Cannot connect to Internet over WLAN
I bought a Lenovo thinkpad e325 today and brought it home, but can't connect to Internet.
The laptop is connected to the WLAN in which I am now writing this post with my phone, but it says "no Internet connection".
Where should I look for information or does someone has an answer to my problem?
I live in a dorm so I can't access the routers properties.
Hi
Please checlk the following
1. Under Command Prompt use IPCONFIG to check what IP your Wlan adaptor is picking
2. Also try pressing the FN+F5 button to know the Wlan status
3. If system is connected then try command Ping yahoo.com on command prompt
Please share the results
Cheers!!!

We're trying to watch a movie using our Apple TV. It is saying "cannot connect to internet?" WE thought it was because we just got a new computer, so i went through the process of downloating i-tunes all over again...yet we still have the problem. ??? PLease help
Linda
What exactly has changed?
Just the computer, other things?
More information on your actual setup is needed - Particularly how things are connected on the local network and to each other.
In theory the new computer should not affect Apple TV's ability to rent and play a movie if the rental was made on the AppleTV itself. The problem may have nothing to do with the new computer unless changes have been made on the router to let it connect and it's caused AppleTv to disconnect, or the PC has been assigned the AppleTV's IP address which is no longer available to AppleTV hence it thinks it's lost connection.
Try powering off the router, restarting and see if the AppleTV internet connection returns. Restart AppleTv too if needed. Check any ethernet cable connections or wi-fi settings on AppleTV if it doesn't re-establish the internet connection. By the way an ethernet cable plugged into AppleTV will disconnect it's wi-fi connections.

Cannot connect to internet in Solaris 10 OS.
I setup X4500 running solaris 10 OS. But, I cannot connect to internet. I do not understand whats wrong with that. When I ping google or any other site from X4500 its not transferring any packets. I can ssh it from a remote computer. So, running fine on the network. I have a static IP for that. Could someone please help me with this.
Thank youCan you ping your own default gateway's IP address?
Can you traceroute to a public IP address like forums.sun.com (72.5.124.102)?
Can you use nslookup to resolve hostnames to IP addresses?
Does your /etc/resolv.conf have lines like:
nameserver 192.168.0.10
Where 192.168.0.10 is the IP address of your local DNS server(s)?
Did you copy /etc/nsswitch.dns over /etc/nsswitch.conf before trying to reach websites?
I hope investigating these questions help.

TS1286 Cannot connect to internet with USB
I am a new user of Ipod touch 5th gen 32 gig I cannot connect to internet with usb?
Hi bikernblondie,
When you say that you're trying to connect to the internet with USB, do you mean that you're trying to connect your iPod to the internet so that you can surf the internet with a browser on your iPod, or that you're trying to connect your iPod to your computer so that you can sync it with iTunes and bring over songs, movies, apps, etc.?

Wi-Fi Setup Considerations
Things to consider before you begin
Start with a plan for the physical layout. Depending on whether you have an existing Wi-Fi network, or if you are using your AirPort Express as a standalone Wi-Fi device, there are several options available for you to choose from.
When using Ethernet, Cat6 cable is recommended.
The layout you choose should take into account environmental factors such as physical access, location, range, radio frequency interference, etc.
You will need to consider what AirPort Utility settings to adopt.
You will need to know whether you are using an AirPort Express (802.11b/g) or an AirPort Express (802.11a/b/g/n).
If you will be using more than one Wi-Fi base station, it may be helpful to read the article Extending the range of your wireless network by adding additional Wi-Fi base stations.

ITunes cannot connect to Internet and iPad backup takes Forever
Hi, I have a workstation, high end Windows 7, PC, everything works perfect except the iTunes.. here's my story:
iTunes cannot connect to internet, nor can iTunes Store. I tried "Run Diagnostics" from Help menu, it showed "internet connection verified" green light BUT "Secure link to iTunes Store Failed" Red Light.
Then I thought, lets check other Apple App, Safari.. which couldn't load google for a long time and didn't even show any error, anyway, so I quit and uninstalled it.
I connected iPad for backup, it started all fine. At "Step 2 of 7" backing up, the loading/copying bar came half way up and stayed there for more than 20 hours. So, I quit that too. (Maybe, this is a different problem or connected, im not sure.)
I also checked the setting in Norton Firewall and made sure iTunes was allowed full access. Internet is working perfect in all the other applications, even "Apple Software Update" is working fine, checking for updates and everything. I have latest version of iTunes by the way.
THEN, I uninstalled everything Apple, left no trace of Apple in Program Files, and reinstalled iTunes. STILL SAME PROBLEM!!! Can anybody help? What could've happened, 'coz it used to work just fine before.
Thanks Guys!start itunes.
update podcasts - no response.
click on store - no response.
use diagnostics for connectivity - no response.
sometimes, when i stop itunes from trying to connect, i will get an error code 11222 -

Cannot connect to Internet (using Safari)
Hi all.
I got my Macbook (unibody) for about 7 months ago. I have never had any problems with it, but now suddently Internet has stopped working. I am using only Safari. It just says "cannot connect to Internet" when i try get online. The weird thing is that Internet works to all other computers here at home, but not on mine. I have checked that all the cords are plugged in and all lights are on. I have tried using the internet cords for the other computers on my Mac, but they dont work. The cord i am using is working on other computers too, so there is nothing wrong with it. It is like my Mac doesn´t "recognize" that i have the cord plugged in. When i am on the systems settigns it says that everything is offline, and when i am on the Ethernet settings it does not have any IP adress written or anything, and i have chosen "Use DHCP".
What should i do? I was watching a movie yesterday and had the laptop in my lap, maybe it got overheated or something? Or is it something wrong with the network card? Please help, this is so frustrating!Hi all.

WRT54G2 Cannot connect to Internet in Vista
I'm having WRT54G2 wireles router, but cannot connect to Internet when system is running Vista. I try on another system which is running XP is working fine. I have tried to turn off the Windows and anti virus firewall, but the resukt is still the same. I can see there is a list of available wireless network and can be connected with signal is excellent, but cannot connect to Internet.Wondering what should I do?
What exact error message you are getting while trying to connect the wireless network ?
Try to readjust the wireless settings on your router...Go to Linksys setup page...Under Wireless Tab..Change the channel to 11, If the SSID is linksys(default) then, change it to some unique name...and click on save settings...Go to the subtab "Advance Wireless Settings" under Wireless and change the Beacon Interval to 75, Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect... -

Cannot connect to internet on ipad mini need to use 'other network' please help
cannot connect to internet need another network as haven't password
The Other Network option is so you can connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot that might have its name hidden. Other Network gives you the oppertunity to type the name of the hidden Wi-Fi hotspot so the iPad can see it.
If you are looking for a Wi-Fi hotspot to join, but can not because you do not have the password to join that network, you will need to ask the hotspot's owner for permission and a password before you can join.
If you have internet in your house and you want to connect your iPad Mini to the internet, you will need a wireless router or access point. Ask your internet provider, they may already have that available for you and it would be a quick setup for them.
Good luck,

Ipad2 cannot connect to internet?
Need help. my ipad 2 cannot connect to internet?
any other info? Like is it turned on? is wi-fi turned on? is it all wi-fi networks or just your home one? have you gone into wi-fi & tapped on the network you want to join? what happens when you do that? does it ask for a password? does it put a tick next to the network name? does it give an error message?
These are the basics you should be including in a question like this, otherwise no-one will bother even trying to help with such a vague request
