Cannot connect to internet after upgrade from 10.7.4 to 10.7.5

I have a new iMac and connect to internet with a data card (modem) Huawei E303.
It worked fine until after the upgrade from 10.7.4 to 10.7.5.
Now I can connect but there is no measurable signal. Other computers work using the same data card.

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

Strong wifi connection but cannot connect to Internet after upgrade to ios5

After upgrade to ios 5, my iPad 2 connect to the wireless router just fine. However, it take forever to connect to a website. Following suggestion from someone, I switch my router off then on, it work. But after a day, the problem came back. Switch off and on the router solve the problem again..
This connection problem appear periodically since, it is very annoying.
Anyone know the reason for this connection problem and any solution?. thanks a lot.

You can also try to install the older version in compatible mode:

Solution: revert your network adapter driver back to an older version

Open Network and Sharing Center.
Click the Change adapter settings link in the upper left of the navigation pane.

Remote Desktop Connection stop working after upgrade from 10.5.8 to 10.6.1

I too could not connect to a W2K3 server with RDC 2.0.1 after upgrading from Mac OS X, 10.5.8 to 10.6/10.6.1. I have another Mac which is on 10.5.8 and connect fine with the same version of RDC 2.0.1 as well as other PC with Terminal Service Clients.
There is no change on the server side. I have uninstalled and reinstalled RDC 2.0.1 several time and it did not resolve the issue. To rule out firewall/network, I tested with another remote desktop application called CoRD (for Mac) on the same laptop running SL 10.6.1 and it connected to the same W2K3 server fine.
One thing that is worth mentioning (in my case), when it does not connect, RDC totally quit (not running anymore. Not minimize, no cannot connect error message, no little dot on the Dock for RDC, nothing) right after I put in the credential in. When looking at the log entries that are related to RDC in the Console application, I see the following
machine 10.6.1. with RDC 2.0.1 (non-working)

Doing some more troubleshooting after my post above as I saw a couple of entries referencing Stop Light keep popping up in the log of the Console. I removed Stoplight and Cocoa Gesture (for good meausre) and RDC 2.0.1 started working. I think it is Stop Light which causes RDC stop working, but I don't have to time right now to put Cocoa Gesture back to confirm that. I might if I have the time or post here if you have Stop Light installed as well and removing it resolved the RDC issue for you.

Cannot Connect to Server after Upgrade

After performing several MS upgrades from MS site, the following error occurs when trying to connect to my local (single computer) Database
Engine using SQL Server Express 2008 Express:

Cannot connect to SR1320NX\SQLEXPRESS.
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not
found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 2)
Note that one of the MS upgrades performed was for
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 3 (KB2546951).
Additionally, some of the upgrades did not initially install correctly, although they all eventually did install correctly.

After updating my ipad to IOS 7, I got a message "cannot connect to the internet."
From the apple communities, this is a common problem.
I tried completely turning off the ipad - unsuccessful
I tried resetting the network settings (settings, general, reset, reset network settings) - unsuccessful
The next suggestion was a general reset (settings, general, reset, reset all settings), but this would require a full restore afterwards.
Apple support at that stage suggested rebooting the home internet (turning off the modem/router, unplugging it and waiting 10 seconds, replug and turn back on)
Success!
This is an easier option than full reset, and worked in my circumstance

Airport Connected, No Internet after upgrade

This is just an FYI incase you're experiencing a similar problem after upgrading to 10.6.
Both at home and on campus my computer would connect to the wireless network, however I would not be able to actually get online, Safari would say "you're not connected to the internet." Extremely frustrating experience considering that I could DHCP an address and everything seemed to be working properly. I was sure all of these networks were working too because my iPod Touch would allow me internet access.
Using my ethernet connection at home, I browsed around and found the quick solution. Go into System Preferences > Network and create a new location (restoring all the default settings basically). This fixed the problem, and reverting back to the "automatic" location cause it to recur. Unsatisfied with simply fixing the problem I compared the default settings to my own custom settings and found that there was only one real difference - I had manually specified a DNS server some time ago in 10.5. Upon its removal, my original configuration started working again.
Perhaps it's because this was a carryover from the old 10.5 system and the new one didn't like it - but who knows. I never tried just entering an IP address into an address bar or FTP client so maybe that would have worked and all it was was a DNS issue. Hopefully, this post will save some fellow like me a couple hours of head scratching!

Can someone please HELP ME! I have a ibook g4 and I recently upgraded from tiger to Leopard. My wireless internet service worked fine until I upgraded. My computer still recognizes the network i’m trying to connect to but when I try to connect, it either says “connection time out” or “connection failed.” I know it’s not a problem with the network because my husband can connect to the same network on his macbook pro and on a psp. I know the problem has something to do with leopard. If anyone has experienced this or has any possible solutions on how to fix this please help.

Kim, I have the same problem since I upgraded to Leopard, on the wireless connection at my office. Everything still works fine at home and on campus, so it seems to have affected some wireless routers and not others.
I am still working to make the connection at work connect without the "connection failed" report, but one thing I've read is to go to your System Preferences, click on Network, select the Airport option, click on Advanced, click on the TCP/IP tab, then Configure IPv6: check to see that it's OFF. Some people have reported that this helps. Hope it does for you.

In the application, when RMI server starts, the connectionpool (developed using stack) will be filled with 10 instances of fresh connections.

I attempted several upgrades and we decided it was better to implement the content under 10g fresh rather than attempt an upgrade.
After 3-5 attempts through patching non of them provided us with re-produceable steps and we had different errors each time - mind you this was a few months back after initial release of upgrade patches.

Hi, Rathh. Always use Disk Utility to repair permissions immediately after installing any software update that uses Apple's Installer application, or that is installed by the Software Update function accessed through the Apple Menu.

After upgrading to itunes9.2, internet connectivity is lost. I must do a system restore to recover. I get an ip stack error of some kind. I would stay in itunes9.1 except that I have an Iphone 4 coming. any suggestions?

Today morning i installed this 3G compatibility fix via nokia suit.
After while i noticed, that my phone is unable to connect to internet.
Indicator on the top of the screen shows that 3,5G network is established, but when i open browser (or any other app), it cannot connect.
I tried to reinstall firmware via nokia suit, but no luck.
What should i do now? Any ideas?
