'cannot connect to itunes' on ipad 3, help?
As soon as I type in my password and ID in settings I get the message 'Cannot connect to iTunes Store'. Same thing when I go straight through the itunes app. I have followed the advice about setting the date to a year in the future to no avail. It just won't accept my password and ID even though they are fine on my Mac and iphone and I have everything in icloud. Baffled! Help Please???
Sign out, power your iPad off and back on again and then try signing in again.

Make sure cellular data is turned on..I checked and it was on
Tap Settings > General > Cellular
Switch Enable 3G to off then back on.
Same for Wi Fi. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi. Switch off then back on.'
Then restart the device.

Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
iPad,iPod,iPod Touch Recovery Mode
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

If you can't connect to the iTunes Store and you're repeatedly asked for a password, first try signing out:
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Store, then tap the Apple ID signed in.
Choose Sign Out from the menu that appears.
Restart your iPad next:

After your iPad restarts, tap the iTunes Store icon. You should be able to browse the iTunes Store even if you are not signed in.

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
Once you can connect to the iTunes Store, sign back in from Settings > iTunes & App Store.

I'm trying to update my apps or download new ones, but i get a message saying "cannot connect to itunes." I tried all the ways I could: restart router, sign in and out from apple id in settings and apple store, restarted ipad. When I sign in from my sister's account, I am able to download my apps. Why doesn't my apple id work? All of my other devices connected to the wifi work perfectly, so I know nothing's work with the network connection
