I cannot connect to AppStore and ITunes after software update to ios6 though I have high speed Internet connection. I am using ipad2. Please help.
Try a reset:
1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)
2. For about 10 seconds
3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)

Cannot connect to Appstore for updates or sign in
MBP early 2011
ML 10.8.1
can access all areas of Appstore except Updates - I get a "Cannot connect to Appstore" message
can sign in to iTunes
when I try to SIgn in to App Store I dont even get a login screen
have tried all kinds of fixes from the forums and Google search but no luck
Any ideas anyone?Talked with a senior engineer from Apple who resolved this issue for me. It involved re-setting the privilieges of a specific Certificate (in Keychain) to system defaults. I then had to Trash two files:
/var/db/crls/ocspcache.db
/var/db/crls/cricache.db
After re-starting, the problem was resolved.
Sorry, I don't have more details, but if you have this problem, you may want to call Apple and mention this procedure, which they have on file.
What caused this? No one seems to know. -
Yahoo mail server Cannot Connect :iphone 4 ios6
Hi it looks like a lot of problems with the BT YAHOO Mail on iphone
i can get all my BT Yahoo mail no problem on internet.
BUT now i cannot get any mail on my iphone using the mail App.
it worked perfect until i updated to ios6
ive tried
stmp.mail.yahoo.com
apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com
nothing works
IT SAYS "Cannot connect to the server"
Please some one help me solve this problem.
Kind RegardsI was also having lots of issues over the last two days, but found an easy fix...
1) Go to Settings
2) Mail, Contacts, Calendars
3) Choose your Yahoo account
4) Hit your Account name at the top
5) Check you password... my password was not right -- don't know if it was remembered as an old one or if it was just dorked up altogether, but I corrected it and now everything is fine.
Good luck -
Cannot connect to AppStore/iTunes
Hi,
I cannot connect to the AppStore and iTunes on my iPhone 3GS while using my WiFi connection, but can access these stores on Edge and 3G network. I have tried resetting network settings but that did not solve the problem.
I can use the AppStore and iTunes store on my PC and can download stuff and then transfer it on my phone by syncing it.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.
In the meantime ...........

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

Appstore icloud itunes not connectiong
I had this exact issue. However, I was not even able to "see" the pending downloads when I tried fixing them using the solution above.
In another thread, I saw that someone mentioned an issue with the use of the "&" (ampersand) symbol in your appleID information. I had recently changed my name and it did include the & symbol in my name (not the appleID itself). I replaced the ampersand with the word "and" and saved. I then went to the iTunes store and logged into my account there and made the same change on my billing name.
Voila! I could now access the 7 pending downloads on my desktop Mac and download them, and all iPhone/iPad/Ipods were again able to download from the app store.
incidentally, I had several support tickets open on this issue and never once did the Apple person even suggest that this might be the issue. -

even with my phone connected on wifi App Store gives a message "cannot connect to App Store". This when email and Safari are working normally.
Mr Brett, thanks for the reply but my situation remains unchanged. Let me amplify my problem.
My Mac Book, iPad and iPhone are using the same WiFi connection. Every device is able to connect to the internet, email connectivity is good, safari is working perfectly, Apple Store is fully accessible (except on the iPhone) and updates have been received for IOS as well as the various apps.
It is only on the iPhone 6 that message"cannot connect to appstore...." is being displayed whenever App Store is invoked. Surprisingly if i keep pressing the "update" button the page indeed opens but only for a second and I have been able to press update buttons for apps in that second. The app is even getting updated even as the message "Cannt..." continues to be displayed. However, the other buttons like "Featured" "Top Charts" "Explore" and "Search" are not opening for at all. Only the message "Cannot connect to App Store" is displayed.

The 169 IP address mans it did not correctly negotiate with the router:
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Okay, we'll try the technique from the following post. Be sure to be logged in to your usual user account when doing so. (Otherwise you'll be editing the wrong set of HKEY_CURRENT_USER keys.)

Cannot connect to iTunes since iOS6 update.
Is anyone else having difficulty connecting to the iTunes Store since the iOS6 update? I have this problem on my iPad and my iPhone 4S. I have logged out and back in on both devices...all to no avail. If anyone has run into this issue, what have you done to get it fixed?
Updated to iOS6 today with same prob with passbook and couldn't get in to App Store / Itunes. I found this link, changed the date and it fixed the prob with all of it.
