Cannot connect to com1 in PXI2530 using Switch Executive

I have a PXI2530 configured using Switch Executive 2.10. The first 60 Channels are setup with my signal names on ch0 - ch59. Com0, 1, 2 and 3 are my Instrument connections. The IVI Driver Sessions has Driver Setup set to Topology:2530/1-Wire Octal 16x1 Mux.
When I try to configure either a Channel, Route or a Group, there is only a com0 pin and no com1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7. There is no way to connect to any pin beyond ch15.
The configuration looks like it is setup for a 128:1 mux, but when I try to connect ch16 to com0, it cannot complete the route. Ch16 cannot be connected to com0 or any channel in the list. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

What probably happened is that originally the NISE vd was created using the 128x1 topology. If the driver session is changed to another topology (like Octal 16x1 Mux) and saved the linked from the NISE vd and the old topology still exists until you close MAX and reopen it. When MAx opens it establishes a link between the NISE vd and driver session which remains in memory until MAX is closed and reopened.

How to restart base station from airport utility? I used to be able to do it remotely
I currently use a Mac Pro 10.8.4 and have a time machine for wireless 6.3 (630.34). Sometimes I cannot connect to the internet and use network preferences to diagnose the issue. This results in being told to restart the wireless. The airport utility includes the drop down option of restarting but is not clickable so I can't choose it.
With my prior macbook and same time capsule, etc if i had problems connecting to the internet I would run network diagnostics to help out. This included clicking on the airport utility ---> base station --> restart. This worked most of the time.
Bottom line, is there something I am missing in not being able to restart the wi-fi remotely? ]

You are likely forgetting a step.
Open AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon
Click Edit in the small window that appears
Now click the Base Station menu.....top of the screen....not the Base Station "tab" in the center of the screen
Click Restart

Scan list using Switch Executive

I have a number of signal routes using multiple switch cards that I have set up using switch executive. I want to create a scan list that will switch each of my routes in turn each time I see a hardware trigger on the trigger inputs of my switches.
I have looked at some examples in TestStand and can see that if I use the IVI Switch Step using the IVI Switching setting that I can set up a scan list but that seems to be only for one switch card, I have two that I need to route signals to a Digitizer. I can not see a way of using my routes set up using Switch Executive.
I can either use LabView2013 or TestStand 2013 to do this.
Some help would be most appreciated?

I cannot connect to I tunes store using I tune 11.1 I get the error 0x80092013 "secure link to I tunes store failed" does anyone know what this is?

I cannot connect to the I tunes store after recently downloading I tunes 11.1 I just get the error code 0x80092013 so not sure what to do. I have tried deleting and then reinstalling I tunes with no luck. I tried to flush my DNS but that did not work, I tried the diagnostics in I tunes and it told me my connections were fine but said the "secure link to I tunes store failed" Looking for an answer thanks!

Okay I was able to connect back to the I tunes store in I tunes 11.1 taking care of the error 0x80092013. I did this in XP going to the firewall controls, selecting the exception tab. I tunes was already in the exceptions tab but I deleted it anyway, then I added I tunes back using the Add Program button then browsing to the I tunes.exe location in the C drive then selected that as the program. I tunes showed back up in the exceptions once again. I then shut down the computer and restarted it and I then had a connection with I tunes. So the I tunes in the exceptions tab in the firewall was not working I just replaced it with a fresh one.

Here is what you need to do to be able to call 2 end channels and create a route though 3 layers.
1) You have to tell NISE how the independent relays are connected to each other. You will do that by creating Hardwires.
2) You need to tell NISE that you want the channels connected to the hardwires to be used for routing. You will do that by marking the connected channels as "Reserved for Routing".
3) You can name the end channels according to your topology. COM for the single input channel and CH0 to CH15 for the output channels by creating aliases.
In the route editor, you will only need to create a route between COM and CHx and NISE will find the appropriate relays to close. In the route editor, if you only want to see the channels with an alias (COM, CH0, CH1 etc...) select in Options "Hide channels without aliases"

Cannot connect to a named instance using SSMS from a remote machine

I have a desktop machine, that i am using to administrer SQL Server (via SSMS) and to develop my SSIS solutions, but i can't connect to a named instance of my SQL Server. When i try to connect using SSMS to my named instance (myhost\DWSERVER)
i get a huge error message:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establisinh a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.
(provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 10060)
Locally, i am able to access that named instance using SSMS, just when i try to access from another machine, the above error pops-up to me.
I am using the SQL Server Authentication mode to connect to the named instance.
What am i doing wrong?

That's correct, i can connect to my default instance both locally and remotelly. The default instance in on port 1433. I cannot find the port used by the named instance (DWSERVER).

Cannot connect with SQL Server driver using Top Link with ADF/JSF

I have a TopLink/ADF/JSF project that I'm starting using JDeveloper 10.1.3. The database is MS SQL Server. I went through and created all of the Top Link mappings, etc. but when I try to run my project under the OC4J instance built in to JDeveloper I get the error message below. I've tried putting SelectMethod=cursor everywhere I can think of, but nothing seems to help?

I'm not sure on the error, but you may be able to pass the "selectMethod" and "cursor" as a JDBC property in your connection pool. Since this is a DataSource / JTA issue you may want to post it to the general OC4J forum.
Otherwise as a workaround you could instead use a non-JTA DataSouce, or use TopLink internal connection pooling, or try another JDBC driver.

Cannot connect to itunes store? Use VPN

Im using a VPN on my iDevice to get over this issue temporarily (german IP) and its accessing the app store just fine.

I am using Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit on a brand new PC, and cannot connect to the iTunes store using iTunes version 10. HELP!!

Ok, so after purchasing a new computer, with windows 7 pro, 64 bit, I tried downloading the newest iTunes, which at the time was 10.2.1 (i believe). After installation, everything seemed to work, except that iTunes was unable to securely connect to the internet, use home sharing, or validate my computer.
As troubleshooting, I first ran msconfig, and then turned OFF all programs that boot at start up EXCEPT itunes and quicktime. After a restart, i opened itunes again, and got the same result. That led me to believe that iTunes was NOT being blocked by another program on my machine. I am currently running itunes 10.7 successfully on a Windows 7 32 machine at work. Anyhow, for grins, I tried to install version 9 on the new computer, and it installed perfectly, and immediately connected to the itunes store, leading me to believe that there is nothing wrong with my software configuration (not sure if this is a safe assumption or not). I then tried to let iTunes update itself using the automated update function. It tried to update itself to the most current version, then 10.6. Again, iTunes was unable to connect to the iTunes store. I HAVE tried disabling the anti-virus software (AVG), but that made no difference.
I have since gone back and reinstalled iTunes 9. Here's the catch though. When I reinstalled using version 9, I had to redo all my library files. I'm about 1/2 way through my CD's, and now have a substantial library file going. The last time I let iTunes update itself to 10.6, once I realized that it was not going to connect to the store, I uninstalled iTunes, and reinstalled ver. 9. However, when I did this, it told me it could no longer open the library file, because it was a newer .itl or .xml (i believe it was one of those two extensions) library file. At that point, I basically started everything over again, using version 9, and have been importing CD's like a madman at night.
Here are my questions:
1) Is there a way to make a copy of the files that store my library info, so that if my upgrade to ver 10 IS NOT SUCCESSFUL, I can restore ver 9, but still have all of the album art work, playlists (when I import music, I create a playlist with the artists' name, and store things that way), etc. in tact?
2) What else can I try (firewall settings, internet options, etc.) to try and get version to to successfully install? I would really like to get all the benfits of the newer versions.
3) When I tried to get apple tech support before, they wanted me to pay a ridiculous 69$ fee for phone support. I just bought an iphone 5....this should entitle me to a fresh 90 days of phone support, right? The reason I ask here is that I could hardly understand the "tech" that answered the phone when I called for tech support last time, and to be honest, it really ****** me off that they wanted to try and milk me for another 69 bucks....I've purchased every iPhone since the 3Gs came out (pre-ordered at that), and have nearly gone broke purchasing music from their iTunes store....heck, maybe they're doing me me a favor not letting me into the store, huh?

Cannot connect to wpa protected wifi using netcfg

I tried doing the same configuration in netcfg and this is my config file.

I killed wpa_supplient & started it with option to log to a file by
wpa_supplicant -u -f /var/log/wpa.log -B
Now, just to check whether wpa_supplient is still working perfectly, I restarted networkmanager and checked whether I was able to connect to the wifi & I was able to do it.
I stopped the networkmanager & ran "netcfg up mywifi" & I got nothing in the logfile of wpa_supplient & got a simple message saying "WPA Authentication/Association Failed"..
If I switch on debugging, I get

Hp pavilion d4790y windows vista cannot connect to internet wirelessly unless using WEP

I have a HP Pavilion d4790y with Windows Vista 32 bit home premium. I can connect to my ISP router wirelessly using the HP internal network adapter, but the connection from the router to the internet does not work unless I downgrade the router security to WEP. If I connect to the router with a wired connection, I can connect to the internet no problem even with WPA2. I have done all the recomended troubleshooting steps like resetting the router, checking for network adapter driver update, uninstall/reinstall network adapter driver, release and renew the ip config, etc. Suggesions? Is there a more recent driver that is not being recognized during the update search process?

This is a hardware thing and the wireless card does not support this. Changing the wireless card may be the way to go.

Cannot connect to Oracle express database using Oracle forms 10 on win XP

Hello All,
I have installed Oracle Developer Suite 10g along with Oracle Express edition database on Windows XP home edition. (Do get successful installation message)
When i open up Forms builder and try to use connect option- it comes up with user name, password and database dialogue box?
If I enter user name and password I choose while installation express edition database it comes up with the following error:
"ORA-12560:TNS:protocol adapter error"
Have checked the services and they all seem to be running, have tried deinstalling/installing by removing registry values but still no luck.
In fact what ever I type the error message remains the same.
On the other hand I can access Express edition database using user name and password I choose during its installation.
Can any one please reply me what details i need to enter here? Is it same as I set up during express edition database installation? What about database?
Please help. As I am struggling big time.

You need to start SQL Plus and see if you can log in, too, to make sure there are not other problems.
What are you using for the Database name (the third entry following username and password)?

Cannot connect to Admin Api Endpoint, using Authentication token obtained form Windows Auth Site

Hi, I'm trying to connect to "AdminAPI" site, using Windows Authentication using REST API, but i always get the following error.
user is not authorized to access the management service
I also wrote a powershell script that gets the token from windows auth site, and connects to AdminAPi site, it works fine natively, when i run in ISE, but when i execute the same PS script using C# in my custom resource provider, it gives the same above
error.
How should i go about it? please help?

The user context you are executing the script/cmdlets needs to be added as an administrator into WAP, or else you won't be authorized.
To add a new user to WAP Admin, see the following PS example:

Cannot connect Oracle 7.2.2 using JDBC thin in JDevelper....

When I try to connect Oracle 7.2.2 database using JDBC thin driver of Java 1.1.8 in JDeveloper, the connection manager refuse to connect the database and alert the minimum version supported is 7.2.3. But I know JDBC thin driver can connect database of 7.2.x onwards. Any way to workaround? Thank you.

Try using Microsofts JDBC driver rather than Suns. Also search these forums, other have run into the same issue.
