Cannot connect to Exchange via Activesync

I recently updated my Z10 to 10.2.1.2726 and so far cannot get active synce to connect. Any ideas on how I can fix this without going back to 10.1?
David Nottingham

Well, at first I was going to suggest redoing the entire AutoLoader process, but this time not doing any restore...sometimes, a backup file contains the very corruption one needs to eliminate, and restoring from it simply reintroduces that corruption.
But then, you said...

For troubleshooting I have tried to activate on Wifi only on multple networks and the same result is that i get the error message of:
"Your login information for accout (accoiunt name) has changed or is incorrect. Update your login information and try again."
And that brings up other thoughts...things like being 100000% certain you are entering the proper credentials, especially when it comes to upper and lower case characters, special characters, etc. Also being sure to validate those exact credentials via other methods (e.g., WebMail to that service provider). There also could be other causes, for example:
Article ID: KB35952 "Your login information for account has changed or is incorrect. Update your login information and try again." when BlackBerry 10 is integrated with Microsoft Office 365 ActiveSync account
Article ID: KB34651 Gmail account on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone becomes invalid intermittently with the error "Your login information for IMAP server [imap.gmail.com] has changed or is incorrect. Please check your account settings."
There could be other KBs...you can search that database for more.
Otherwise, I guess that I would indeed recommend what I started this particular post with...reload and do not restore.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Lync 2013 on Windows Phone 8 cannot connect to Exchange via TMG

    Hi,
    I've found that the latest Lync 2013 client on WP8 cannot connect to our Exchange Server 2010 via TMG and the problem is related to autodiscovery. Based on detailed log analysis the symptom is the following:
    1. The client is sending a request:
    GET
    https://autodiscover.neostratus.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
    2. It gets a TMG logon form and then tries to POST here:
    POST
    https://autodiscover.neostratus.com/cookieauth.dll?getlogon?curl=z2fautodiscoverz2fautodiscover.xml&reason=0&formdir=9
    <Autodiscover xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/autodiscover/outlook/requestschema/2006">
    <Request><EMailAddress>[email protected]</EMailAddress>
    <AcceptableResponseSchema>http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/autodiscover/outlook/responseschema/2006a</AcceptableResponseSchema>
    </Request></Autodiscover>
    </SentRequest>
    The URL is wrong and it fails of course. This is the situation with Lync credentials and manually configured Exchange credentials as well.
    Other clients (PC, iOS) can connect fine and all test tools confirm that our autodiscovery setup is correct. I can POST the above XML using basic authentication to the correct URL and get a correct response. And the same autodiscovery process works fine
    when setting up an email account on the same WP8 device.
    Is this a known WP8 Lync 2013 client bug and is there a workaround?
    BR,
    Andras

    Hi,
    The lync client should be able to sing in Lync Server and just lost calendar information if Lync client cannot connect to Exchange. Please double check if the device is able to connect to the EWS URL.

  • Since upgrade to iOS 7 Email error on over 100KB emails "Cannot Send Mail  The message was rejected by the server because it is too large." Connecting to Exchange via Activesync

    Hi,
    Following the upgrade to iOS 7.0.3 on all our iPhone and iPad devices, it has been identified that when sending emails around 100KB in size and over an error message appears on the device stating “Cannot Send Mail  The message was rejected by the server because it is too large.” See error message below. The send/receive limit is over 10MB so this is not the issue.
    We are in an Exchange Environment using Microsoft Activesync. This issue is not evident in iOS 6. This has been tested on an iPhone 3GS running version iOS 6.1.3. We have been unable to repeat the issues seen on iOS 7 on the older OS. It is not possible to roll back to the older operating system as Apple are no longer signing the software.
    We use Microsoft Active Sync to connect to our Exchange servers through a TMG. The issue is very inconsistent, some identical emails go through, some fail. This is not an issue with the send/receive limit as this is over 10MB. The error message when it fails on the TMG is Status: 413 Request Entity Too Large, which we believe is from IIS on the CAS server.
    Does anyone have any suggest course of actions to take?
    Many Thanks

    This resolution have to attend at the server not with the ios device. My employer's mail administrator reject me to correct it from the server. As his concern is, if ither ios devices works why don't mine? So I am helpless than changing my iphone. It works fine for early versions of ios and with androids. And also one of my friends iphone4 with ios 7 (similar as mine) works too. So I guess it's something wrong with my iPhones settings. But basic question I cannot understand is it works in my phone before this ios7 upgrading. And currently working with my yahoo account too. Favourable reply expected.

    Things to consider before you begin
    Start with a plan for the physical layout. Depending on whether you have an existing Wi-Fi network, or if you are using your AirPort Express as a standalone Wi-Fi device, there are several options available for you to choose from.
    When using Ethernet, Cat6 cable is recommended.
    The layout you choose should take into account environmental factors such as physical access, location, range, radio frequency interference, etc.
    You will need to consider what AirPort Utility settings to adopt.
    You will need to know whether you are using an AirPort Express (802.11b/g) or an AirPort Express (802.11a/b/g/n).

  • Why I cannot connect to twitter via iPhone?

    I just cannot connect to Twitter via iPhone.
    It started around 6 months ago, before it was working just fine.
    Important notes:
    I live in China, dono need to connect to it via VPN.
    Interesting thing is that in my iPad app I have no problem at all, can connect, place posts, etc.
    Just in iPhone its not possible, not even connecting to the site via Safari.
    Why's that? Anyone has any idea on how to solve this problem?

  • Cannot connect to Exchange 2007 server on OS 3.1

    Hi
    Since I've upgraded to OS 3.1 on my iPhone 3GS I cannot connect to my Exchange 2007 server. The phone simply tells me "The connection to the server failed.".
    What could this be? I've read the problems that 3G people are experiencing, but I've got the 3GS.
    Is there anyway to debug this? The Exchange server works fine in Outlook and I can even connect to the web interface through Safari on the iPhone.
    Any suggestions?

  • External Clients cannot connect to Exchange Server

    Hello all:
    My external clients using outlook cannot connect to Exchange Server 2013.  We have on-presmise version updated to Cu3 and after the Cu3 update we lost connectivity with Outlook clients.  Many of the settings in IIS were changed after the Cu3 update,

    Hi,
    According to your description, users cannot connect to Exchange server 2013 both internal and external.
    Please run Test E-mail AutoConfiguration in Outlook to check your autodiscover service. Also
    reset your Exchange virtual directory to connect correctly. If the issue still continues after all configurations are setting properly, collect some Event logs would be helpful.
    If there is any question, please post the results here for further analysis.

  • User cannot connect to exchange server

    I have rounded up all of the usual suspects and am at a loss here. A user has been running in offline mode for a while. The ability to uncheck offline mode is greyed out. Pinged my Exchange server by name to see if resolves from this PC. It does. Renamed
    .ost so a new one would be generated. No help. I removed the Outlook profile in Control Panel>mail and tried to create a new one. I get the cannot connect to Exchange error. I tried to log in as him on my PC and have the same results. I do not see any issues
    with his account on my Exchange server. Any ideas to check on next? Never had one do this before.

    This type of error generally occurs when user had disabled Encryption of data between Microsoft
    Office Outlook and Microsoft Exchange profile , and default configuration of Exchange requires RPC encryption from Outlook client , which is not available, so this error is displayed.
    To solve this issue you may try any of these solutions below:
    1. Disable the encryption requirement on all CAS servers.
    2. Try to manually update your Outlook profile with RPC encryption.
    3.
    Expand Group Policy settings to update existing Outlook profiles with RPC encryption
    Hope this will work for you !!!

  • Changed apple-ID password - cannot connect to icloud via macbook air but it works on iphone and itunes..

    My Ipad got stolen soon after i updated in to ios7.
    the idiot i am, i did not activate find my ipad, so i changed all my passwords, including the apple-id.
    now i have the following problem:
    on my iphone, everything works as usual.
    however, i cannot connect to icloud via my macbook air, if i type in my password (and trust me i have already changed it a few times, it always works on the phone but not on the macbook) i get the following message: "Sie konnten aufgrund eines Kommunikationsproblems mit iCloud nicht angemeldet werden." which means more or less that i could not connect to icloud due to a communication problem.
    does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

  • Syncing with Exchange via activesync drains battery

    Got a new iphone and the battery life on it was OK for weeks. Then I set it up to sync mail on an Exchange 2003 server via activesync. After this was enabled the battery life went down to about 5 hours. AT&T even replaced the phone, but nothing changed. The mailbox has a fairly detailed calendar, maybe 5,000 contacts but little mail activity. And if I disable the sync on the phone then the battery life goes back to normal. There seems to be nothing wrong with the mailbox itself and a BBerry can be setup for that mailbox through BES as well and it behaves. Is it possible that the phone is "checking" the mailbox too often? Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
    If you haven't already, update the iPhone to the latest software available(currently 2.2.1).
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/softwareupdate/
    You can also try restarting the iPhone by holding the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears> then slide to turn off> and turn the iPhone back on by pressing the Sleep/Wake again, as described on page 34 of the iPhone User Guide.
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/iPhoneUserGuide.pdf
    If you see the same issue with Windows Mobile devices connected to the Exchange server, you may need to install this exchange hotfix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922475/

  • Cannot connect to database via JApplet

    Hi,
    I created a Java application which allows me to send information to my mysql database using the jdbc connector via a JFrame. However when i modified the file to be a JApplet the info will not sent and i cannot connect to the database? Any particular reason for this?
    I need it to be a JApplet so i can add it to a browser window.
    Code: ( java )
    private void save ()
    Connection conn = null;
    try
    Statement stmt;
    String userName = "root";
    String password = "PASSWORD";
    String url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/DATABASE";
    Class.forName ("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance ();
    conn = DriverManager.getConnection (url, userName, password);
    System.out.println ("Database connection established");
    //Get a statement object
    stmt = conn.createStatement();
    stmt.executeUpdate( "INSERT INTO TABLE(Info i know to put in) VALUES('Values i know to put in')");
    catch (Exception e)
    System.err.println ("Cannot connect to database server");
    finally
    {if (conn != null)
              {try
                   {conn.close ();
    System.out.println ("Database connection terminated");
    catch (Exception e) { /* ignore close errors*/  }
    As i said above it works fine as a JFrame but not as a JApplet. Any help would be great.
    Thanks G

    Your error reporting is not good. You print a meanningless message or ignore the error.
    Print the stacktrace in the catch blocks.
    Change the code, rerun it and then check the Java Console for output.
    I'm guessing you'll see a security error. Unsigned applets can't access the client file system. If so, sign the applet.

  • Lumia 820 cannot connect to PC via Bluetooth

    Hi there. I have recently bought a new Lumia 820, which is a great phone, except that I cannot connect the Lumia to my PC (win 7) via Bluetooth. I have been using phones with bluetooth for a long time, so this is not my first time. I can see my pc in the list, but when i click "connect", the phone is connected to the pc for like one second and then the connection breaks up. Transfering a single file by clicking "send" and then "bluetooth" is no problem, but the connecting directly between the pc and the phone via bluetooth instead of usb cable is no success. Can anybody help me out here please? Thank you!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    A continuous data connection is not supported. In all fairness it's kind of like trying to fill a tank using a thimble.
