376 upload. (ouch). I have changed the quicktime streaming speed to 1.5. I have changed the iChat bandwidth to 500 (more than my upload). I receive a connection error anytime I send or receive a video chat. Is the problem with the upload speed?

I have not nor know how to open the ports that iChat needs to route. (This may be the issue)

Thanks so much Meg. Unfortunately, iTunes is the program I use to perform syncing. I don't really have other outside options. It is also the location of the backup I would use to restore my phone, and my only way to reclaim important data. I am concerned that, since the last backup occurred when the "other" bar was only moderately huge (around 29G I think), that a backup would replicate the problem back onto my phone.
My contacts, etc. are all in address book and the calendar app on my Mac. As far as I know, iTunes is the way to get them back, but iTunes is where the problem is.
Any thoughts on this? -

It is retail disk, i bought it in apple store. I also resetter PRRAM and SMC and checked disk. I also tried clean installation and upgrade, nothing works, after run installation program after few seconds wrote: OS X Snow Leopard cannot be install on this machine :-(

I have had this problem today so i restored the iphone and it has synched the ipod portion but will not sync calenders, contacts , email accounts or bookmarks.
The restore erased all of these and now i cannot replace them.

Anyway, I wish I had made note of everything that the quick-and wonderful-Apple support did when I finally decided to give them a call today-after getting tired of not being able to update calendars and contacts and not seeing any helpful info here-unfortunately, I continue that legacy (as I can't remember everything I had to do to fix-sorry) Ultimately involves creating a new user I called mine IPHONE...then doing some of this and that-and finally merging info and going to "Terminal" and typing in some code...then deleting some of the old files, Took about twenty-minutes on the phone. Sorry I didn't think ahead for others and write al this down...but just know the Apple people were great. I talked to a gal for about ten minutes very methodically trouble-shooting. When nothing worked she shifted me over to a real nice guy who calmly and politely guided me through all the steps to fix this annoying problem. I hate to say it, but just get on the phone and-if you have the same experience as me-you will get 5 Star treatment and your sync will work like a dream. Every time I have to contact Apple Support (which isn't that often) my experience is nothing but the best. Unbelievable customer service! Methodical, Personable, and truly knowledgeable! There is a fix and it works like a dream. Not that hard but you'll need customer service to walk you through it-as I can't (sorry I can't be of much help...) Good luck!

Cannot connect to app store? PLEASE HELP!!! I NEED MY IPAD 2 FOR EVERYTHING
So here is the deal.
It won't let me sign in to my appple ID in settings- the password and username is right cos i just used it to sign in here. It says "cannot connect to app store"
I have fibre optic internet and 3G with full reception on both and i am able to go on safari and browse.
I need to update several apps and download some but it won't let me sign in to my apple ID thus not letting me access the store.
I have tried closing the apps, turning off wifi and 3G and turning them on, and restarting my ipad and setting my cookies. No progress.

Ok I need some clearing up and some help. This is a program that generates receipts for an art supply store which sells three items: a brush set; a set of oil paints; and a can of oil canvas primer. The program is able to process multiple orders. For each order placed, calculate the order and print a receipt itemizing each item @ cost, the tax, the Environmental Levy, and the total cost.
The cost of the items are:
1- Brush Set: $8.00
2- Set of Oil Paints: $40.00
3- Oil Canvas Primer: $18.75
4- Taxes: 14%
5-Environmental Levy: 2% on all oil based products (including the paint set and primer). Levy calculated on product cost only (i.e. calculate without tax).
The program should also keep track of the total numbers of each item ordered. Using these values, the user can, at any time, generate a receipt summarizing all orders placed up to that point. When the user enters the sentinel to quit the program, calculate and print one final receipt summarizing all of the orders that were placed. You should also calculate and print some receipt statistics: the average cost of the receipts and the smallest and largest receipts (in terms of cost).
Your program will make use of 2 static methods (in addition to the main() method): toCurrency() and createReceipt().
Ok the deal is that I have the input loops set up fine they all work, except for Total because nothing shows up! I dont know what to do for the output nor the calculations and where or what methods I have to use and how to call them up into Main. A couple of days ago, my I opened up my iMovie and it just goes into the blank screen. I am able to click on things like, "import" or "create" and it will take me into the next window, but when I choose an option, I receive a message that there is a problem, but they don't know what the problem is. It has been like this for the past couple of days. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app about 3 times and it still comes out the same. Please assist in any way possible!
Try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
When it's rebooted you can force a backup via Settings > iCLoud -

I have re-installed the TimesTen s/w quite a few times but in vain. It would be great if someone can throw light on this issue. Thanks in advance.

1. The output of the ttVersion command (to verify if access control is enabled).

2. The DSN settings for the datastore
DSN Name = timestest
charecter set =WE8MSWIN1252 same as in the databse.
Authenticate times ten client connection checked.
type mode = 0 oracle
3. The connect string you are using to connect to the store from ttIsql
Command> connect timestest;
Enter password for 'testuser':
7001: User authentication failed
