Cannot connect to cluster

In Crystal Reports Server XI release 2, I have the Servers running correctly, and connected to the correct database, I have all of the services running using the correct clustername. However I am getting this error when I try to run a report.
"Unable to connect to cluster @myclustername to retrieve updated CMS member list. Logon cannot continue."
Can anyone assist with this?
Thanks

Hi,
Just to be clear, You have a Cluster running and you can connect to the cluster on one Hyper-v node ?
And if you looked at this cluster do you see the other nodes ? if not no problem. If you do see the nodes check the state of this nodes.
Open the Failover Cluster Manager on the first node and connect to the cluster / do browse of add a " . "

  • Server cannot connect to cluster

    Hi
    I have been scratching my head about this problem for a while. I have three servers all using the same coherence-cache-config file - one runs inside weblogic, one is the coherence.sh monitoring application and the third is an invocation of the DefaultCacheServer java class. All servers are being executed on the same computer.
    Oddly, the first two connect correctly whilst the last does not.
    You can see the first two cluster members in this output from coherence.sh:
    bq. 2008-12-16 17:13:27.132 Oracle Coherence GE 3.3.1/389 <D5> (thread=Cluster, member=n/a): Member 1 joined Service DistributedCache with senior member 1 \\ SafeCluster: Name=essOM \\ Group{Address=224.3.3.1, Port=4490, TTL=0}
    However, when I kick of the DefaultCacheServer I get the following
    bq. Oracle Coherence Version 3.3.1/389 \\ Grid Edition: Development mode \\ Copyright (c) 2000-2007 Oracle. All rights reserved. \\ 2008-12-16 17:00:17.697 Oracle Coherence GE 3.3.1/389 <Info> (thread=main, member=n/a): Loaded cache configuration from resource "file:/ex \\ port/home/sef/projects/ESS/weblogicDomains/essSHdomain/db-ess/config/coherence/coherence-cache-config.xml" \\ 2008-12-16 17:00:17.741 Oracle Coherence GE 3.3.1/389 <Info> (thread=main, member=n/a): Loaded cache configuration from file "/export/home \\ /sef/projects/ESS/weblogicDomains/essSHdomain/db-ess/config/coherence/coherence-cache-config.xml" \\ 2008-12-16 17:00:17.745 Oracle Coherence GE 3.3.1/389 <Info> (thread=main, member=n/a): Started DefaultCacheServer... \\ SafeCluster: null
    I appreciate that this is not enough information to completely solve the problem but I would apprecia\te any hints and direcxtions towards solving this. If any more info is needed I will find it and post it here

    Hi Steve,
    It sounds like you do not have <autostart>true</autostart> (see http://wiki.tangosol.com/display/COH33UG/distributed-scheme) in your cache configuration descriptor.

  • Cannot connect to Session broker server, but can to other servers in Cluster

    Hi Everyone,
    Hopefully this is the right place to post. Have searched quite a bit through the forums (not all 19000+ pages though), and can't seem to find a similiar issue.
    I have also searched the internet and tried all solutions others with a similiar problem have.
    This is my problem:
    We have two servers running Server 2008 R2, set up as Remote Desktop Servers in a cluster setup.
    The session broker is located on the second server (This is an active server which has sessions load balanced to it). There is also a DNS round robin setup
    Problem: When sessions are allowed to be load balanced on Server2, then the users cannot connect to the cluster. The round robin seems to still send some sessions to the first server, and these seem to connect fine.
    I suspected the issue was with the WMI Respository, and so started. I found a lot of errors, but have been unable to fix them.
    I downlaoded the WMIDiag from Microsoft, and here is the report:

    49196 15:56:44 (0) ** WMIDiag v2.1 ended on 15 April 2015 at 15:56 (W:110 E:41 S:1).
    This seems to be the biggest problem:
    48960 15:56:44 (1) !! ERROR: Actual trustee 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' DOES NOT match corresponding expected trustee rights (Actual->Default)
    This seems to be the second biggest error (and there are a few of them):
    0x80041002 - (WBEM_E_NOT_FOUND) Object cannot be found.
    I have tried:
    winmgmt /resyncperf
    winmgmt /verifyrepository
    winmgmt /salvagerepository
    winmgmt /resetrepository
    I have also tried registering the mof files with
    MOFCOMP <FileName.mof>
    Lastly, I even disabled the WMI service, renamed the Repository folder, and had it rebuild the repository.
    I got stuck on re registering the 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' (I think it is in the Components section in Administrative tools), as I could not find clear instructions on exactly how to go about it.
    Chkdsk found no errors
    Sfc /scannow found no errors
    winmgmt /verifyrepository finds no errors.
    I'm hoping someone here might be able to steer me in the right direction to get this resolved, as I do not want to rebuild a server that hosts a connection broker and has over 100 user profiles on it, as well as some very annoying and finniky LOB apps installed,
    which will have to manually be reinstalled for each profile.

    Hi,
    Here is a blog regarding how to fix WMI issue might be useful to you:
    Fixing WMI issues Using Batch Script
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/6887.fixing-wmi-issues-using-batch-script.aspx
    In addition, you mentioned Remote Desktop Servers are in a cluster setup, would you tell us how did you create the cluster?
    As far as I know, with RD Connection Broker, we don’t need to create a cluster but just add multiple RD session hosts into one collection, then RD connection Broker would redirect sessions automatically.
    Best Regards,
    Amy

  • @CMS shorthand - unable to connect to cluster

    Hi
    We are moving from CE10 to BOE XIR3.1.
    We make a fair bit of use of the shorthand CMS syntax for system, say for eg:
    @Reports instead of the server name of RPNSBLK7
    It just makes it easier for users/developers to use the @Reports syntax. When we run our VB Scripts now, or try authenticating from CR2008, we get the following error:
    "Unable to connect to cluster @Reports:6400 to retrieve CMS member list. Locally cached member list not present. Logon cannot continue."
    Has anyone else noticed this, and is there a workaround/solution?
    Our production server name is extremely laborious and the cluster name is far easier.
    Ta
    Glenn

    The first time you login, use the full server name of the CMS machine. Once the list of cluster members is locally cached, the next time on you should be able to use just the cluster name.
    BTW, why are you saying @Reports:6400? You do not need the port number when using the cluster name. You need to use the port # only with the CMS name and when it is a non-standard port #.

    thanks.

    Hi,
    after the crsctl start crs you have to wait a while till the clusterstack is up. You just issued crsctl check crs a little to early.
    To see the startup stack do a crsctl stat res -t -init.
    If not everything in crsctl stat res -t -init goes to online after a while, then you have a problem, which has to be analyzed.
    However if crsctl stat res -t -init show everything is started use crsctl stat res -t to see the other processes coming online.
    Can you post the crsctl stat res -t -init (if not everything is online) or a crsctl stat res -t.
    Only thing which I find strange is that oifcfg does not list a PUBLIC interface...
    Regards
    Sebastian

  • DeploymentRuntimeException: Cannot connect to any of the OC4J process(es)

    Hello,
    I've got 2 Linux (RHEL 3) servers with Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.0.0 installed. Both of these are part of a cluster -- node 1 is specified as administrative node, node 2 isn't. However, when I try to deploy to the "home" OC4J process of both through the Enterprise Manager, I get the following error... Same thing when I try to undeploy an application that is deployed to both instances. Funny thing is, despite the exception in the server output, the EM claims the application is (un)deployed successfully. And this seems to be correct, since I can access my application on both nodes seperately. Still, the undeploy does give some problems, as it doesn't seem to get undeployed completely on my non-administrative node (node2).

    Any idea what the problem could be? Is this OAS related? Maybe something in the config of my cluster?
    Or lies the problem in the Linux config? The /etc/hosts file?
    Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

  • I-net oranxo driver problem. cannot connect

    Hi, im new to the j2ee programming communitty and i was trying to use the i-net type 4 driver to connect to an oracle database. The service name of the oracle database is orcl. i know that the host is the local host, and im pretty sure that the port number is 1521. i dont think i changed it. unfortunately i dont know how to change it. if you could tell me a way to change it once i have already installed it, i would appreciate it.
    my code for this problem is
    import java.sql.*;
    public class testDB{
    public static void main(String args[])
         new testDB();
    testDB()
         try{
              Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:inetora:localhost:1521:orcl", "scott", "tiger" );
              new com.inet.ora.OraDriver();
              CallableStatement cstmt = con.prepareCall("{call procone(?,?,?)}");
              cstmt.setInt(1,6619211);
              cstmt.setString(2,"Java");
              cstmt.setInt(3,22);
              cstmt.execute();
              con.close();
              }catch(Exception x){
                        System.out.println("exception: "+x);
    the error its giving me is the following
    com.inet.ora.ORA3SQLException: [OraDriver] Connection Refused:Connect
    Anyone know why theres a problem. im sorry i know its probably a dumb question but i cant figure this out.

    re: Oracle database and listener:
    Oracle does not do things in a simple way. I'll explain things using Oracle's terminology (which I didn't use earlier).
    To Oracle, the collection of data-storage (files or devices) that actually has the data is the "database", without regard to any program code or running process.
    To Oracle, the memory structures and process (or threads on some OSes) normally used to access a database is called an "instance". (In casual speech, most people call the "instance" the "database"; usually the distinction doesn't matter).
    You can have a database without an instance (the program isn't running), an instance without a database (the database hasn't been created or you're using a special Oracle feature called ASM), or you can have multiple instances for one database (an Oracle RAC cluster).
    You cannot connect directly to an Oracle instance via a TCP/IP connection (which is normally what a JDBC driver will use, although there are other ways). Instead, Oracle has another program, called the "listener" that brokers connection requests; your program talks to the listener on port 1521 and the listener arranges for your program and the database to connect. The database might actually be on another computer but almost never is, except with RAC clusters or failover configurations. So the listener has to be running for most JDBC programs to work.
    SQL*Plus can connect to a database instance via TCP/IP, which requires the listener; however, SQL*Plus can also connect to a database instance that is on the same computer via inter-process communication, which does not require the listener. Stopping the listener process and connecting via SQL*Plus is a common way of putting a database into "maintenance mode", where only the database administrator can make changes to the DB.
    The standard Oracle installation will install everything and set up the listener and have it autostart on boot and everything else needed. However, people sometimes disable things they think they don't need, so it's not unheard of for people to turn off the listener becaus they think they don't need it. Or sometimes there's an error and the listener fails to start...

  • Macbook Pro Cannot Connect to SMTP

    I am running a 2010 MacBook Pro with OS X 10.6.8.  I use Mac Mail app to send and receive e-mail.  Since Thursday 27th Dec 2012 I have been unable to send e-mail.  I get the grey spinning wheel until the following error message appears:
    The SMTP connection to server “mail.(mydomain).co.uk” failed.
    My outgoing mail server is currently showing as offline.  In fact I have 2 e-mail accounts and both are showing as offline.  No problem receiving mail.  Connection doctor connects fine to incoming mail, but not outgoing.
    I have tried the following (plus other things) without any success:
    Checked all the details, passwords etc
    Changed ports from 25 to 465 and 587
    Checked my IP address - it is not blacklisted
    Removed and re-added e-mail account
    Telnet port 25 - it is not blocked, but appeared to successfully connect (from what I understood from checking www)
    Temporarily disabled firewall
    Re-installed Mac app
    Rebuilt mailbox
    Repaired disk permissions
    Used the repair disk utility
    Deselected SSL and changed various options within "Edit SMTP server list"
    Reset the keychain
    Tried updating software but it says no update available.
    Re-instated an old Accounts.plist (and one other file which I forget, something like com.apple.mail) from time capsule.
    I then set up a hotmail account on Mail app but had exactly the same problem, ie cannot connect with SMTP server.
    However, I set up my e-mail account on my wife's iPad with the same details and there was no problem at all, e-mail sent just fine as it does from my iPhone.  So the issue has to be with my Macbook, right?  Can anyone help before I go and spent £1250 on a new Macbook?  I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.  Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Just FYI, I've had the same problem for months now. I have been accessing my hotmail via the web, but decided to try the OS X Mail app.  I could get emails into the account with no problem but couldn't send.  I read all the blog and support entries and have tried everything they recommended, like changing my computer name to one word, without success.  Then last night, it just so happened that my broadband provider had to change out my wireless modem.  As soon as he plugged in the new one, some emails that had been in my outbasket for a month went through instantly and all of a sudden my Mail, both incoming and outgoing now work.  So I think people need to look at their router settings for the a solution to the problem.

  • Cannot connect to other computers on network

    We have a small office network with 7 macs on it. 5 wired 2 laptops with Airport Extreme.
    We have an 8 port switch where the 5 desktops and the airport connect. When I am on a laptop I cannot connect to any of the desktops. It does not even see them (and same with desktop to laptop) What do I need to do to share these two on the airport

    Configure the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) so that it the option to distribute IP addresses is DISABLED. That will place the wireless and wired computers on the same subnet.

    Sorry for my bad English
    Best Regards,

    Hi Markus,
    did you check if the browser is using a proxy? (In this case your scenario unfortunately won't work).
    P4-port should generally be routed via a proxy (described in the help.sap.com), but within the PI-Tools(JNLP) the proxy-usage is not implemented.  There is even a SAP-note that describes how to check the JavaWebStart-Proxyconfiguration, but this won't help either.
    If there is a proxy defined in the browser everything is working fine till you pass the logon-screen but even with the correct "javaws"-settings you won't be able to go on.
    (This problem is pretty bad if you do have developers and the SAP-servers seperated because of security issues. I'm hoping that this malfunction will be solved with upcoming patches.)
    Solution: Establish a connection without any proxy in between.
      E.g.: a terminal server in the same network
    It would be helpful to find more people with the same problem to force a fix from SAP for that.
    If anyone else is having problems with this, please add a comment to this thread.
    Best regards
    Christian
