Cannot connect to iTunes message. Done all normal fixes and not at my end as all else works. Any ideas?

Sorry to be more specific cannot connect to iTunes store.  iTunes comes up fine until purchase then once password placed in it defaults to this message and cxl or reentry

There are a number of threads from other people reporting the same iTunes connection issue, it looks like there might be a problem at Apple's end - but you could try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works, but it probably won't until Apple's fixed it

    Try a reset, hold the home/sleep button until the device powers off then powers back on and you see the apple logo.  Release when you see the apple logo and allow it to finish booting.  Once it is done try updating your apps again.

    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

    Thank you for your question. iOS 7 requires iTunes 11.1.  First, I recommend trying to obtain the update by going to the iTunes menu and selecting Check for Updates.

    If you continue to get the message that iTunes is up to date, you can download the latest version of iTunes here:

    Once the file downloads, double click on the installation file that downloaded to initiate the installation.

    I have signed up to icloud as an email as my previous setup went wrong.  I still can not sign into icloud, iTunes, AppStore so I am unable to get started.  I have tried troubleshooting but nothing helped, I changed my city and time, other than that I am using a brand new devise so no firewalls or out of date software. Apple help was unable to help, I am a first time apple user and I don't have an apple shop locally. Please help? The only issue I can find is it needs an update to iOS 7.0.3..but that apparently wouldn't stop basic setup and login

    No error number. I have 6 apps that need updating. I press update all or each one individually, and the message pops up "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" with ok button under. If I hit update all, the message comes up 6 times and I have to hit ok to clear. I have powered phone off and back on, turned airport mode on and back off, and reset network settings.     Both my iPad and iPhone have the same problem.  I have purchased apps with three different accounts. I understand I will need to use the original acct to do the update but every time it asks for the password I put it in and get a message that I cannot connect to iTunes store. I have even had the password reset and it still will not connect on the upgrade.  But I can sign in with that account and purchase new apps i am loading a free one now just to make sure. So what is that about?  Please do not tell me I have to also use the original password!  We have reset them so many times that there is no way to remember the original one used at time of purchase a year and 1/2 ago.  Please help. I have also upgraded to the iCloud thinking this would solve the problem but it still exists.

    I have just got the iphone 4S.  Have never had an iphone before and am very bad with all this techonolgy stuff.  But have set up an Apple account.  and went to down a free app, but then after i type in my password, and it goes to add it to the desktop (as it were), a message stating "cannot connect to itunes" comes up and the app does not download.
    I am not sure what i am doing wrong. 
    Would really be thankful for some help - and sorry if it something very simple.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes, and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:
